college, and began her journey as a singer. God had decided to enter Underwood’s life when she first sang in the church, where she had the opportunity serve God in the Christian community.
After the start of her fame in 2005, she has continued to influence and inspire people of her Christian faith through music, for instance, “Jesus, take the wheel” was one of her best singles. Her songs often evoked some of the deepest feelings that we might had for our won Christian faith. “Jesus, take the wheel” suggested that one will never be able to receive help from God if he/she is just asking for help without taking actions him/herself. Not only did the song served as a good reminder to the world, but it is also a mean that God uses to remind Carrie herself. On the other hand, Underwood was married to Ottawa Senator’s center Mike Fisher, another follower of Christ. They helped each other to be better off as a person, supporting each other in every aspect in life. In an interview, Fisher revealed that they would pray together since they first started dating, they would also share their faith together and help each other through hard times in life. Growing up in a similar background, Underwood and Fisher place their entire trust in each other as they often resonate with each other. God brought them together in order for them to palliate each other through ups
and downs in life. In addition, they both adopted faith on the same page where they can understand struggles and obstacles that they have on their way to God. One major critics of her faith as a Christian is on a controversial topic that she expressed her opinion on. She supported same sex marriage, which is clearly against the teachings of the church. However, she made arguments based off of bible verses and her own faith and viewpoint. Believing that everyone has that everyone should posses his/her own freedom to make their own decisions in life, abolished conservative Christian viewpoints and promote new ideas with the support of the Bible. Her publicized thoughts created a lot of controversies within society but in the same breath affirmed her braveness to express her own thoughts and the confidence that she has in her own faith.

The song “Jesus take the wheel” by Carrie Underwood teaches us, we can’t do it by ourselves; sometimes we need a little help from God. I believe this is true because we can’t always control what happens to us. Carrie expresses this theme well in her lyrics when she says “Jesus take the wheel, take it from my hands”. She is asking God to help her, she is on the road in a situation where she can’t control and she needs his help. Carrie then goes to say “and then for the first time in a long time she bowed her head to pray, she said i’m sorry for the way I’ve been living my life. I know I’ve got to change”. Carrie here in this statement saying she is sorry for the way she has been living and she is asking him to help her change and for his forgiveness,
