STATEMENT OF PURPOSE – By Mahendar Reddy Kaukuntla There are few decisions in life that will affect you as profoundly as the decision to seek higher education. The degree you earn is both a ticket to personal and professional fulfillment and a badge representing hard work and dedication. The world is built by people who have trusted to their own unshaken will in hope and in despair. Those are the heroes, the idealists who amidst the gulf of solitude more isolating than that, which surrounds a dying man, could think great about their future. Their lives foment many spirited acolytes for whom destiny is no matter, a chance, but a matter of choice and it is nothing to be waited for, but a thing to be achieved. I wish to place as one among them. Mahendar Reddy Kaukuntla S/o Mr. Sudhakar Reddy Kaukuntla. Apart from being a B-Tech graduate from Patnam Rajendar Reddy Memorial Engineering College affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, R. R Dist, Andhra Pradesh, India, which is graded as one of the best colleges offering Bachelor of Technology in various fields at undergraduate level for throughout Andhra Pradesh. There is an appropriate time for everything, sometimes one has to create it or has to wait for it. I am an apostle of this dictum and it is my appetite for amelioration which has led me to the decision of pursuing masters, following the completion of under graduation. My urge to pursue masters kindled in the junior year of my college when I had hit upon the word Industrial Engineering and every day since then my staunch desire for this field has increased exponentially.
“Seriously kid!? You have the whole world at your feet, just pick something already!” he said with an aggravated look upon his face. Mr. Bluemer and I had formed quite the straightforward yet amiable relationship after serving him dinner almost every night in the dining room of the retirement home I worked at. “Mr. Bluemer, it is not that simple. I can’t just pick a job off the top of my head, there are too many things I like!” We had been having this argumentative conversation for a few nights now, ever since my college applications opened. “That’s just it Rebecca, you already know what you like, which means you already know what you should be in the future.” Mr. Bluemer had always been an insightful individual to discuss ideas with. Having gained an abundance of wisdom throughout his 86 years of life, I knew I could turn to him for guidance, but what I did not realize was that he would be the one person to inspire me the most.
Learning is a continuous process and the day that you stop learning is the day that you start decreasing your rewards and lower levels of satisfaction. My ardent desire to acquire knowledge has motivated me to pursue higher studies at graduate level, and to take up a career in research in industry. I have taken this decision after carefully considering my academic background, profound interest in research and strong aptitude for problem solving.
Furthermore, upon commencing my studies at (name of university), I am optimistic to obtain a rewarding, although highly demanding, senior position at one of my country’s largest Electric-Industrial Enterprises and apply my accumulated knowledge to the advancement of my career and hopefully, the science as well.
To study in engineering field, I had to overcome barrier, a common entrance examination, which I had to take along with almost two lakhs of students, all aspiring to get through. I passed with flying colors, being placed in the top 20% of all students who took the examination. An enormous number of challenges and rapid development in technology and science have made me to choose Mechanical Engineering. I took up Mechanical Engineering in CMR College of Engineering and Technology affiliated to prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, as my undergraduate major because it has giant potential to become a dominant force in this era. I have secured distinction in Mechanical stream from this university and I have maintained a clean and brilliant academic record throughout my years in this course.
Today, we find ourselves in the golden age of Computer Science. The various facets of this relatively young technology are growing at an unrivalled pace. I believe that in order to be a successful professional in computers field. I need specialized training beyond my undergraduate level to have a competitive edge and help me keep pace with the generation of problems and product applications. Masters will give me the depth of knowledge and exposure and will also act as a catalyst in my career. Hence, I want to pursue graduate studies at a university which has an excellent masters program in all the fields of computer science. NJIT satisfies these criteria perfectly. The research work being performed by the faculty there appeals to me. I am sure that working in such an excellent setup will give me valuable experience and help me to produce excellent results.
After basic education, I have developed a strong urge to attain academic excellence and to engage in research in the field of virology. I strongly feel that an MS from a reputed university will help me achieve my goal. United States will offer me a very conducive atmosphere for research and development.t I am eagerly awaiting for admission from your esteemed university and embark for my future journey in this field.
Regrettably the above slogan perfectly suits the present condition of healthcare in my country. An endeavor to bring about a change is the prime motive for me in aspiring to be a Public Health Professional.
It is after a good deal of self evaluation that I have decided to pursue my self graduate studies in Electrical & Electronics Engineering leading to a doctorate. This is a decision followed naturally after carefully considering my ultimate background, the area of my interest, and my ultimate professional ambition, which is to pursue a research career, either as a teaching faculty member or a R & D department of industry. i have come to terms with the fact that there is an enormous proportion of subject to be assimilated, therefore I want to take up a research oriented course in my career. These coupled with a background of my educated father, an Superintendent engineer in APGENCO has made my choice of higher studies all the more obvious.
The decision to pursue masters in engineering management has not happened suddenly. Over the past 5 years, several aspects of my studies and work built the passion and interest in the field.
studying biology.I love to read books on life sciences and the natural process that occur in nature ,I used to experiments in my home on seed by seeing their different stages of growth by cultivating them in sand .Throughout my school i had excelled in academics by being in top 10 of my entire class.. Also in the state level engineering entrance examination i secured 86.4%. At that time the field of biotechnology field was new to my country and made many remarkable achievements. The passion towards biological sciences made me to take btech in biotechnology in jntua collage of engineering in pulivendula which is an government university.
Imagine a little girl watching on TV a documentary about an African tribe to which water was sacred because it was very scarce. That girl was me I was 8 years old and It was the first time I understood natural resources are limited and that we do not have the same water and food accessibility and accessibility. A few long time afterwards I started to be interested in the environmental and food issues and I became a Greenpeace volunteer against genetically altered organisms. Then, I read a story about the expectations in agriculture by 2050 and I realized that the planet needed solutions based on scientific knowledge like biotechnology. This and other experiences motivated my life plan and motivated to apply to the Agris Mundus Master of Science.
During the past several years, I have developed some unique skills and education in India. Although I am sure that I will obtain an excellent education at the University of Northeastern, I will bring my own skills, education and culture to your program.
