I have many goals in my life, but when you ask me what my short-term and long-term goals are, I have to think about it for a little bit. My short-term goal would probably be finishing high school with an honors degree, get a 32 or higher on my ACT, and get into a good college. My long-term goal would be becoming a veterinarian, or calculus teacher, or getting a good and high paying job to support a family later on in life. Short-term goals don’t have to be within the next day, or week, or even month. My short-term goal is within the next 4 years. Both of my brothers graduated with a different honors degree, and I want to get one too. The honors degree is when you get enough hours, or take a certain class that can be hard most the time. Besides getting an honors degree, I want to try and get higher than a 32 on my ACT before I graduate. My math and science score is already like in the 30s or 28. My other scores bring it down, but that’s life. You have to work to getting good grades, and high ACT scores. Besides graduating with honors, I want to get into a good college like my brother. My brother is going to Alabama or Texas for college, and both schools sent him many requests to go there. Getting into a good …show more content…
My long-term goal is to get a good job and have a family later on. I have always loved animals. My family calls me the animal person since I am always looking out for them and helping them get better. This is one reason why I want to be a veterinarian because helping animals is something I will always want to do no matter what. It takes 4-8 years to become a veterinarian, but it is worth the time to get a good job. If I don’t become a veterinarian I want to become a calculus teacher because I love math, and calculus is hard math. You don’t just go for a job you won’t enjoy or won’t like. Try to get a job that you will love and want to have for the rest of your

I have a plan to attend college once I graduate high school. I have not yet achieved that goal, but I hope to. I want to attend a two year school and study to be a Vet Technician. Hopefully once I do graduate college, I’ll finally be able to work with animals, My dream career. I’m unsure if I want to keep it simple and work in a shelter, or if I want to save lives and become a vet, or perhaps work as a zookeeper. Growing up. I used to always dream about opening my own “Pet Hotel”, maybe someday I could do that. Honestly, I don’t care much about what I do, as long as I’m happy doing it.
My short-term goals will be completed throughout High School. I am taking a lot of Mathematical classes in High School, this year I am taking Statistics and Business Math. Next year I will either take Calculus or Precalculus. I like taking math courses because there is a lot of math in anyone's life time. Also my career choices require a lot of math, most classes they like to see I have already taken. I plan to get high grades in all of my classes so Colleges will take me seriously. One of my favorite classes is Statistics and I have a decent grade in it too. My activities at school include being in the Woodshop Club. It is very enjoyable for me and I hope to do more in woodworking as I grow older as a hobby. Activities outside of school include mainly Boy Scouts and work. I plan to get my Eagle Scout rank and I might go on to get Eagle Palms. I work as a Concrete laborer and I also do some finishing, it is a very

The types of goals set can differ from short and long-term goals. Short-term goals are something that can be achieved in less than a year and long-term goals are anywhere from two to five years or something that will make a career last a long time (Merriam-Webster, 2014). Having goals set and using the virtue ethics theory can help with the decision-making process and boost ones character. Short-Term Goals for Virtue Ethics A short-term goal is something that progresses in a short-time frame and can lead to a successful long-term goal (Merriam-Webster, 2014).

Goal setting is key in motivation; goals need to be clear, sharp, and realistic. To make these feel more achievable it is better to break these down into smaller medium-term goals and medium-term goals into short-term goals so that you have a clear connection between what one does every day and their long-term goals.
The third component in strategic planning is defining how to accomplish the mission and vision and to correct any critical areas found during the examination of the organization. This is done by setting long term and short term goals related to each objective for continuous development. Setting goals focus on “…improving the overall organizational competitiveness, effectiveness, and growth” (Godiwalla, 2016, p. 11). Goals are extremely imperative because they offer a foundation for development and organizational guidelines for policymaking and justification for the actions that take place in an organization. The process of setting goals is well-organized, and should be defined for different groups of stakeholders. Goals should be realistic
My long term and short term savings goals fit in with my life goals because I want to be able to have a career that is both rewarding personally and allows me to make enough money to pursue the things that I like to do. I like go on vacations and have fun with friends and family and plan to live in an area that is in another state from the one I live in now. To have these things in the future it is a good idea to start planning to set aside money to help accomplish these objectives. My long-term savings goals are to go to college, buy a house, move to another state, travel, and purchase a new car. I estimate that I will need to save at least thirty thousand dollars over the next ten years to accomplish these goals.
My long-term personal goal is to be at a place where I am genuinely happy with myself and my life and not allowing others and their opinions on me or what I have done or am doing in life to
Pursuing a Master of Science in Geospatial Technology (MSGT) means that I will have become the first-generation college student, and now first-generation graduate student in my family. Following this master’s degree is important because I am the glue that holds my family together financially, and this can open several windows of opportunity for me in the future. My family has pushed me to be the best student and person I can be and have supported me in all my educational endeavors. I have learned from my parents that hard work and determination are the skills required to execute my goals. The short-term goal I wish to complete is to get accepted and complete the MSGT, and the long-term goal is to accomplish in advancing my career and working in a GIS related field that involves implementing sustainability within urban and non-urban areas.
Research a life goal Although I have many goals in life, these two stick out to me the most. They stick out in every decision I make and they help me make good decisions. What I want most in life is to become a pharmacist and to create a family with someone I love. I want the family most importantly because I was raised in a very tight Greek family.
I have always wanted to make good grades but I never really set any goals but, then I realized that setting academic goals are way more important than people realize . I then started to set goals like my sophomore year of high school after I did that it really helped me focus on my future and what I wanted for myself. My goals I think pushed me so much more academically they opened my eyes a little bit more. One Goal I set was to graduate High school with a Core 40 diploma, which I did, so that is one goal down and a bunch more to go. My senior year I started applying to college but my main goal was to make into Saint Mary-of-the Woods and when I received my acceptance letter I was ecstatic. So far, I am still trying to figure out my academic goals for college but, I do know for sure that I want to succeed in every single way that I can so I can make a better future for myself. A goal that I made this year is to make the dean’s list every single time, for this I will study so hard for every test, do all of my homework, and ask questions when I have them and maybe even getting a tutor. This challenge will probably be really tough but I believe that I can do it if I put my mind to it, and I tend to be a very determined
