Service delivery in cloud computing comprises three different service models. • Software-as-a-service (Saas):- Saas is the model in which an application is hosted as a service to customers who access it via the internet. E.g. Google docs, salesforce.com, CRM, ERP, email, social networking. It provides significant efficiencies in cost and delivery in exchange for minimal customization and represents a shift of operational risks from the consumer to the provider. User of Saas offering usually has neither knowledge nor control about the underlying infrastructure. • Platform-as-a-service(Paas):- This kind of cloud computing provides development environment as a service. The consumer can use the middleman’s equipment to develop his own program and deliver it to the users through internet and servers. It provides a well organized and graceful approach to operate scale-out applications in a predictable and cost effective manner. OpenStack is an open-sourced company independent private cloud platform built with segregated resource pools that can interconnect. For example, a virtual machine can be created using OpenStack Nova, which will connect into the block storage component to store data. The same server can be connected into a vLAN(virtual network) to have other servers throughout various locations connect to one network without costly networking hardware. Configuration is relatively easy as there is need to count, track or monitor which servers have the software installed. Managing the VMs created in OpenStack Nova is also easy as it is possible to use the CLI from the browser through a VNC proxy. In fact, all of the resources and modules can be managed from the browser.

Virtualization technologies provide isolation of operating systems from hardware. This separation enables hardware resource sharing. With virtualization, a system pretends to be two or more of the same system [23]. Most modern operating systems contain a simplified system of virtualization. Each running process is able to act as if it is the only thing running. The CPUs and memory are virtualized. If a process tries to consume all of the CPU, a modern operating system will pre-empt it and allow others their fair share. Similarly, a running process typically has its own virtual address space that the operating system maps to physical memory to give the process the illusion that it is the only user of RAM.
