Junior High and high school have multitudinous differences compared to each other. Some of those differences are: more work in classes, better lunches, and instructions in school. However, the differences can help you succeed in high school.
Having more work in high school is a substantial difference compared to Junior High. I do hate the amount of imperative work that I’m faced with now, but I am however able to finish it. Some of the work that I do is something not even related to the subject we are learning about which is deplorable. Since there are more classes in High school than Junior High, that means you would undergo through more school/homework in your classes. However, you can also be successful by doing this amount of work. The more work you do, the better you get in your learning skills and being reputable for the strenuous work you do. The amount of work you do also affects what you learn and do in school, which is important to be successful. Overall, you would be successful in high school by doing the extra work you get.

Personally, I think the lunches here at Ridgeview are better than the lunches at Junior High. There is more variety here at Ridgeview than at the other Junior Highs. You could eat hot lunches in the cafeteria or buy a snack at the snack bar if you want to. In the cafeteria, you have many options of what meal you want to eat and at Junior Highs, you only have 1 limited choice of what meal you want to eat. You could also bring a cold lunch from home if you don’t like the lunches here at Ridgeview. Having a good lunch is important because your body needs food to continue on working. You need healthy foods so you can keep on learning at school and doing your work. If you don’t eat a healthy and good lunch, your body will slowly function making it tedious to learn. Schools are meant to give our children a healthy and nurturing environment, and yet so much of the lunches in schools are fattening; does this stop schools from achieving the aforementioned goal? Childhood obesity in the United Sates continues to be a growing problem despite so any new programs to help combat it, and new research is showing how schools may be playing a large role in childhood obesity. School lunches are showing to be the problem, they encourage poor nutrition in our nation’s students, and simple reform is proving to not be enough to stop the rise in obesity rates.
Teenagers already have to deal with being at high school for 6+ hours but also have to do homework (which can be can also be 6+ hours with AP classes). Teenagers also often have to deal with sports, jobs, clubs, and then there’s familial issues they have to deal with. Community service work should not interfere with sleep or school work. There are things every year that puts pressure on students. Freshman year being the first year of high school so they’re just learning how it works. I don't think our school lunch is healthy because it has fat and too much sodium. Although it is good it is fattening it is the reason for much of the obesity in the U.S. Many kids have no other option to eat the unhealthy school lunches or they will be hungry.

We all remember that day when President Obama took office, and our school lunches changed forever. First Lady Michelle Obama, felt that too many American kids are overweight, so she thought she needed to make our school lunches healthier, with more fruits and vegetables. One of the major changes she made was how many calories the school cooks were able to give the kids. The new requirements are as follows: up to 650 for children in kindergarten through fifth grade, 700 for sixth through eighth graders and 850 for high scholars. These numbers are consistent with the Mayo Clinic’s recommendations ( Kuczynski-Brown). The main goal of cutting calories and taking away junk food, was to insure that kids are getting served a healthy lunch. At each lunch, schools must still provide a cup of fruit, a cup of vegetables, two servings of grains, two ounces of dairy, and a cup of fluid milk, so that students can get their needed vitamins and nutrients (Anonymous) . They are also wanting more local farmers to be involved, and give more of the food they grow to the school. In other words, the food is not delicious and there are not many choices. Also, when children don’t get proper nutrition, they have trouble focusing on school. Most students do not buy lunch because they feel it is unappealing and do not like the food served. Many students go to other kids and ask for food. In addition, many students do not eat breakfast, so they rely on lunch to fuel them for the day.
According to the Journal of Law and Health schools that have not banned junk food have had an increase in students more excited to learn because of the sugar count unhealthy foods. Looking at the evidence regarding school lunches from the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture), students need equal grain and protein proportions to have a healthy daily diet, and over the course of 5 years schools that don't have a healthy lunch program have had their students overall GPA almost completely equivalent to the schools that have had the healthy lunch program. Although having tremendously unhealthy school lunches may not harm your GPA it can immensely harm your health. Lots of average students health are in danger just because of unhealthy school lunches, it is very necessary that schools realize that a healthy lunch program is always a beneficial option. 1. It's nothing like high school. I know, you're glad to get out of the same classroom all day, and that part is great, but don't think junior high is like senior high. Parent should explain to their children that choosing a healthier, more nutritious lunch will give them enough energy to have a productive school day and after school activities. Parents can look over the school menu with their kids and can explain which foods are the best and why. Parents can also pack healthy lunches for their children, at least occasionally. Kids should be encouraged to choose meals that include fruits, vegetables, lean meats, and whole grains, accompanied by either milk, juice, or water. Something as simple as cutting food up will make children actually want to it. Cubing food such as chicken, cheese, veggies, and fruits can give them an appealing look and can make kids actually enjoy their food. Some other things to keep in mind when packing school lunch are replacing some of the unhealthy foods. Instead of high fat lunch meats, lower fat deli meats are better and white bread replaced with wheat should be considered. I personally think that people have a different mid-set when they are in high school than when the are in college. Students who attend to college have different priorities than the students who attend to high school. In addition, having different priorities makes students experience differences between college and high school. For example, students attending to high school have more leisure time because they have a regular schedule every week, so their weekly planning is considerably easier. On the other hand, college students are busy most of the time because they have to study throughly. Most high school subjects don’t require extra time doing labs or extra work; therefore, most high school students do not struggle because of the complexity of subjects. Mathematics is a perfect example to illustrate the different complexity of such subject given between high school and college.
