This is so boring! We have been driving forever! I have no idea where we are going or where we are heading. My parents say that we are going to see Christmas lights. Is there a reason why we can’t go looking closer to our house? Why are we stopping at the grocery store? I follow because it might wake me up a little if I start walking a bit. I ask my dad why we are going to the store and he says because my mom is on the phone to work. What? Why do we have to stop? Can’t she do it in the car because she is not driving. Mmmmm, what is going on? As we enter the store we try to find the candy isle. Instantly I forget all about leaving the car and get excited. I would marry candy if I could. Um, what should I get? We pass the dog isle and my sister
playfully punches my dad while saying “Why can’t we get a dog.” All he does is stay quiet. Usually he makes a joke. Then we pick out the candy and then my mom texts my dad that work just needed someone to work tonight, but she had to turn them down because she was busy. My mom meets us in the parking lot and then she spots a puppy. It looks super young. We go pet the dog and the owners pull out a piece of paper. They say “Yea, this is a Christmas present from their grandparents. Their name is Grandma and Grandpa, Susan and Roger.” “What!!! That’s our grandparent’s name so that must be our puppy!” I say. Later, we found out it is a Golden Doodle. Half poodle and have golden retriever. In the end, everything we did was worth it including the long car ride. Have you ever had something you thought you hated, but found out it was for the better good? Like when I went on a roller coaster I didn’t want to go on. That’s a whole different story though.

R When they get nervous, I get nervous, and driving with them is a nerve-racking chore.

As I proceed taking my dirtied and battered converse I am welcomed by a few strange questions from my dad, “Have you heard from our family friend John recently, either by phone or Facebook?” I replied “No Dad, why are you asking me this?” he answered “All his family and friends are saying he’s not picking up and they are really worried about him, can you quickly Google search a story about a car being set on flames?” All kind of thing...
Mom says, "Your dad doesn't get paid for doing the dishes so why should you?” I think
or she have to get the car and drive to the store, now the store comes
When we first walked in I felt a split breeze and the smell of candy and roses rushed around the store. I was so overwhelmed by all of the colors and bling in the store that I almost fainted. I was ready to leave until I saw a light shining from the corner of my eye. I turned around and saw the limited edition rainbow rhinestone sunglasses or so I thought. I couldn’t believe what I was looking at.

By taking advantage of promotions, shopping second-hand, and comparing prices, you can prevent yourself from making the mistake of blindly overpaying.
Persuasion is a part of our everyday life. Whether we are persuading our mother, using persuasion through speech, or through advertisements, we are using rhetoric strategies to get the response we desire. With the help of minor details in many advertisements, Ethos, Logos, and Pathos are a way of persuading the audience to buy or think a certain way. A Colgate toothbrush commercial used Logos, Pathos and Ethos to spread the word that they have the best toothbrush of all, in which they target everyone who has teeth. Through the use of advertisements, Colgate has convinced the world that they have the best toothbrushes, they’re even recommended by dentists.

I’m walking home from school debating on whether I should eat a sandwich or eat last night’s left-overs, or both, when suddenly an old lady comes up to me, hands me a ticket and says “do what you wish with this ticket” before I could even begin to ask any questions just as fast as she appeared she disappears and is nowhere near sight. I look at this ticket feeling a handful of emotions beginning with confusion and anxiousness. The ticket reads “A glimpse into your future.” I then turn the ticket around and it reads “Directions: 1. Walk into an empty closet 2.
