To make myself the most marketable, specialization of a field of knowledge is a key factor. Specialization starts with education and having specific and extensive knowledge in GIS allows me to differentiate myself from others which I have found to be very important when competing for

I sat in my child development class in a “brick and mortar” classroom setting. What was I doing there? I was extremely interested in what the professor was speaking on and what was being discussed. However, I was beginning to doubt whether I wanted to continue in my current field of study, Speech/Language Pathology. I no longer felt I was being fulfilled. There was something lacking. I talked to a few of my friends who mentioned how much money I would make as a Speech/Language Pathologist. I heard what they were saying, but somehow it just did not matter. I had to find the missing link…….
Successful completion of graduate school is a momentous and joyous occasion. It is the moment a graduate student has been working towards throughout graduate school. What is important to remember is not all individuals who start graduate school will successfully complete their degree program. Attending graduate school comes with a high price. Students must commit huge chunks of time to school assignments. Graduate students sacrifice personal time as well as time spent with family and friends. Moreover, there is the monetary cost of attending graduate school. After paying such a high price and losing out on quality time, students want to successfully graduate. However, completing graduate school can have a bitter sweet ending. My smart goal is to earn about $300,000 to $500,000 in about one decade or so. I will show you how I plan to achieve this goal with what I learned from this
For every job that you have, you will need to have a certain set of skills to be successful. For example, two people are looking to be hired, but only one person will actually get the job. The two people have near identical resumes but a few things make them different. While the first person was able to articulate his ideas when he was being interviewed, the second person could not. The first person was incredibly dedicated to getting the job while the second person was not. Last but not least, the first person was able to adapt to the fast moving paced job unlike the second person. In the end the first person got the job because of his dedication, flexibility, and communication skills. It would be extremely unbeneficial to go into a job without having, in my opinion, these most important set of skills. While there are several job skills that are essential to being successful, I strongly believe that being dedicated, adaptable, and have phenomenal communication skills are the most important.

An education is best valued when it is used to serve one’s community at a larger aspect- this belief has been imprinted in my judgment from the commencement of my undergraduate study. This persuasion and a natural aptitude for energy science and mathematics induced me that petroleum engineering is the most fitting career for me and developed a sense in my mind that higher study is mandatory to be competent in this field. I desire a master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering followed by a PhD not only because it is the most fulfilling way to exercise my natural talent as a scholar but also it will give me the opportunity to serve my country as she has paucity of researchers in this discipline.
My entire educational background has prepared me for my next goal: to obtain my master’s degree in environmental engineering. After graduating from high school I got accepted into Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. While at Cincinnati State, I took a wide verity of engineering courses like Geographic Information Systems, Surveying and Drafting, and Fluid Dynamics as well as Environmental courses like Environmental Sampling, Regulations and Permits, and Water and Wastewater Treatment Control. Although I only obtained my associates degree from Cincinnati State, I took extra math courses like pre-calculus to help prepare me to further my education. After graduating from Cincinnati State, I then transferred to Shawnee State University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering Technology. Shawnee helped me expand my knowledge and I took engineering courses like thermodynamics, toxicology, and Into to Electricity/Electronics. Attending Shawnee State University prepped for the working world and gave me opportunities for entry level employment.
