United States dog owners spend billions on dog food. There are people who make food for their dogs from scratch but they are the minority. In the modern world most families do not have the time to do this so dog food production is a major industry.
Cheap dog food normally contains a higher percentage of by-products and fillers with less meat. There is disapproval among certain groups of these ingredients. Expensive brands use higher quality components such as lamb. The ingredients should be showed in descending order by amount of product used.
