These styles enable me to learn to the best of my ability. Getting my hands on things and visualizing things is what helps me to learn. A plan that would ensure success is if I continue to engage in experiments and if I do not understand something I will make sure to ask, either tell them to let me get my hands on it or describe using a picture so I can visualize it. The kinesthetic and visual learning styles work best for me because I am a person who likes to solve things by doing, not watching or listening. Some people love to construct and build things on their own, well that’s exactly the way I like doing things. I like to move around, visualize and build, not sit in one one place and listen to a person talk for seventy-five minutes. I have learned that moving around allows my brain to function best, it takes me away from laziness and causes me to engage in what I am doing. From what I have learned and yet to learn, I will make sure to walk and get my hands on things to make sure I am learning to the best of my ability, I will also visualize the concepts and lessons the teacher teaches me everyday. I understand how to get myself to excel on tests, and how I learn best.
I took full AP to challenge myself towards the hard and tricky parts of the course, it will help my growth throughout high school. I make sure to do hard questions for extra practice so that I understand the concepts and the lessons of the subject better and I am able to get the marks I want. I revise all my notes at the end of each day to make sure I am keeping up with daily lessons, I encourage that everyone do their homework and a little extra so that in return you don’t have difficulty when it comes to writing tests. I learn best by taking notes and walking around while studying, I take short breaks when I am studying to make sure that I don’t cram it all together, cramming is something that should be avoided. Strategies or ways in which I can improve this type of learning is by studying important information by placing important facts on Q cards and reading the information on it while moving around. Studying without distraction from phones, and other technology items will also ensure success. Reading a variety of types of texts will also enable me to improve my marks for English and I will make sure to move around while studying or reading; during a time of
stress. In conclusion, I learn best by moving, doing, visualizing, that is why I am considered to be a kinesthetic and visual learner. By using the strategies I have laid out for myself and the plan I have made should encourage continued success in my learning.
Throughout high school, the English courses were very time consuming and over whelming resulting in me disliking the subject even more. The assignments and readings that were usually given took up the majority of my time; this resulted in work from my other courses being left unfinished. My last two years of school consisted of research papers and in class compositions. But nothing compared to the tedious work that I encountered my junior and senior year when I decided to challenge myself by taking AP English courses. I find it easier expressing myself through words and understanding other individual 's thoughts and actions through speech and writing. By studying a piece of text I am able to retrieve a lot of relevant information from it, I find this an easy way to learn because I reflect back by making notes so I am able to look back on notes for situations such as assignments and revision for exams. This is why I find reading techniques such as skim and scan reading difficult because I need to read a piece of text, highlight the important information and make notes to ensure that I have gained a good understanding. I could possibly improve an approach for my reading by looking at step by step guides to skim and scan reading online. This could help for large amounts of reading which I have to read quickly in seminars and lectures and to draw only the important information

It is beneficial to know that I am a visual learner due to the fact I have to visually see things for myself to understand and learn it. Growing up I have always been a visual learner. I found this inventory to be correct because of they way that I am , and how I take things in. When trying an auditory learning method, one big problem I struggle with is being able to pay attention long enough. By obtaining the confirmation on my preferred learning method, I can broaden my learning method by practicing the other learning methods outside of visual learning. I believe that I can open my learning styles by tring the other methods. A big component of my learning style is hands-on experience; learning while doing. This usually involved someone with more experience instructing me as I performed the task. Through the hands-on approach, I picked-up the knowledge and gained proficiency as I went along. My learning style also involved standard classroom instruction, which usually meant listening to lectures and taking notes. My note taking was not the best so in order to make up for what I lacked in note taking, I would read the textbooks repeatedly until I understood what I was reading. Within these common learning methods, there are three distinct types of learning styles (Brown, 1997): auditory, visual and kinesthetic. Each style of learning describes how the learner connects with information. Auditory learners commit information to memory and understanding by hearing it and then speaking it. Visual learners process and learn information through visual aids, such as charts and other objects to help them remember and understand new information. Visual learners tend to be better at memorizing and recalling facts. Kinesthetic learners need to use their hands to learn, and prefer to demonstrate methods and concepts rather than simply communicating the information verbally. As currently structured, the anatomy labs at Chatham University do not appeal to each type of learning style proportionately. Instead, the labs are tailored most strongly to visual and auditory learners while kinesthetic learners are neglected. This is not surprising, and college courses in general tend to ignore this third learning style. For example, the lecture portion of classes are well suited for auditory learners and visual learners because they can listen to the lecture and see Power Points but they don’t attract kinesthetic learners. But labs are supposed to reinforce what is being taught in the lecture portion by presenting the information in a hands-on, interactive manner, making their current structure rather ironic. To change this at Chatham, I plan to develop hands-on, interactive labs that will appeal to all three learning styles. Lifestyle nowadays becomes more creative than before. The result of that is producing generations with different types of intelligence. However, these generations do not get the suitable ways to be taught in school. The way of teaching in school is suitable for one or two types of intelligence only, the reader and the writer who are considered as linguistic intelligence. The people who have the linguistic intelligence benefit the most from school. There is one type of people who have specific type pf intelligence that make them learn by action, doing things or making them touch and see. They have what is called “Kinesthetic intelligence”. In Wu-tsu Fa-yen’s story “The Art of Burglary”, a father who is a burglar, was trying to teach his son how to become a burglar. The father took his son to steal a house, but once they got in he locked his son in a chest in the house and run away. The father wanted his son to face the problem on his own to be professional burglar. The people who have kinesthetic intelligence need some requirements such as good teachers and suitable environment to be qualified for facing the life struggles on their own to make them professional fast learners.
