According to goodreads.com, Legend “was absolutely incredible...and...the world was... incredibly vivid”. Some may think the characters and their actions are unrelatable, but the emotions are conveyed perfectly, the scenes are action-packed, and the plot is unpredictable. Every aspect of the plot is unique, but not to the point where the story cannot be related to. It is a beautifully written book that everyone should give a chance. The book Legend is almost impossible to put down once you start reading it. The storyline sucks you in, and action is frequent. Many of the chapters end in a cliffhanger, leaving the reader hungry for more. The society the story takes place in is well developed and evocative. Throughout the story, the narration
switches between Day and June and offers a fresh perspective on each situation. The insight this provides contributes to the appeal of the book. You get to know the main characters’ thoughts and feelings constantly, and the changes in their beliefs as they develop. The characters and their emotions intertwine perfectly with the plot. The author conveys the emotions of the characters in the book Legend so well, that you can put yourself in each character’s place. On page 275, Day’s brother tells him “I would rather die than see them hurt you.” This shows how deeply the siblings care for each other. The lengths the characters go to help one another are astonishing, and you can feel the deep bonds they share, even if they quarrel sometimes. The people who dislike this book might think that the behavior of the characters is unrealistic, but even after Day was taken away from his family, he still found ways to provide for them, which is not unlike anything someone in our world in a situation like that would do. The number of feelings in this book help make Legend unlike anything I’ve ever read. The plot is full of surprises, the emotions are incredibly relatable, and each chapter is full of suspense and activity. The world the story takes place in is amazingly detailed, and the plot is creative and immersive. The book is masterfully written, and every character is well developed. Anyone who enjoys an amazing book should most definitely read Legend.
I found this book to be a rather interesting read. I enjoyed how Levathes researched this book and wrote it to try to explain about this specific period of time and how it is very non-fiction.
I found the book to be easy, exciting reading because the story line was very realistic and easily relatable. This book flowed for me to a point when, at times, it was difficult to put down. Several scenes pleasantly caught me off guard and some were extremely hilarious, namely, the visit to Martha Oldcrow. I found myself really fond of the char...
...was outstanding. She gives great insight to the horrors and the suffering and allows the reader to be placed into the same place with a large understanding of the emotions that took place. The only thing to complain about is the prolonging amount of detail on the dates and statistics. It’s hard to follow and difficult for one to pay attention and that’s where it became mundane. I can definitely confirm that it was worth the purchase and the time spent into the read. I could honestly say that I’ve already recommended it to others, and I will continue to do so. The people I’d recommend it to though is people interested in the subject and overly eager to learn about new things as opposed to my buddies.
My overall opinion of this book is good I really liked it and recommend it to anyone. It is a good book to read and it keep you interested throughout the whole book.
This is my personal reflection about this book. First and foremost, I would like to say that this book is very thick and long to read. There are about nineteen chapters and 278 pages altogether. As a slow reader, it is a quite hard for me to finish reading it within time. It took me weeks to finish reading it as a whole. Furthermore, it is written in English version. My English is just in average so sometimes I need to refer to dictionary for certain words. Sometimes I use google translate and ask my friends to explain the meaning of certain terms.
...related to every generation with its life lessons. The novel can also be understood and therefore enjoyed by people of any age. The novel will stand the test of time and will become a classic.
have chosen it for my report. Finally, I will give my reactions to the novel
My favourite part about it’s about the part of greek mythology that isn’t well known. The book was very interesting but some may find it a hard read due to all the little details that become big details in the later books. If you enjoy this book I would highly recommend reading the rest of the series, Days of Blood and Starlight and Dreams of Gods and Monsters. Some books you might like from other authors include Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi, Awake at Dawn by C.C. Hunter, and Shadowshaper by Daniel
The book and the movie were both very good. The book took time to explain things like setting, people’s emotions, people’s traits, and important background information. There was no time for these explanations the movie. The book, however, had parts in the beginning where some readers could become flustered.
Highly recommended for anyone wanting to visit the world of the wild west in the early fifties that is about to be lost to the new world of machinery and urban lifestyles. Also recommended for those who enjoy quality writing that engages you sense of relatability to characters that seem as tangible as the book itself.
I personally would not recommend this book. I did like some parts but I disliked it more than I liked it and unless someone is very passionate about this subject I wouldn’t tell them to read it because they would probably find it boring or it would be hard for them to understand certain parts like it was for me.
This was a great book, but took me a lot longer to finish then most, simply because of how upsetting some of the things talked about are. If you’re look for a book that will make you think, and bring tears to you’re eyes, and teach you a thing or two a highly recommend this book, and might actually read it again myself. Hopeful my eyes can stay dry this time.
This is an odd little book, but a very important one nonetheless. The story it tells is something like an extended parablethe style is plain, the characters are nearly stick figures, the story itself is contrived. And yet ... and yet, the story is powerful, distressing, even heartbreaking because the historical trend it describes is powerful, distressing, even heartbreaking.
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and believe it to be one of the best books I have ever read. It was extremely well written and challenging for me to understand at times. It conveys that dark side of human ambition very well, and it has given me much to think about.
You should read the book Found, because it is mysterious, characters are lovable, also it is unpredictable. While reading this book, I was excited to sit down also read. Most books do not please me, I am a picky reader.
