My artist is rapper Nicki Minaj. Nicki Minaj influences this generation. Before her rise
began, there were hardly any female rappers well known. She is a quite recent rapper but it did
not take her long to become well-known and one of the top female rappers of all time. According
to the New York Times, “She’s a sparkling rapper with a gift for comic accents and unexpected
turns of phrase. She’s a walking exaggeration, outsize in sound, personality and look. And she’s
a rapid evolver, discarding old modes as easily as adopting new ones.” This explains her talent
and impact on society. What is most amazing is how far her reach extends beyond hip-hop and
rap Her new songs have shown that she has no intention of being labeled and put in a certain
genre of music. Nicki Minaj leaves a mark on you that many female rappers on this generation
just cannot do, between her talent and her strong lyrics she will always have you wanting more.
In her songs, she is often changing between hip-hop and pop that no other rapper is capable of, or
would even dare to do.

I believe that Nicki Minaj has many more bright and successful years ahead of her as
long as she continues to do what she’s doing and continues to be herself. Nicki always has bright
new ideas and songs that keep her on top. Her outlook on life and her attitude just keep her loved
and supported by her fans. Her talent takes her to many places because she always has a creative
new idea up her sleeve and tries doing things in different ways not commonly done by many
artists because they lack the confidence and skill to do so. Her way of keeping the belief to
never be afraid to be who you are is truly inspiring and because she practices what she preaches
she will forever be loved and inspirational by many keeping her popularity and fame for another
generation to come.

...as won throughout her singing and acting career are countless. Even Dolly’s physical appearance and voice have made such a statement in the entertainment world. There have even been many other entertainers that have tried to follow her footsteps of fashion and image but no one can pull it off like Dolly can.
