First time I saw computer was at my uncle’s house. It was big black & white window 95 OS computer he use to let me play Dave game on that computer with time limit of 15 minutes, those were the most stimulating for me. Later I got chance to learn computers at my school in 5th grade. We use to learn LOGO, MS paint , MS office and I developed interest in computers making nested loops design patterns in logo was like incredible feeling for me. Due to my interest in computers I took computer as a subject in my 10th grade, was able to learn C programming language. I created small C programs and it felt like creating history.
Till that time I was thinking computer as a mysterious instrument and eager to learn more and more about the subject. My goal to do masters is the hunger in knowing more about the computers. I want to do research in the field I like the most. As it is said do what you like, do what makes you happy. Studying about computers is vital part of my life. I know doing masters is challenging task but I am ready to face them with the experience I gain from my past. I will implement my learning experience in it and would like to evolve my knowledge in the field of computer.
... be working hard and putting the time in. Computers are a great tool and have help build our world into what it is today. With every year that passes we as a human species grow more relying on computer technologies’. That is the biggest reason I have chosen to study computers and all the great tools computers offer us. I know there is a job in computer out there for me and for anyone else that is interested in the computer field.
I was first introduced to the real world CS and programming languages in Grade 9. I learned Java for 4 years and watching my code execute correctly was always delightful. And that is when I decided that I wanted to pursue CS. At UCI, I learned Python in my first year and currently I am learning C++. Some assignments have really blown me away as I was able to connect the dots between different concepts and produce results. To get exposed to CS, I job shadowed a Web Developer and a Director of Operation. To gain new skills, I did a research project in areas of crowdsourcing where I learned Django and applied my knowledge in creating a website with other teammates using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I worked on IoT and Augmented Reality as a summer intern. I am currently working on Augmented Reality as an intern, this quarter. I believe that learning and applying are different things and unless you are able to develop or progress by applying your knowledge you won’t know if you have indeed trodden the path of mastering it. I am grateful to have several opportunities to help me grow and advance in CS.
I have always been interested and intrigued by computers, ever since using a BBC when I was very young. Since then I have become fluent in writing BASIC and more recently I have learnt HTML, the language of the World Wide Web on which I have my own wesite. I use computers for most of my exam coursework such as Solving Equations Using Numerical Methods for Pure Maths 2 and also for recreation.
Being the top student in my secondary school (with 85.5%), I got admitted into Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering at MIT, Ujjain. My curriculum enhanced my knowledge in Microprocessors, Digital Signal Processing, and Analytical and Industrial Instrumentation. Having a strong zeal towards Information System and Computer Programming, I have also learned different languages like C, C++, SQL and PL/SQL.
A fascination for Science & Technology and keen interest in the ever-growing world of technology motivated me to take up engineering. The power of research and delivering it for the growth of Society is what makes me interested in the technology side of science. I choose to major Computer science Engineering with an intense urge to delve into this challenging field. During my under graduation program I learned the various fundamentals of Computer science Engineering which together with practical course works reinforced my interest.
I took up Computer Science and Engineering as my discipline in Bhoj Reddy Engineering College for Women affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, one of the premier institutes in India. My undergraduate education has been a great learning and enriching process for me. It exposed me to all the core areas of Computer Science like operating systems, database management systems, networks and network security, data structures, algorithms and software engineering. These courses have given me a good foundation in the core concepts. My interest lies in Database Management, Programming Languages, Theory of Computation, and Software Engineering. I am fully acquainted with the fast growing subjects like Object Oriented Programming, Analysis and Design. On the other hand, the intensive laboratory classes exposed me to a fascinating world of experimentation. It was here that I discovered the qualities of perseverance and diligence in myself. I feel that these courses have done a lot to prepare me for my future studies and research work.
My first encounter with computers (as far as I can remember) was when my next door neighbors got their very first Apple. I can remember going over to their house and begging to play on their computer. All I wanted to play with was the paint-brush program because I thought it was the neatest thing to be able to move something with your hand and have a picture created for you on the screen according to what your hand did. It was very cool!
This interest never left me, it only grows more profound and passionate with every new discovery I make. From communicating with unknown sources to seeing the wonders of the internet for the first time, computers have left me fascinated with just how much power yet mystery they hold. As previously mentioned computing plays a big part in the society we live in and it surrounds us in more ways we know. I studied ICT system support at Wiltshire college Trowbridge and I can remember studying the module called technologies of the internet while studying this module I remember being intrigued by this as you get an understanding of the function of the internet and how the different types of communications take place. I was also intrigued by how to create, support and maintain the internet.
I have always been curious how computers and applications operated ever since I was thirteen. Since then I knew I wanted a job that involved technology because of my curiosity of it. When I started high school and saw electives like web design and computer support tech I knew those classes would be great for my future. These courses take you through a computer's hardware and software and their components. Support tech is the more hardware-based class while web design was the software-based course. Both, however, are important in the software job field.
