Notes for David about Children’s Ministry
• Strengths and Weaknesses: o The bulk of children’s ministry work goes to its many devoted volunteers. This team, along with Children’s Ministry’s structured curriculum, are strengths of the program. o Caleb recognizes some consistent weaknesses of the Children’s Ministry’s system. Programming sometimes becomes inconsistent between services and in upper elementary classes. Children’s Ministry also needs to find more efficient uses for its available space while filling their volunteer
In my paper I will talk about my visit to The Community Church at Murphy's Landing (CCML). I have chosen this particular Church because it is a family church type and my neighbor goes there and she encouraged me to go with her. I went there with my neighbor on April 6, 2014.This church is an appropriate for this assignment because the people there are welcoming me with an open heart and they are willing to help and provide me with information. When I visit the Church’s site I read these words “We know visiting a new church can be intimidating. But, we want to help you to be as comfortable as possible when and if you join us”. The people gather in the church weekly to glorify God in joyful worship. The expressions of worship on CCML take many forms a prayer, a hymn of reverent awe, a guitar ringing with a chorus of praise, or a warm handshake and a welcoming smile. Their weekly services begin at 9:30 each Sunday at church. Also, they have weekly podcast if anyone wants to listen online. They have many types of services for parents, kids and students. People at CCML were so friendly; they gather around me and start welcoming me, one by one. People there introducing themselves to me, one after another and provide me with their contact information and help. Then we start talking about the church services and Christianity in particular. The mission of CCML was knowing, growing and loving. They seek to live out our mission by worshipping together as a local community of believers, growing in spiritual maturity through discipleship, education, and small groups, caring for one another within the context of the larger church body and small groups, and Communicating the love of Christ to our world, both through local outreach and global mis...

Ever since she was a child, Christine Enockson had a passion for education. Living in a small Wisconsin town, it was rare for there to be a child with special needs. Once Christine, or Chris as many people call her, discovered how school was different for these children, she passionately pursued a career to help those children. This passion led her to decide to be a foster parent. Throughout her life, Chris has made a difference in the lives of many children, including her own. Even though Chris has faced many hardships in her life, she continues to stay positive because of her faith. Chris’s help with special needs children and foster care have helped her faith cultivate and she is currently inspiring others to serve God and others in the
It is just that I believe Fields and DeVries borrow from the sagely Dr. Burns, which is in a way the greatest compliment you can give to another writer, teacher, or mentor. So a lot of the information I had already read. Mr. Burn’s book is filled with many ways a church can enable a youth m...

Before beginning my volunteer work I faced quite a dilema. Where could I influence children, help them develop their leadership potential, educate them about agriculture, and have fun-all at the same time?
This organization needs to change its way of thinking and think on a larger scale. The values of the organization are strong dedication to servicing youth and families in need.

In the Dominican Republic, there is a great need for education, and financial support for poor families. Providing the people with a good education, and teaching a trade to the head of the household could help to solve these needs drastically. Not only this, but the service project could be used to be a good witness for Christ to these people. A service project to the Dominican Republic could not only solve the lack of education, and help impoverished families for a short time, it could provide a long-term solution, and benefit this nation greatly.
....” This scripture is consistent with the growing youth movement. Young people are receiving salvation, witnessing and praising God with a passion that has not been seen in the recent past. All of this seems to point to the Second Coming of the Lord, which makes the work of the ministry all the more urgent. Take a look at your own church. Does it have a passion for young people or has it written them of to being a condemned generation? Jesus said in John 3:17 “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” Review your every day world and see if there is a young person that you could influence and share the news that Jesus loves them. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 9:37 “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
... children’s ministry; and she organizes the nursery and sunday school programs. Without the assistance of multiple people, Pastor Barber would not be able to keep Pine Grove Baptist Church running; delegation of leadership is extremely important.
Most child dream of being superheroes. But Christine Enockson wanted to be a real world superhero, a teacher. Living in a small Wisconsin town, it was rare for there to be a child with special needs. This passion led her to decide to be a foster parent. Throughout her life, Chris has made a difference in the lives of many children, including her own. After covering the entirety of Lee Vukich and Steve Vandegriff’s book, Timeless Youth Ministry, I arrived to the conclusion that there are timeless principles within the student culture today and that youth workers can successfully minister these students by recognizing these principles. Vukich and Vandegriff provided a window to the life of adolescents. Anyone who reads this book is likely to become familiar with the student culture and what may occur in the future concerning the student ministry. Furthermore, he or she may understand how churches have approached students and how a youth worker should conduct him or herself. In 22 chapters, Vukich and Vandegriff presented an insightful picture of adolescents and their culture,
