Final Evaluation
Overall I think our showcase went great and all of our hard work paid off. They food tasted great and the flavours were elaborate and added a lot to the dishes. The flavour that stood out in the main was the ginger as it tied the meal together. When the apples where fried the apple flavour was really brought out in the dish. Our group worked really well on the day, and will all compromised and listened to each others ideas. I worked collaboratively with my group and completed all my assigned jobs. I also did a lot of the washing and cleaning up. In the trial showcase our communication was not very clear. On the final showcase I was surprised as our communication improved immensely. which worked out really well.
My favourite experience during the restaurant showcase was using the deep fryer to fry the apples. Although we hadn’t used a deep fryer before we used it with safety precautions and with care. I an enjoyed this as I had never used one before, and I was learning a new skill. My least favourite experience of this unit was disagreeing with my group/friends as we had different ideas and always arguing. The only thing that did not go to plan was the cooking of the rice. The first batch out group cooked did not turn out well, it was sticky, wet and undercooked. But

Our bench was also not as clean as it could have been when we were cooking. When we served our meals the presentation looked extremely appetizing, and great quality. If we had more time could have taken more time to shape the rice in the bowls so it came out neater. We also could have cut the cucumbers better. But we all agreed the presentation of the desert was flawless. We served the desert on a black plate, but the desert was covered in white powdered sugar. The contrast of the colours in this dish brought the presentation to a whole new
One quality that is involved in a restaurant is the atmosphere and the positive energy it gives off. Considering the Western theme, they have the restaurant well decorated from the entrance, to the place where you sit. The walls are painted with tumbleweeds on them, with great lighting that allows you to see, and not go blind. The plates and silverware are very nice, as is the food that goes into them.
She had always loved food and enjoyed learning how to make it. In fact, when she was little, she would watch her mom bake these delicious pastries and want to do the same. Fast forward to the end of senior year, she arrived at The Culinary Institute of

In truth, and overall, I cannot say that I am very satisfied with my improvements to my ASL this semester. I think I had high expectations coming into the semester, and they were difficult in being realized. One biggest area that needs improvement is the fluency in my signing, especially concerning English mouthing. I am obviously not at all satisfied in this area. This area is one of a great mystery to me, because I have not had that much issues with English mouthing in ASL I. For example, in VJ#3 for ASL I, I did not mouth many words. I guess picking up this habit this semester or maybe not addressing the formation of this habit and being able to ignore it was due to the increase in difficulty and complexity of what was required in ASL II. Additionally, it could be because the videos for this class were done with a partner while the video journals for ASL were done by myself. I think that having an additional person, having to coordinate what we are siging, as well as having much longer notes and requirements made me have to think a lot to produce my sings. They were not the simple, “I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters” kinds of sentences. I tend to mouth more when I have to think about what I have to say. This issue is most evident in my first video journal for ASL II, where I literally mouth every word. Although it got a bit better for the second one, the habit and issue still persists as evidenced my the feedback I received from the professor. I think what hindered my improvement was actually lack of practice. Not just lack of practice, but specifically lack of practice signing with other students about topics that were not precisely covered in class. I needed more practice on spontaneity; my mastery of the...
Time sure does fly; in the blink of an eye, yet another 7.5-week class has come and gone. Just like life, it is scary to think that in just a few short years I will be graduating college and be in search of a future career. The magnitudes of readings, assignments, PowerPoint lectures, and videos have all contributed to the valuable knowledge I have gained since taking this course. Nothing that was presented or required was seen as invaluable towards my progression of career development. This career development course has allowed me to do some self-exploration, career research, and help me understand what influencing factors were related to the job market. Ultimately, this class helped me gauge and find a suitable career path, which will forever shape my future.
Our Session Long Project (SLP) for Module 1 transforms the evaluation essay into a job evaluation. The type of job evaluation used in this SLP identifies the responsibilities of the job and bases the individual’s performance on these responsibilities. What does this mean to the employee; it means that if they understand the responsibilities of their job they are better able to perform it to the satisfaction of the evaluator. However employees who are not informed of their responsibilities can invalidate your evaluation process very quickly and wreck havoc in any organization.
Sequence: I use sequence first in all areas of my life such as school, work and also personal relationships. I need step by step direction before I can start any tasks and delivers what is expected of me. I am well-ordered, very detailed oriented and I like to know what is going to happen next. I need time to complete my work so I set a schedule for everything since I thrive on a well-organized life.
As this semester has begun, and I have begun to adjust to this course’s requirements, expectations, and goals I have found myself taking more risks and challenging my prior writing style. I’ve been a little apprehensive with my writing style this semester and feel that at times I may be missing the entire ideas of the topic. Although I do the work and get a good grade, I always feel uncertain before posting a blog or turning in my final assignment. Although the entire courses topic is nothing foreign to me it has become a challenge for me to write about.
Concluding this fall semester in Ballet II, I believe that I have gained huge improvements. As stated in my midterm self-evaluation, I wanted to spend my time in ballet to focus on areas of performance quality. I set four goals for myself to work on as well that included: stronger lower abdominal core, the use of my port te bras, releasing tension in my hands, and increasing the articulation of my feet. In addition to these certain goals, my hip injury has been a main focus throughout this entire semester.
The purpose of this assignment is to evaluate how well our group is working together. The Fantastic 6 has been put through many class assignments as well as a big project outside of class in order to improve both communication within the group and the group’s performance as a result of working together. Our group has had some obstacles getting in the way of achieving our group goals. We have fixed some of these problems easily, but others are still causing problems for the group.
Never, ever, in my life has something tasted so good. We shared a meal that no restaurant could ever top. My father and I became even tighter. From that day on, regular meals tasted like plastic and hot dogs and no better than that. Dangerous dishes became our gourmet good eats.
This class has been significantly more difficult than any other English class I have taken all throughout high school. This semester, I have been introduced to different styles of writing that I have never been exposed to before. This class has been stressful, but also fun. With using all of the resources I have been given throughout the semester, I have been able to do my best to further my writing abilities and hopefully only continue to grow them as I finish my later years in college. Throughout this essay, I will discuss my failures, my successes, my overall performance in the class, and my skill development skills.
In order to evaluate my role within the group, it is important to identify what makes a group. A group must firstly consist of more than three members, “Two members have personal relationships; with three or more there is a change in quality” of the personal relationship. (Bion 1961, p26) The group must have a common purpose or a goal in order to succeed. Having now completed my group work task, I can look back and reflect upon the process that my group went through to get to the presentation end point.
The hosts come to our table and escort us to the buffet. The buffet is set up in a different room adjacent to the dining room. A long table is covered with a white table cloth. Large white plates start off the buffet line followed by multiple silver chafers. I pick up my plate and make my way down the line. Apple roasted pork shoulder with pan jus fills the first chafer, with beef tenderloin in the next. As I continue, I scoop garlic whipped potatoes onto my plate along with bacon maple balsamic Brussel sprouts. Continuing with the exceptional staff, bus boys line the room making sure the chafers never run low on their content. I head back to the dining room anxious to begin devouring my
This turned out to be the positive group experience for me and other group members. The team was sufficiently strong from the very beginning through the development phase to the end without any incident of conflict and disagreement. Every group member is reliable and understands their roles working in a group. They also understand the significance of progressing collectively towards the shared and common goal. In other words, our group reflected the synergy by the association we held with each other as a team and, thus, reflecting an example of being a successful
