Group work is not a good way to get work done in school. Schoolchildren need to learn information by themselves and be more responsible. Some students are bullied and have no friends so that makes the work harder to get done. Other students just let the more educated student in the group do all of the work for them so they can get a better grade. These are only some of the reasons why group work is a bad idea. In group work there are many distractions and some students can’t concentrate in those conditions. Most distractions are caused from other students socializing instead of doing their work. No group work means students can focus better, there will be less stress on teachers, and improvement in grades. Working unaccompanied helps students better rivet on the lesson of the day. Other times if the student does not have friends in that specific group, they will exclude themselves completely rather than to be working with others. Also, some students tend to be misanthropical and entirely don’t like working with the great unwashed. Commonly, there is perpetually at least one student who is otiose and does nothing to contribute. So, that is mostly related to copying of work and generally not knowing how to do the given by the teacher. Most undergrads don’t help out in group work because they don’t know what to do in the main. Considering that, group work is time consuming and takes longer to complete than just doing the work solely. Sometimes there can be an overpowering leader who takes over the whole assembly because they have trouble communicating with others about what they have to do. A result of that is many arguments throughout the process of getting the job finished. This way takes even longer to complete any kind of group work and is not a valuable way to get things
