Being an employer is an exciting job yet equally stressful. It's beautiful to allow people the opportunity to earn gainful employment. It can be stressful when employees don't do their job or cause conflict. One of the annoying parts of the employee process involves the employee time cards. If there's not a solid system in place, keeping track of employees can be a disaster. Here are a few facts to consider regarding employee time cards.

1. Unreliable
Employee time cards aren't the most reliable source for keeping track of employees. For example, take a look at the most well-meaning employee in the company. More than likely, there will be a day or two where they forget to sign in or sign out with their time card. An employer doesn't have time to check what time said employee clocked in a week and a half ago. It's highly likely that the employee won't even remember. In this case, you miss out on a reliable account of what time the employee came in and left for that particular day. To the naked eye, it might seem like it's not a big deal. Disorganized
Many employee time cards involve writing the time down with a pen before a person begins their work and when they leave. In today's day and age, it's a wildly disorganized and dated process. Even if a small office decides to keep track of employee time this way, it's still pretty disorganized. Handling a bunch of time cards at one time and then going through the troubling of filing it creates more unnecessary clutter.
