For this assignment I decided to use the keywords “Mustang Cobra”, because it’s one of my favorite cars. I will search using Ask, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Dogpile, Webopedia, Yippy, TheInternetArchive, Mahalo, Yahoo, and Google. Then I will list the differences and also what I like and dislike about that particular search engine. I first searched “Ask.com”. The first thing I notice is that the “Ads related” section takes up all of my screen, which I don’t like. I actually have to scroll down to see any non-ad results. To the right of the screen is a small section labeled “Popular Q&A” It displays common questions associated with the keywords “Mustang Cobra”. The first true result is a link to a question on “Ask.com”, so they obviously promote there own website first. …show more content…
Next I performed a search using “Bing.com”.
I first see two advertisement links. Below the ads is an “Images” section filled with pictures of Mustang Cobras. On the right of the screen is a “related searches” section that displays more specific search terms like “2015 Mustang Cobra”, “1969 Mustang Cobra”, etc. When I search “Dogpile.com” I see only four ads at the top. The results follow below. Similar to Bing a related searches section is on the right. Dogpile did a much better job at finding good results then I had expected. I search “DuckDuckGo.com” and immediately see a bar that stretches across the top of the page. Inside the bar is a photo of a Mustang Cobra and summarized information that was gathered from Wikipedia. I really liked that simple feature. “Google.com” first gives me four images of some Mustangs and a link to see more. Below the photos are the results. I don’t see any advertisements whatsoever, which I love. On “Yahoo.com” I see four advertisement links then the results. On the top right of the page there is a “related ads” section. Like most of the search engines you will find a related searches section on the right of the page, but also one at the
bottom. I enter the keywords “Mustang Cobra” into WeboPedia.com and it returns nothing. The about page stated that this website is used as an online dictionary for IT and computer related subjects. Maybe I can find a use for this website at a later point in time. When I search “Yippy.com” I first notice a menu on the left. The menu allows you to narrow down results by clicking one of the categories on it. The categories are sort of related but not very well organized. I think this feature is a good idea, but the implementation isn’t too great. Next I try to search “Mustang Cobra” on “TheInternetArchive” (web.archive.org). The page returned no results because it’s not made for searching keywords. This website is basically a searchable archive of things that have been on the internet. On “Mahalo.com” I don’t see a search bar or anywhere to enter my keywords. It seems like Mahalo has more of a directory layout than a typical search engine style. I honestly wouldn’t use it too much. After going through all of these different search engines I think I would stick with Google. One reason Google is my preference would be because it rarely displays too many ads. Another reason is because Google is linked to my email and YouTube accounts which makes it quick and easy to access them from whenever I’m in the middle of a search. Instead of going to a different website and logging on, I can just click a link in the corner to see my email.
The corvette was first introduced in January 1953. To experiment with the car, they only made 300 cars, which were all made by hand and powered by a 235-cubic-inch 6-cylinder engine. The corvette was designed to show the world that General Motors could make a sports car that was a stylish two seater. All 1953 corvettes were polo white with red interiors. The engine of the car generated 150 horsepower and had a 2-speed power glide automatic transmission. Researchers have found that the first corvette has been known to go over 150 miles per hour.
Flying Tigers is the name of a mercenary group of American pilots that helped defend China and the Burma Road from the bombing of the Japanese during World War II. The name of their planes was Tomahawks, but the Chinese called them Fei Hu for the sharks teeth painted on their planes. Flying Tigers were known as the American Volunteer Group of the Chinese Air Force. The Flying Tigers did not see combat until December 1941 when the Japanese started bombing China.
More than 22,000 Mustangs were ordered on April 17, 1964 when it was first released by Ford. Show rooms were visited by more than four million people and there were over 2,600 ads in newspapers. In 1974, the Mustang II began. Buyers loved it since it was smaller and had a weaker engine. This would use less fuel during the fuel crisis. Sales had tripled since the year before. It also was easier to drive because of its rack-and-pinion steering. In 1978 Mustang added many fashion features that would appeal to female buyers. The rear seat was divided into two seats even though it had been a single seat in the years before. Along with many new colors there were also pockets in the door handles, illuminated driver vanity mirrors, and "Fresno Cloth" seat inserts. In 1994, Ford released a redesigned Mustang. It had a lot of power and Ford brought back the grill. The 1994 Mustang convertible sold 123,198 cars. In 2008 Ford Mustang was the last pony car remaining on the road. Mustang is still one of the greatest success in sales in automotive history and is America's best selling convertible.
There are many different kinds of vehicles on the road, but the ones that stand out the most are muscle cars and sports cars. Their unique design and body styles will catch people’s attention wherever they go. The Ford Mustang, a high performing muscle car introduced in 1964, is the most notable muscle car on the streets. It is most known for its unique body design with a long hood and short, rear decks. Their high performing V8 engines make their exhausts have a really deep, loud growl. When you think of sports cars, the first that comes to mind is the Chevrolet Corvette. Its sleek body style paired with its ability to stick to the ground around corners, makes it a very notable sports car in America. The two most iconic versions of these

The two companies that created these search engines have billions of dollars and numerous other resources at their disposal available for the research, the development and the innovation of their products or services. But even if you have all the funds in the world at your fingertips, if you have a bad brand image in the consumers eyes your brand will have extreme difficulty inserting itself in the market. So how does the public perceive these brands?

A search engine was built in January 1996, as a research project by Larry Page, who was soon joined by Sergey Brin, two Ph.D. students at Stanford University, California. This search engine was named “BackRub,” and it was the beginning of a new era. The name of this website was changed afterward to what we know now as “Google.” I have been studying the business case of Google in one of my MIS classes and using the information I gained from that course, I am able to talk about Google. Since my audience is the instructor and my classmates, Google helps you find information that you need for your daily life in college. I want my audience to know by the end of my speech about Google //what is the history of Google, /what makes it special, //and lessons to learn from the experience of Google’s founders.
A highly popular muscle and sports car, the Ford Mustang functions as a daily driver, weekend warrior, and a show winning work of mechanical art. Whether someone just needs a basic transportation to get from point A to point B, an eight second quarter-mile beast, or a show stopping work of power and beauty, Ford has produced a Mustang for every need.
