1. What I learned from the video is that the factors which influence health are multiple and interactive. Essentially health promotion for the entire public is concerned with action (i.e. making the polio vaccine readily available for all persons) and advocacy(pushing for change with in government for more effect health care legislation, as well as implementing health care policy ) all these are necessary to address the full range of potentially modifiable determinants of health. The future of health and health care comes down to the direct result of the actions of individuals| (such changes to health behaviours and lifestyles), and access to appropriate health services, and the physical environments in which the live. Depending on the situation these resources may have a classroom instructional focus or a counselling focus (in school or in the community). Such a comprehensive plan to health promotion and prevention would be more effective if it is linked to other comprehensive programs with the community .Cross program interaction when dealing with prevention is important to the success of the prevention program I would implement with the school as positive outcome are more likely. Since the students come from such differing backgrounds outside school extracurricular activities aimed at reducing risk factors outside of the key would be necessary as well. It is ultimately staff and students who will bring positive change to the school community; by ensuring that the inter/intra school programs are being utilized. Challenging, creating and strengthening polices for prevention education with the school is key to success. Getting outside participation form the school board, regional health programs, parents and the local community is necessary as effective prevention plans depend on various shared
