Character is the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual. This means that your character is unique and you have your own character and it is different from everyone else's. The quote "Character is what you are in the dark" by Dwight Lynam Moody means that only you know who you really are and that your true self comes out when no one is looking or when your alone and no one is around.


Also, your character is who you are as a person and you can either be a good person or a bad person. You can be a good person by doing good deeds, helping the elderly, or helping your neighbors. As people see you do good things they will start to think that you are a good person and that you are a good kid. But this also goes for doing bad things such as stealing, vandalizing, and being disrespectful to your elders and/or your peers. moody was born on February 5, 1837 In Northfield Massachusetts where he was born to a very large family. Dwight was a very talented person and is very smart. At the age of 17 he had moved to Boston to find work because he was rejected from work at his hometown. Dwight was also not accepted at church until may and according to this site I state "He was not received as a church member until May 4, 1856. As his teacher, Edward Kimball, stated: "I can truly say, and in saying it I magnify the infinite grace of God as bestowed upon him, that I have seen few persons whose minds were spiritually darker than was his when he came into my Sunday School class; and I think that the committee of the Mount Vernon Church seldom met an applicant for membership more unlikely ever to become a Christian of clear and decided views of Gospel truth, still less to fill any extended sphere of public usefulness."
