If you have problems with patience, these questions could describe you:
Are you constantly tapping your fingers and cursing the time?
Does it seem like nothing happens fast enough?
Does a single red light drive you nuts?

Patience is a virtue that is not appreciated enough today.

Many years ago, a popular movie, "Top Gun" coined the phrase "I feel the need, the need." need for speed and speed." Many drivers today would agree with that phrase. Speeding is one of the most common ways that people break the law. When people break the law there are unpleasant consequences.
The whole cosmos today is centered around the here and now. We thirst for everything to be done hastily so we can continue with our day. As a repercussion of that we tend to strategize our days in advance with activities to occupy

People in todays society do not want to waste any time they want things done and done as fast as possible. In Fahrenheit 451 they also have much larger speed limits so people can get where they are going faster. Clarisse and Montag make it obvious how fast pace their society is when they first meet and they talk about how fast the people drive. Clarrise on page (9) said “they do not know what grass is, or flowers because they never see them slowly”. Our speed limits are not as fast as theirs but it always seems like people in our society are always driving fast and rushing to get places much like the society in Bradbury’s

In today’s society we often have an all too-casual attitude toward misfortune; Jackson shows us this aspect of human nature through the town’s casual attitude toward the lottery. The men talk of "rain, tractors and taxes" and the women gossip—all the time knowing they are about to kill someone or be perhaps even be killed themselves (Jackson 863). The thing that is most important to them is to hurry up and finish so they can eat lunch. Perhaps the feeling of being in a hurry makes what they’re about to do easier; they don’t have time to let it bother them. How often in today’s society do we hear the phrase, "just hurry up and get it over with"?

In today's fast paced world often times we don’t realize how we go through life at full speed never slowing down to just stop and take a breath. Always trying to get to the next appointment, teachers meeting, and get togethers with friends and family; time is fleeting. For the people out there that have no problem with organizing their life I applaud you. Being able to manage everything without missing a beat is something I wish I was accomplished at. This shown through companies such as Walmart and eBay, who are trying to outdo their competitors by offering incentives such as a same day delivery for an additional fee. This constant desire is also shown through one of the most common things that we do in our lives, which is trying to connect to the internet. Studies have shown that after a certain amount of time (10-15 seconds), the number of people that wait for a webpage to load goes down exponentially. One thing to realize, however, is that the idea of instant gratification is not new, but people's ideas if instant results has become faster and faster, which leads to our impatience. Other studies have concluded that society has become focussed on quick way to have fun, instead of things like reading books, which definitely takes a somewhat large amount of time.
It’s fairly easy for me to go charging into something without thinking about my actions or the consequences. I have found that it is much more difficult to stop, consider the options and find all of the facts. Patience’s is not an easy thing to put into practice, it is something that takes time.
