The problem is that in the past few years, there has been a lack of awareness when it comes to the school yearbook. Students and parents have been unaware of yearbook purchasing information. Many parents and students have been left disappointed by not receiving their yearbook. This is a problem because the parents and students want to buy the yearbook but because of the lack of awareness don’t know when it is sold. Because of this, many students and parents don’t by the yearbook and then end up getting disappointed because they wanted it. The thing that causes the problem is the lack of awareness
The yearbook committee would like a video to show at assemblies, parent conferences, and on the school website to help create awareness about the school’s yearbook. The students care because it’s a yearbook about them and they would like to keep the videos as memories. So when they don’t receive one because they don’t know when they sold it they get really disappointed. The parents care because it’s their children’s yearbooks and they want to keep those memories with them forever. They didn’t know when they were selling them but that doesn’t mean they don’t want to have pictures of their children so they can look at them later when they grow up. Parents really love their children so it’s pretty hard on them when their child grows up to become a man or woman because they don’t want to let them go. When that happens the parents like to have pictures of their children growing up. The yearbook committee cares because when parents and students don’t know about when the sales begin they have trouble selling as many yearbooks as they would like. They work really hard on making a great yearbook and end up experiencing the frustration of low book...

Pashtana said she would rather die than not go to school and acted on her words. Her education is limited and she doesn’t have all the recourses to make school easier, yet she still loves and wants all the knowledge she can get. While I sit in my three story private school, a clean uniform free of holes or loose seams, my macbook air in my lap, the smell of cookies rising up from the cafeteria, wishing to be anywhere else but there. No one has beat me because I want to go to school, no one has forced me into a marriage, I’ve never put my life in jeopardy for the sake of education. Pashtana’s life and choices made me take a moment to stop and reflect on my own life and how fortunate I am to have what I have. We dread the thought of school because to us it is a chore, it’s a hassle, it’s something that messes with our sleep schedule, it is something that gets in the way of lounging around and binge watching Netflix. Pashtana doesn’t take her school and education for granted because she does not have the same liberties we do. While we enjoy driving into the city and shopping over the weekend, Pashtana unwillingly makes wedding arrangements with her cousin. While we complain about our mom nagging us to clean our room, Pashtana is getting beaten by her father because she wants to learn more about the world. While we have stocked fridges and pantries and
She compares to the mournful emotions of the audience of describing the difference of students that are “highly successful” and the “disillusioned” students. The highly successful students are the students that work hard and have good grades. The disillusioned students are the opposite that have little contact with teachers and do not care for what grade they are given. The issue of emotion that comes from these two is there is always going to be students that do not try hard enough to succeed in having a better education for themselves. More of the higher percentage are girls that are successful and boys are not so successful. She explains that because of this higher percentage, that the highly successful students will get more attention from teachers, parents, and
In the days leading up to her graduation, she was so excited about receiving her diploma for her academic accomplishments, even though she hasn’t accomplished a lot in life by experiencing a little bit of it. She felt like the birthday girl with her pretty dress, beautiful hair, and the presents she received from Uncle Willie and her mother. She felt like it w...
Today I will be describing my design for a music video set in ancient Sumer. My video will depict elements from the Hymns of Inanna and the video of “Blurred Lines.” These two elements will allow a reflection of the cultural metanarrative and the sexual script of ancient Sumer. The video will play out between two gods and a priestess. My video will have four main sections that will breakdown what the video consists of and how it all comes together. These sections will be my main characters, setting, imagery, and lastly the theme of the video. There will be subsections that serve to only expand on each of my main sections and to give clarity to them.

“I always knew I wanted to be a teacher,” she stated. Her passion for helping children with special needs was developed at a later age. The reason why Chris decided to be a special education teacher was because of two twin boys in her grade who had special needs. Chris was only in kindergarten at the time, but she recalls that one of these boys did not get to go to school. The other boy, Jimmy, could come to school, but he would have to leave halfway through the school day. Chris was confused and upset about how Jimmy could not be at school and asked her mom about this. The reason why Jimmy and his brother were not able to be at school was because there was no special education program available. This moment, even though she was in kindergarten, shaped Chris’s plan for her life.
I want things to be taken care of. I don’t want things to be thrown around, lost, or stolen. I want things to be put up and taken care of. I want our things to look nice. I don’t want to look like we don’t take care of our things. I want people to think of us as a good school. I don’t want them to think we are a piece of junk school.
Because I am a visual-learner, videos will continue to be a part of my development plan both instructional and personal filming. The Described and Media Captioned Website has a number of videos for interpreters of which I already utilize as well the OIC Movies website and other websites.
Audiences capture empathy through self-projection on the personalized stories such as clustered photos of presenter’s niece, creating the anecdote of people’s lives, such as memories of pride, hardship, and achievements (1:06:15-1:06:40) [1]. Moreover, emotional depiction through the usage of “moment” in photos brought about stories that touch audiences’ subtleties. For example, “By pressing the search button, photos are organized by the people, places, and things that matter most in my life” (1:05:20-1:05:35) [1]. Another key strategy the presenter used in the presentation is Self-Interest [3]. Same example as previously mentioned about making collages and movies that collects important moments of Anil’s life, he further stated at the end: “the choice is mine” (1:08:06-1:08:10) [1]. This is a solid demonstration of what Made to Stick implied as “MIIFM (What’s In It For Me)” [3]. It’s “Your” choice, and it’s “Your” time
Music videos began to rise in the 1980 's and ever since then have had a long lasting effect on both the music and television industries. One of music videos most groundbreaking successes was that of MTV, which had a monolithic appearance in the cable TV industry and in American culture. However, MTV as a channel is now that of a dying one. The music video industry continues to thrive due to the developments, expansions, and improvements in technology over the years. In this Post-Network Era, different methods of distribution, for example, YouTube, has allowed there to be a much growth in regards to music videos. Music videos are no longer made by just big television network corporations. They are also made by regular people that can get their
The Influence of Movie Genre on Audience Reaction to Product Placement: The use of brand placements is quite evident in movies today. The success of some brands reporting a phenomenal sales increase may be partly dependent on the type of movie in which the brand is placed. Employing 200 university students, this paper examined the effects of movie genre on brand placement. Students completed a questionnaire after watching and evaluating one 30-minute movie clip categorized by genre—comedy, drama, and science fiction. The study compared the effects of genre on brand recall, brand liking, and consumer's reactions toward brand placement. Central to the practice of using brand placement in movies is the belief that the humor found in a comedy movie would help create a favorable response toward brand placement. It did not. The comedy genre did not outrank the other genres on brand recall/recognition, brand liking, and attitude toward brand placement. However, this research did confirm the findings of previous research that prominent brand placements promote a significantly higher level of brand awareness than subtle brand placements.

... thought that maybe we won’t be friends or even know each other in the future. Unexpectedly, we all had these feelings of fondness for a place we a come to despise and couldn’t wait to leave. Why would that happen to us? We all realized that in this moment we’re growing up but are far from “grown up.” Suddenly, there is a flash of light and in that moment I knew that the three of us would be separated for the rest of the day, maybe our lives. The flash brought everything back. It gave us a reason to go back into the hallway and meaninglessly chat with our friends. After we left that room we were still sharing a moment together but in a different sort of way. The picture was there and we had superficial thoughts but the graduation was so much more. It marked a major time in our lives and sent us off into the future. No longer were we the next generation because we were being sent off into the grown up world. Would we all still be appreciated? How is the world going to receive three naive girls who don’t know anything? All these questions were to be asked and to be forgotten because we got caught up in the moment. The picture marks that time in our past and an important time it was.
