Ever experienced a video game with stunning in-game graphics that some games give only in their major event cut scenes? Ever played a game with an excellent mixture of strategy and fast-paced motion? Well if that game is Final Fantasy 13, a single player game developed by Square Enix, you have played a game that Gaming Age calls “one of the most gorgeous games to grace a video game console”. Playing this game was one of the greatest moments of my life. This game has actually influenced me to go full force in wanting to make video games for a living. Final Fantasy 13, in my opinion, has accentuated the great gaming potential of the Xbox 360® and Playstation® 3 consoles.
The storyline of this epic tale stands out and blows the storylines of its Final Fantasy predecessors. The story starts out with a conflict between the two different co-existing species. Then, the story curves into the genocide conflict of one species, and ends with issues of religion and morality. I remember having to go to what the game calls the datalog to get familiar with how the story was progressing because there were so many twists and turns that made it so hard to catch on to like soap operas and the movie Vantage Point. The story’s dialect is for the most part modern with a handful of made up words. Despite its engaging story, I did notice that after playing the game for awhile it tends to repeat the same information. Getting to know the characters as was fun to experience: I was able to pick out the ones I liked and the ones I thought were a little obnoxious. This game took me on a character rollercoaster of their life before the major events took place and what their thinking was after the events.
As a hardcore Final Fantasy fan one of the things I...

...oughs. I had a lot of fun playing this game. It’s like an interactive book: a book-like plot mixed with engaging game play and fantastical events that give a sense of wonder. I forgot to add that the game also incorporates Japanese pop music into the full motion video scenes. This game may not be perfect but it is amazing to see that the flaws of this game, I think are very little and easy to overlook. It goes without saying that for me, thirteen is no unlucky number for this new installment of the legendary series.

The story itself was quite interesting. The characters are believable and some had obvious arcs, the plot seems well paced, and most plot points are memorable. The dialogue didn’t seem forced, and flowed fairly realistically. The conflict, Devine Corporations vs the Beanfield (well, really, it’s owner but…), ended well, with Devine not being able to do anything about it, not for a lack of trying.
Fans of the novel found that the way the novel is written, you never want to put it down and the action keeps things moving and is quite entertaining. The novel pulls you in and makes you love each of the main characters in it. This is a great series for anyone to read, and it is audience friendly for whoever reads them. There is quite a bit of suspense that will make the novel exceed readers 's expectations, and the twists and turns keeps you guessing and lets nothing be predictable. Some like the way this group of people bands together when they really need to and keep things together so they can all stop the
There are several things that I like about this book. First off, I love historical fiction, and this is the genre of this book. Also, despite the author being too descriptive, the book went at a steady pace. For me, pace usually determines whether I will read the book or not, and I never really hesitated, or thought about changing books.
I would recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys historical fiction books where the characters learn life-altering lessons. I also feel that people of all ages would enjoy this book because it’s messages and theme was very positive. While I did enjoy this book, I think I will not be reading another historical fiction novel for my upcoming book response.
This was quite an interesting story. There were three sections to the story which broke the story in three different times in one day. The characters were all very nonchalant except for the priest who showed some emotion when he found out that old Teofilo died. The story kept our interest, however, it did not lead a very clear trail to the end, and there was no real climax where we felt there was a good peak. The story needs to be read more than once to really be appreciated.
There is no one specific plot to this novel, though many conflicts do arise. What makes it so good is the interaction between characters and the unique language style.
