Jessie J – Powerful Voice Success is not just handed to anyone, it takes hard work and time to get it. Jessie J is a 27 year old singer-songwriter, who is not like ordinary entertainers. Jessie J is heroic because she is inspiring, powerful, generous and also brave. Jessie J is inspiring because she is not like most entertainers in today’s society. She is “far from the wild life full of drugs and alcohol, due to an irregular heartbeat, and a minor stroke at age 18” (aceshowbiz). Due to her health conditions, Jessie was constantly bullied at school. Even though she was bullied and had these health conditions, Jessie was always happy because she had “an amazing family to go home to everyday” (Cornish). Jessie J is heroic because she can inspire kids to look on the positive side. Additionally, Jessie J is powerful because her music and lyrics have tons of hard work and dedication put into them. She has been a part of charities with “causes such as poverty, human rights, homelessness, education, disaster relief, creative arts and children” (Looktothestars). She did something so brave and generous, and that was shaving her head for Comic Relief. “I wanted to do something that wasn’t just for today and wasn’t just for five minutes, it’s going to last a few months.