Learning styles is one of the ways schools have changed over the past couple of years in regards to diversity. The varieties of learning styles of students have become more aware to educators. There are three main learning styles; visual learning, kinesthetic learning, and auditory learning. Visual learners take up about half of student learners using textbooks, charts, course outlines, and graphs are useful instructional aides (Sadker, p. 47). Kinesthetic learning is also known as tactile learning. These students learn by hands on learning. Planning for student to have movement in class will help these learners. Our last learning style is the less of the three called auditory learning. These students learn best by hearing; they can remember the details of conversations and lectures and many have strong language skills (Sadker, p. 47). By providing a time for these students to recite the lesson themselves can support this form of learning. To be an effective teacher for all the learning style diversities means being able to be flexible and incorporate a variety of teaching techniques.
Teaching in the read/write learning style is improves the learning experience for others especially for this specific learning style. The read/write learning style is a very common and useful form of learning that is taught in an educational platform because of the nature of the learning style. Therefore, knowing how to tailor one’s lectures to meet the needs of the students with the read/write learning style is a refreshing and revitalizing method in providing the information to those who are in a position to learn and encourages the information taught to remain intact and new in their brain. Furthermore, being aware of one’s learning style allows the individual to receive the information to be understood competently. Awareness of your individual learning style can provide it’s advantages along with its disadvantages. The advantages of this awareness are that the individual knows how to receive the information in a way that is best suited for their abilities. This can allow the individual to be more in sync with what methods and tools are necessary to enhance the learning experience. Then, the disadvantage of being aware of the one’s learning style exists when the individual is consumed with the mentality that the only way to adequately learn new material is through their specific learning
In this essay I will be describing various types of learning styles and stating the advantages and disadvantages of these learning styles. I will also inform you of the most commonly used method of finding out your own learning style, and I will inform you of the man who made this method. Just like individual preferences for clothing or food, Kindergarten and early elementary school students exhibit distinct learning styles. As grade levels and academic expectations increase, many of these learning traits prove to be delightful and appealing; other areas—not so much! Within the same family, one child may seem to be a good fit for parental teaching style, while another seems—let's put it as delicately as possible—difficult. However, in many cases the cause of this difficulty can be attributed, at least in part, to an incompatibility between the parent's style of learning and teaching as opposed to the easiest method for the child.

In conclusion, auditory learners prefer to learn things visually; they prefer to listen to instructions. Kinesthetic learners rather touch and feel what they are doing. A teacher should evaluate her classroom to see what kind of learners she has in her classroom to be more a more effective teacher. Since in educational psychology there are many branches of psychology that are used to determine learning within the classroom.
Good reading skills are very important in learning languages. Reading improves spelling because as students learn to sound out letters and words, spelling comes easier. It helps to expand the vocabulary, since the best way to acquire a large vocabulary is to read. Students learn new words as they read and put them in their mind for later use. . They also unconsciously absorb the information about things like how to structure the sentences, how words are used in different contexts, and it gives a better understanding of the word usage and definitions than the cold facts of a dictionary. It improves a person’s vocabulary and knowledge without the person even knowing it. Even if students do not understand every word, they will hear new sounds, words and phrases which they can then try out, copying what they have heard. They can comprehend ideas, follow arguments and detect implications. Reading texts also provide good models for English writing. Krashen (2004) found that reading is extremely important in learning English, since it is the only way to “become a good reader, develop a good writing style, an adequate vocabulary, advanced grammar” and the only way to “become a good speller”.