This book will appeal to anyone who loves a lot of adventure and a lot of suspense. The author continuously adds suspense throughout the book. One example of this would be when Thomas says, “Thomas had to trust Newt. He had to do this for his friend, but curiosity burned inside him like a brushfire. He knew, though, that he had no time to waste. They had to get everyone out of the WICKED complex. He could talk to Newt more in the Berg—if they could get to the hangar and convince Jorge to help them.” This shows suspense because the reader is trying to figure out what Newt is not telling Thomas. This also builds suspense in the reader because they are trying to figure out why they have leave in such a hurry. The author also tries to convey a lot of adventure throughout book. One time when Thomas and the others experienced danger would be when, “He shifted again, looked back over his shoulder. Minho and Newt were each straddling a guard, beating the living klunk out of them. Jorge stood in between the Gladers, shooting his fiery Launcher in all directions.”. This shows a lot of adventure because its so exciting and so much is going on. It also shows a lot of adventure because Thomas and the others are all going through such a hazardous situation which is sure to bring the reader to the edge of their seat. Without a doubt, this story is one that will be loved by
Overall this game fails in comparison to the games that came before it. The only good property of the game is the visuals in the fictional world and even though they are amazing, it isn’t enough to save the game. The complete slaughter of the story, characters, and combat system creates a game that is practically impossible to play. If you are new to the Final Fantasy franchise and have not played any of the other games then this game may be fine. If you are someone who has played the previous games then you will be greatly dissatisfied with this game. In the end developers should spend more time on gameplay then visuals because I would rather play a good game with bad artwork than a bad game with amazing visuals.
For three decades, the Nintendo Company has been on the front line of the video game industry. With competitors continuing to develop new video game systems and more exciting games to play with those systems. The Nintendo Company has come up with their own ways to keep video game enthusiasts interests in mind. Even though the video gaming at home did not start with Nintendo, The Nintendo Company did start a video gaming revolution with the release of the Nintendo Entertainment System or NES in 1985. How did the first ad of the NES package have the effectiveness that appeals to video gaming enthusiasts to launch the revolution, as we know it today?
... that time. The combination of drama, action and romance, along with very involving storyline is aided by an incredible soundtrack. The more one hears this music, the more one is moved by it. Almost all human sentiments are represented in the story: joy, sorrow, despair, pride, jealousy, hope, revenge, anger, forgiveness, compassion, redemption, love, hate, friendship, humor, etc. Above all, the stadium where the chariot races are held and the sea battle are unbelievable. The film makes sense with a message of revenge and forgetting the past. With dramatic musical score, breathtaking sets and costumes, huge masses of people, a vigorous sea battle between Roman fleet and Macedonian pirates, a memorable and spectacular chariots race, this inspiring film is an unforgettable solid motion picture. I would definitely recommend this to everyone, giving this a 5 out of 5.
In Lev Manovich’s What is Digital Cinema, he states that “traditional film technology is universally being replaced by digital technology.” (Manovich, 178) This is indeed true. Digital technology is changing video games as well. Both films and video games depend on each other. Film studios and video game developers remediate each other’s product to maximize profits. Filmmakers, cinematographers, directors, actors and composers often work on video games. The two industries use the same technology. Both medias tell interrelated stories in both narrative worlds, which Jenkins calls it, transmedia storytelling. Transmedia storytelling is an approach that reconfigures the entire media experience. Video games that are based on films allow the players to interact with the characters that are seen in the film by manipulating the console’s controller.
Video games started as arcade machines with simple graphics and even simpler stories, soon evolving into home gaming with The Magnavox Odyssey, the world’s first home-gaming console. It invaded living rooms in 1972, selling 300,000 units. Since then there has been many consoles and games released, some have been huge commercial successes which
Video games have come a long way. They have evolved from the simple game of Pong into a complex, multi-platform, multi-genre, multi-billion dollar industry.
In conclusion, despite the many disparities and liberties taken by the film’s writers, producers and directors – it was a very enjoyable movie and was entertaining to watch. It also served to introduce and unlock potential interest of Greek mythology to numerous young viewers who have not been exposed to such a dramatic and lavish fairy tale style of ancient characters that once captivated the imagination of numerous audiences. Numerous elements in the film have been taken directly from Greek mythology, yet there were composed in a different manner to create a story of their own. Despite this, most of the characters were indeed real, yet combined like chess pieces to form a new story as seen through the eyes of all the individuals that created the film.
According to goodreads.com, Legend “was absolutely incredible...and...the world was... incredibly vivid”. Some may think the characters and their actions are unrelatable, but the emotions are conveyed perfectly, the scenes are action-packed, and the plot is unpredictable. Every aspect of the plot is unique, but not to the point where the story cannot be related to. It is a beautifully written book that everyone should give a chance.
