In high school you usually do not have a choice about going. High school level classes are typically easy and not that hard to get by in. These classes do not require a lot of studying and are mandatory. I am an advanced student so it was easier for me to pass the class by just listening in class and scoring high on test scores. I have often wondered what it would be like to experience the freedom of choosing my own class schedule. This has to be infinitely more stimulating and enjoyable. I am also aware that college will be significantly more challenging, but I have always found it easier to study for a class that interests me. I am willing to accept the fact that as long as I am in school, there will be required courses which may not engender excitement or enthusiasm; however, success should not be as difficult to achieve due to the maturity that is developing during this last year of high school. In addition, I have gained an understanding of the benefit of being well rounded. There is value in all classes taken. It helps to know that even my least favorite subject will contribute to the ultimate goal of personal and career development.

During my early education, meaning elementary school and middle school, I was a very average student. I gave an average amount of effort to my grades, and I received above average results. This did not bother me, until the end of my 8th-grade year. At this point in the year, I was filling out what classes I desired to take the following year, my freshman year. I realized that from this point forward, I had to take my education much more serious, in order to get accepted to whichever college I desired. therefore, when planning my classes, I decided to challenge myself more than I ever have in the past, and take multiple honors courses. In college if you don 't put studying and homework as a number one priority than you will struggle. Another thing about homework is that in high school your teachers wouldn 't mind taking late assignments, but in college if you don 't turn in your work on time points will get deducted or it won 't even be accepted. Nevertheless, I believe it to be necessary because my classes are so much tougher than in high school. High schools are by far more built for students,scheduled and disciplined. The students are often times are forced to go so they are very opposed to school. The schedule is the same each day and the student is expected to have excellent attendance and faces disciplinary action if attendance protocol is not met. College is a very different story, the approach of colleges towards structure and attendance is much more relaxed. You can not go to class and it will be up to you on what you start to lack on. If you fall behind in a class because you have poor attendance they consider it unfortunate and expect the student to find a way to catch up on work. The teachers will not force you to join the class as a matter of fact they don’t care at all. One of the reasons for my dislike of high school is that I, like almost all other students, was required to take classes that were of no interest to me, whatsoever. Sure, there were classes that I partially enjoyed but that enjoyment quickly evaporated after a short while. At the time, I really wished I had the opportunity to “pick and choose” classes that I wanted to take. I thought it would all change when I started college. In ways it has. I am now able to choose classes I am most interested in, but I am also required to take elective and other classes that are unrelated to my major. Though, now, I am not so against it. I have actually enjoyed taking unrelated classes. This is because I have learned that there are, in fact, multiple benefits of taking classes outside of a major. Required classes are beneficial because they allow a student to discover unknown interests, gain a wider area of knowledge and expertise, as well as it gives that student the ability to use an area of knowledge from one area to aid in another.
A very important part of life is education. In order to acquire a satisfying education, one should complete high school prior to college.
