After graduating from Stony Brook University with a degree in Business Management-Marketing specialization in May 2015, I would like to join New York University as a postgraduate student to further my studies by pursuing the Master of Integrated Marketing course offered in the institution.

While at LT Security Inc., I served as a member of the sales team during which I participated in the development and execution of various e-mail based marketing campaigns as well as other tailor-made promotional strategies. Testimony to my worth in the sales team was the fact that I consistently exceeded the sales goal set in most marketing campaigns. However, despite my evident strength in marketing, the tasks had their fair share of challenges. What this experience has inspired in me in the long run has been a strong urge to increase my skill and wit in the area of marketing and the Master of Integrated Marketing course at New York University fits the bill as a tool to make me an ideal and relevant marketer. Topics such as digital Marketing covered in the course spark a thirst in me that will only be quenched after I am enrolled. Apart from the experience I have gained at LT Security Inc., my various internship positions have also exposed me to eye-opening responsibilities. For example, as a marketing intern at MySelf New York, I engaged in organized discussions with customers as well as colleagues in the pursuit of better promotional and marketing strategies. I have also gained experience with other matters such as employee coaching and assistance, employee relations, communication and implementation of policies and procedures during my time at Stony Brook University as intern in arts management and at Yunnan Changji Real Estate Co. Ltd where I served as an administrative
But as my internship grew closer to the end date in early September, I began to reflect on my experiences with a “Big Four” accounting firm. After only three months, I had gained exposure to a handful of very different, and very large client work and worked with some very intelligent individuals throughout. I had made some good friends and several acquaintances while interning at KPMG and had spent some very rewarding time helping out the local community volunteering. I had found a passion working with partnerships and forming client relationships.
Not only am I confident that Rutgers University will fully assist me in reaching my personal enrichment, but I have faith that it will help me to achieve my career goals as well. Throughout the years, the Scarlet Knights have surely made a name for themselves in New Jersey. I have yet to decide on a specific major, but attending Rutgers will allow me to get a taste of the many majors the University has to offer. Benefiting from Rutgers is not the question. The real question is how would one not? A degree from Rutgers has a such a strong value. Not just that, but there is a lot of involved with the school and students.
As the media landscape changes, marketers may change the type of promotions they use in order to reach their target markets. With changing technology and social media (e.g., Facebook), less money is being budgeted for traditional media such as magazines and more money is budgeted for “new media.” Regardless of the type of media used, marketers use integrated marketing communications (IMC) to deliver one consistent message to

As a first-year Master of Business Administration student at Brock University with three years of work experience, I’d love to bring my expertise and enthusiasm to the Tim Hortons. It is indeed with great interest that I am applying for the position of 2017 Summer Internship - MBA at the Tim Hortons. I noticed the position on LinkedIn and was intrigued by the fit with my own experience and professional goals. Prior to pursuing an MBA degree, I worked as an Assistant Operations Manager, during which I was primarily managing the workforce and overseeing the products’ quality. We will begin by defining integrated marketing communications (IMC) and we will refer to the benefits that can accrue from developing this approach. Shimp (1997) suggests “IMC is the process of developing and implementing various forms of persuasive communications programmes with customers and prospects over time. The goal of IMC is to influence or directly affect the behaviour of the selected communications audience. IMC considers all sources of brand or company contacts which a customer or prospect has with the product or service as potential delivery channels for future messages. Further, IMC makes use of all forms of communication which are relevant to the customer and prospects, and to which they might be receptive.”
Today’s business environment is highly dynamic and competitive. In order to become successful, companies must use advanced marketing techniques and branding strategies. The significance of Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) is therefore, very critical. IMC sends out a single message through different media vehicles, which helps the company to target a wide variety of audience. According to Gerber (2008), Integrated Marketing Communication is the process of using a combination of different types of marketing communication to send the same message to consumers. The following report lays an IMC plan for N...
Eat fresh. With 2 mere words I have made you think of getting a 5 dollar footlong from America’s largest restaurant chain due only to great marketing. Business is conglomerations of numbers, tedious analysis, and risky result; but in this boring cloud of excel spreadsheets and pie charts is an oasis where creativity can be released: Marketing. Maintaining the image of a brand and expanding it further is the marketing department’s job and they keep the companies fresh and alive. I want to pursue a career in marketing and sales in business because I have the traits, the desire, the educational resources, and the data on my side to become successful in the field and more importantly, in life.
As a marketing intern for Nasdaq Corporate Solutions, I had a great opportunity to work in thriving business setting that enhanced my management education experience. I learned the various nuances behind a fast-paced company and the values and tasks for a successful internship. I was also able to progress my career and gain insights on what I potentially want to pursue as a future career. Overall, I was pleased with the outcome of the internship because I worked on meaningful projects that added value to Nasdaq’s goals. First of all, understanding the company’s values, mission, products and services is the key to being successful later on the internship.

Learning is a continuous process and the day that you stop learning is the day that you start decreasing your rewards and lower levels of satisfaction. My ardent desire to acquire knowledge has motivated me to pursue higher studies at graduate level, and to take up a career in research in industry. I have taken this decision after carefully considering my academic background, profound interest in research and strong aptitude for problem solving.
Shortly after, I was promoted to be an account manager in AIESEC for the partner company National Instruments. As an account manager, I was responsible for facilitating communications among a National Instruments’ representative, AIESEC Turkey committee president, and our local chapter president. This responsibility helped me learn and enhance my skills in business communication and time management. Through the dietetic internship, I can incorporate these skills to communicate effectively and in a timely manner and also learn about communication in clinical setting. The following summer I shadowed a dietitian at a local hospital.
Being loyal has given me the fundamental human skills, such as responsibility, consideration and decency. As a student at Detroit Mercy, following Jesuit ideals has allowed me to practice these values to integrate them into a permanent way of life. Values must be structured, consistent and practiced to be legitimate. Staying loyal to your values helps build and maintain your character, which, at the end of the day, is all we have. I understand the positive effects loyalty creates as I now embrace Ignatian values in order to pursue high-reaching goals in life.
At the start of this module, I had no idea what to expect. When I heard the term “Marketing”, only one thing came to my mind: presentations. When I used to be in school, I remembered vaguely that my presentation skills weren’t exactly even close to Suze Orman, who is considered to be America’s most motivational speaker. In fact, they were so bad, I wasn’t sure of doing this course in the beginning. But then it wasn’t like I had a choice. I had opted for BA Hons. Business Management and the course came along with a module named Marketing.
