When I consider an organization that provides many opportunities for Co-op students to develop professional growth and network with senior management, Manulife Financial comes to mind. After listening to what students are saying about working at Manulife/John Hancock, it does not seem to be that typical insurance company, rather it is way more than that, a place where I can advance my skills so that after graduation, I am better prepared to enter the workforce. The opportunity to now be a part of all of that is almost surreal, though my passion, knowledge in business operations and experience with technology and customer service make me confident that I am the ideal fit for your team.

I want to be a Bank of America Student Leader because I wish to be able to experience new opportunities for volunteering and interact with others who shares the same interests. This opportunity would also allow me to learn more about leadership skills so that I will be a better leader in the future to make improvements for the community. Even though I lack many traits, I am willing to learn from criticisms and I am open minded to others’ opinions. Born talented or not, I believe that the desire to learn is the most important characteristic that a person can possess and I am willing to learn from this opportunity if I am lucky enough to receive it. Being a Vietnamese immigrant who is living in a large Vietnamese community in Garden Grove, I

Apart from the experience I have gained at LT Security Inc., my various internship positions have also exposed me to eye-opening responsibilities. For example, as a marketing intern at MySelf New York, I engaged in organized discussions with customers as well as colleagues in the pursuit of better promotional and marketing strategies. I have also gained experience with other matters such as employee coaching and assistance, employee relations, communication and implementation of policies and procedures during my time at Stony Brook University as intern in arts management and at Yunnan Changji Real Estate Co. In the Matt Taibi book, discussed how a family owned bank called Abacus Federal Saving Bank got prosecuted for the collapse of the world economy in 2008. However, big companies like Citi Bank, Wells Fargo, Chase never get prosecuted even though they all have been involved in countless scandals in crisis of ‘08. These banks had been caught selling defective loans that had actualy cost victims huge amounts of money, and nobody from these giant companies was being arrested. These banks had already paid hundreds of millions of dollars in civil settlements for virtually every kind of fraud and manupulation. If the monopoly banks like Citi banks,

Being the CEO of Countrywide Financial, it would be my responsibility to provide quality mortgage services to our customer and keeping our processes ethically sound. In order to make sound loan decisions, we must have established guidelines that all of our loan originators follow. I do believe that every case deserves its own individualized decision based on the specifics of the application, but we should have a base that we all follow. The appraisers we work with should also have a similar code of ethics. We would not want to have established a solid process only to not have ethical supporting teams that we do business with outside our organization. We will need to provide our loan originators with the training they need to do the job

I am currently majoring in Finance at Carlson School of Management, and I have decided to explore the career and future growth of a financial analyst. I chose to explore this career because some of my cousins work in this field and I’m interested in numbers and analysis. I also have an interest in following the stock market and working in a stimulating environment. What sets me apart from others is that I’m able to use time management efficiently. I’m able to study and complete major assignments while still finding plenty of time to socialize with others. Having taken StrengthsQuest last year, I learned that I strive for the future, I’m often positive, and I’m a believer in harmony. I believe in consistency, the idea that all people should
Finance is a field that had always fascinated me right from my undergraduate college days. What make me interested in this particular field of study are the art of finance and the complexity of investment market which would allow me to employ my personal skills, such as analytical and communication skills, along with my personal characteristics such as dedication and compassion for what I do. As one of the most important sector in the world, I believe it would provide me with a broad range of career options.
I became an enthusiast of finance ever since I was at high school. At the political economy class, my teacher asked us: if you have a million RMB, how would you use it? She then introduced us the concept of investment, and I was intrigued specifically by the stock. For the latter two years of my high school, I have been reading books and articles regarding the stock market in the U.S. and in China. As one of the outstanding students ranked top 1% in College Entrance Exam in Hainan Province, China, I was accepted by the City University of Hong Kong with a full scholarship. With the strong interest in finance, I chose quantitative finance and risk management as my major.
Never have I ever climbed a mountain peak. As a child, I imagined myself conducting expeditions in deep-frozen pathways, leading amateur explorers to the top of the world, and instructing rookies in surviving harsh blizzards. Even though slightly altered, my childhood dream has been achieved. I led a team of fellow classmates, in my Strategic Management course, to the success summit of a financial competition. Over the course of a semester, I and my teammates were supposed to create and manage a company of the IT industry, in a computer-simulated environment, along with other four rival teams. I dealt with strategy and financial matters of our virtual enterprise, while my colleagues were working on marketing and manufacturing. During the four months of the exercise, I have experienced finance from various aspects: capital budgeting, through selecting favorable investment for upcoming quarters; debt management, by assessing the necessary amount and efficiency of loans; profitability analysis and dividend policy, which had been used to compile the company’s general performance index. Working in a multinational team, which included an American, a Norwegian and a Moldovan, strengthen my negotiations skills, as well as flexibility and cooperation. But above all, this experience intensified my passion for finance. Of course, a pleasant bonus was the fact that, in the end, our company’s financial performance was six times the performance of second-best team.
Without this experience I would be extremely confused as to which career path suits me best. Having a name like Fexco down on my C.V. will stand to me in the future because it is such a big internationally recognized company with an excellent reputation and I can see why this is the case. I think what made my work placement all the more enjoyable was the people I got the work with. They made me feel a real part of the team and were also very willing to assist me when I required it. I am extremely grateful to all the staff at Fexco for making my experience with them a pleasure. Fexco is financial and business solutions provider that operates on a global scale.
