I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Fredericton, New Brunswick. I have an older, twenty-year-old brother named Oliver who has now been living away from home for 5 years in order to pursue his hockey career. Given these circumstances, we still remain very close and continue to communicate every day. With my mother being French and my father English, they wished that I would grow up bilingual. That being said, they chose to enroll me in the local French school, École Sainte-Anne, which I attended from preschool all the way through to grade twelve. Growing up, I always had a house full of dogs. I currently have two Brittany Spaniels named Abbe and Molly, and also a Yorkshire Terrier named Sophie. My parents divorced when I was only 6 years old, and I believe that their separation had an immense impact on why my brother and I’s bond is so strong. My father remarried Louise, an elementary school teacher in New-Maryland. Louise has two daughters: Erin, who is twenty-one years old, and Sarah, who is fifteen years old. At first, I was not a fan of the idea because I felt as though she was attempting to replace my mother, and I was afraid of losing my father to the new members of my family. I eventually came to terms with their relationship. In fact, it benefitted me in the grand scheme of things by making me an extremely independent young-woman. During my years spent in the school system, I was very much in love with sports. More specifically, volleyball. I began playing when I was seven years old and continued on competitively until the end of my twelfth grade year. Taking part in countless club, school, and provincial teams, this sport occupied a large share of my life. Another one of my passions was leadership, I dedica... ... middle of paper ... ...nt on until grade twelve where I was elected vice-president. Something I was particularly proud of was being selected as the president of Best Buddies last year. This was an incredible experience and I made numerous lifelong friendships. Goals If you take the time to get to know me, you will learn that I am ambitious. My short-term goals would be to do well in my first year of university. “Doing well” in my opinion consists of obtaining an A to A+ average, this will give me a good base for the upcoming academic years. Moreover, I would like to become more confident when speaking in front of a large group. Lastly, in the long-run my goal is to obtain a Masters in Business which will hopefully allow me to acquire a well-paying job. With this job I hope to be financially stable to start a family. Most importantly, I would love to live a long, healthy, and happy life.
My short term goals academically is to pass all my classes this first semester, and my short term goal professionally is to just continue with my current job of working at target. I work at target 5 days a week and about 35 hours a week. My long term goals academically are to major in criminal justice, and my long term goal professionally is to become a DEA agent.
I have been a four year letter-winner in volleyball and basketball. Athletics have been a crucial part of developing my character and work ethic. In sports, you must work together with your team to reach your goals. Trust and communication skills are vital and are tested every day. The failure and setbacks I have faced through sports have helped me to believe in myself and have the self-confidence that it takes to be successful in athletics and in life. As a senior captain of the volleyball and basketball teams, my leadership has improved tremendously as high school has progressed. Being a leader holds me accountable and I aim to be a role model for younger teammates on the court, in the classroom, and in the community.
As most children did, I had the choice to play whatever sport I wanted. Considering my height, 5’10, most would assume that I played either basketball or volleyball. No one expected me to play tennis, and was surprised when I said that I did. During my elementary years, I played softball for seven years, and when I hit eighth grade, I decided to play tennis. My decision came about because of my sister. I had always followed closely in her footsteps because I looked up to her a lot, so when I saw she was playing; I wanted to try it out too. I had never really thought about what it would be like to play tennis. I didn’t hate it, or really know what it would be like to play it. And little did I know that playing would demand so much time, energy, and effort.
Volleyball represents my most meaningful commitment not just because I have invested so much into it, but also because it it’s a passion of mine and has been a part of my life since elementary school. The impact my coaches and teammates have had on my life has helped make me the confident and determined individual I am today. Volleyball also takes up a lot of time and there are many sacrifices that come with the sport and playing on a team. To keep up my skills, I have had to give up a lot of my free time and parts of my summer. Balancing school with practices was also a challenge, but participating in one of my passions made it worthwhile. I have persevered through difficult times and learned new lessons along the way, so there is nothing that could make this sport less meaningful to me. (148)
My short-term goals will be completed throughout High School. I am taking a lot of Mathematical classes in High School, this year I am taking Statistics and Business Math. Next year I will either take Calculus or Precalculus. I like taking math courses because there is a lot of math in anyone's life time. Also my career choices require a lot of math, most classes they like to see I have already taken. I plan to get high grades in all of my classes so Colleges will take me seriously. One of my favorite classes is Statistics and I have a decent grade in it too. My activities at school include being in the Woodshop Club. It is very enjoyable for me and I hope to do more in woodworking as I grow older as a hobby. Activities outside of school include mainly Boy Scouts and work. I plan to get my Eagle Scout rank and I might go on to get Eagle Palms. I work as a Concrete laborer and I also do some finishing, it is a very
Each game, my passion grew. Each team, new memories and lifelong friends were made. Sports sometimes make me feel disappointment and at loss; but it taught me to be resilient to a lot of things, like how to thrive under pressure and come out on top. Being the team captain of my high school’s football and lacrosse team showed me how having a big responsibility to bring a group together to work as one is compared to many situations in life. Currently playing varsity football, varsity lacrosse, and track I take great pride in the activities I do. Staying on top of my academics, being duel enrolled at Indian River State College, working three nights a week, and two different sport practices after school each day shaped my character to having a hard work
My short and long-term goals are mainly focused towards bettering myself and enhancing my education to be able to better care for people. I believe there is always room for improvement in everything that we do and one should always keep that in
I aspire to become a leader in my family and community inspiring those around me to maximize life to its fullest potential. To use my God given gifts and talents to apply the principles necessary, to make a significant difference in the lives of others. To live a balanced life challenging myself intellectually as well as allowing time for my mind to rest and do things I enjoy. To look at life through a child’s eyes, not being distressed about the past or worrying about the future. All the while dancing like nobody’s watching.
College is the main goal of my life. It is a life dream to go to college to get a degree and get a successful job. Everything that I have done until this point is to get to college. During my senior year I plan to apply to many colleges and to take the SAT's to get into college. My GPA and SAT scores will be crucial for me to get into college. With college I will further my business career, making more successful in the field I enjoy doing.
First off, I want to graduate from college and do it well. I want to be able to do things on the weekends and not worry about having to make things up or anything like that. I am hoping for a scholarship in football, in my opinion that would be a great start for me in college. Then after college maybe pursue that as a career. If that doesn't work out for me then I want to look into athletic training or physical therapy. If those things don't interest me or I don't get into it I am then looking into law. That will take much more time and patience, but it's gonna be the rest of my life.
My goal is the final destination of my financial success. It is to be able to pay bills without worry, be free of debt, have enough money for my kids to go to colleges and help other people with my financial resources.
My long-term personal goal is to be at a place where I am genuinely happy with myself and my life and not allowing others and their opinions on me or what I have done or am doing in life to

Secondly, I would want to maintain a good relationship with those who surround me(,) by doing so my future would benefit because I would have support and advice from the people who love me the most. My next goal is to help my community by helping stray animals that have no where to go(.) to be able to reach this i would need to funraise as well as be financially available(.) i would need help from other people who have the same dream i do. FInally(,) the fifth goal is to be active i would like to have my own gymnastics/ dance company(.) i loved doing this when I was younger and i would invite children from public schools to have this after school
Throughout my early childhood, I went through several different phases. I practiced an abundance of different activities such as: dance, baseball, tumbling, gymnastics, and even baton. However, none of these sports or hobbies stuck. That is, until I discovered volleyball. Never have I felt the love for something as much as I did this sport. Volleyball has had an unimaginable impact on my life in so many ways. I would not be the person I am today if not for this sport.
