In my opinion, kendamas at school aren't really a good thing. They're unsafe, some people aren't responsible with them, and it's just a craze. Kendamas should be banned from school. One reason kendamas should be banned from school is because they can cause injury. When playing with a kendamas, someone could get hurt. One of the parts could hit someone, the handle or stick part could hit/poke someone in the eye, or when a kendamas is worn around the neck, the string could actually end up choking someone. It would be safer for students if kendamas were banned. Another reason kendamas should be banned is because some people are irresponsible with their kendamas. For example, many students bring their kendamas to class. It caused distractions when the students started playing with them during class. I know several people that had their kendamas before class because if they had it with them during class, they would play with them instead of paying attention. That's why they had been banned from classrooms on campus. Another example is that some owners gamble their kendamas in a game called Ken-for-Ken; A game where you compete with kendamas tricks. The loser has to give their kendama to they winner. They have to give up their kendama that they/a relative had payed $20 or more for. There were lots of famous trends that grew old very quickly. They were very popular, but soon everyone else moved on to a different famous object. Old things like Gangnam Style, Rainbow Loom, What Does the Fox Say, etc. have been things that have had their 15 minutes of fame. The kendama used to be famous a long time ago, then it became famous again. But if kendamas grew old back then, it's likely that soon they won't stay famous for long. It is likely that they will last 1-2 years at most. Someday, students would not be famous
