Question arises about whether or not communication with animals is dialogic or monologic. Majority of society would probably think animals cannot communicate with us, generating the assumption that the connection is dialogic. However, that theory is incorrect for several different reasons. Dogs, for example, communicate with their owners with every movement and noise they make. Moping, sniffing, and watching are all examples of how dogs communicate with us non-verbally. They also communicate with us verbally by barking and crying. Animals obviously do not speak the same language as us so they use their body language to send us messages. If dogs did not have the ability to communicate with us, we would not be able to care for them as pets. The
Do non-human primates have communication, language, both, or neither? By definition, communication is the imparting or interchange of thoughts, opinions, or information (Snowdon). Communication is very closely related to social behavior since they are both referring to the ways animals interact with each other (Quiatt and Reynolds 1993). Conversely, language is defined as a system of communication using sounds or gestures that are put together in meaningful ways according to a set of rules (Haviland et al. 2010). Non-human primates and human primates are similar in many ways, and communication is no exception.
One of the most controversial topics that every linguist is faced with is whether or not animal language should be considered a language or not. There are many different facts that can either prove or disprove the claim that animal language is not truly a language. Before one can begin to discuss whether or not animal language is a language or not, there needs to be an understanding of what animal language is. Animal language is basically the animal’s ability to communicate with one another. Where the controversy of this topic comes to play is that no one can make a clear definite decision on whether or not animal language should be considered a language.
Communication is used throughout every primate and animal and it includes any behaviors, scents, and autonomic responses. Communication is used to indicate submission, reassurance, or amicable intentions. Vocalizations are used as a form of communication to inform others of predator or food presence. Social living would not be possible without communication.
Language is commonly held to be the province of humans, but other inhabitants of earth possess their own forms of communication. Birds, dolphins, and whales are some of those that have a language. Primates also use vocal communication with each other. Their utterances have varied uses and volumes, with each primate’s voice being distinct just as human voices are. These unique calls have given researchers insight into the social workings of primate groups. The very fact that primates have a language offers insight into the evolution of language and calls into question what the term human truly means.
Many students think their general education classes are going to be easy. This assumption is usually made because they are the basis of all of the advanced classes. When students sign up for classes for their degree, English 101 is often a requirement. Therefore, students put it on their schedule without a second thought. Most students do not realize how hard such a basic class could be. Mrs. Fox’s English 101 class is hard because it is time consuming, requires a lot of responsibility, and contains a difficult grading system.
Social behavior in mammals other than humans has always been something that has fascinated not only scientists, but the general population as well. Large mammals known to exhibit similar behaviors to humans have always been popular favorites at zoos and aquariums. Curiosity and fascination strikes when observing primates making gestures as if communicating in a foreign language, or seals dancing and striking their flippers together. Mammals are capable of displaying a wide range of interesting behaviors and among those that fascinate us is the way they communicate. What are they trying to say; anything at all? To convey a message is the idea of communication. “Communication involves the provision of information (via a signal) by a sender to a receiver, and subsequent use of this information by the receiver in deciding how or whether to respond" (Bradbury, Vehrencamp 15). This can be done by various means, by the use of body language, noise, or smell. Nearly all mammals use these tactics to communicate; with one another, and with humans doing so both verbally and silently. The music of the mammals, whether it is auditory, chemical, visual, or physical interactions, animals have found a way to communicate using foreign languages.

Dogs communicate with humans through facial expressions like human children. A study published in the journal of Current Biology showed, dogs have the same communicative ability of a 6 month to 2-year-old child when using interaction with our vocal communications. Researcher Jozsef Topal of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences tested this theory. The findings reveal that dogs are receptive to human communication in a manner that was previously attributed only to human infants. Research finds when people act out a command and say it out loud; dogs understand the same as a human child would (Dogs Read Human Expression 1).
This analysis will examine an interaction ritual between two colleagues using a qualitative approach. This meaningless interaction is an example of how conversations build the foundation for a social bond, producing and reproducing the epistemology around social interactions in everyday life. The interaction between two people actively produces social interactions through a process of internalisation, which is socially constructed. The social construction of the rules around interaction rituals forms the basis for common sense knowledge. In turn, a sense of social structure is created in which members perceive the world as a naturalistic entity independent of perception. For this interaction is it appropriate to use
The conversation I chose to analyze was the third conversation between two participants about a classmate they go to school with. After reading and analyzing the conversation I would have to personally find it unsuccessful. The reason is because only one participant is actually successful in communicating their point to the other person.
Many people have been asking me how I feel about my last semester of senior year in high school. Some students say that they are ready to get out of high school others not so much. I see both sides of how you would feel about it and really don't know which side Im on. At times I am ready for the year to be over others I'm not. The times that I am ready for the year to be over could be caused by a variety of things. For example you might be feeling like your ready to grow up and start your adult life, you could be having a bad day and that makes everything less enjoyable, you could have had a bad experience at the school and want to get out of there as soon as possible so you don't experience anything bad again. The effects of wanting to be

Senior year is an important time in a teen’s life. It is the year when we decide what we want to do, and who we want to be. The College or University we choose is a big part of this. I want to go to Dallas Baptist University to find ways to honor my father God, to become a beacon of Christ, and to help others.
High school has been a very interesting experience for me. It has definitely had its highs and lows and many confusing experiences in between. Overall, I feel like I have been equipped for not only college, but also life as a whole. High school has taught me many things, both academically and emotionally. It has revealed and exposed my true colors, both good and bad, and as a result, has built many aspects of my character. My experiences at Alameda High school and Alameda Community Learning Center have shaped me into the person that I am today.
Deductive reasoning is general information people have and use to reach to some type of conclusion.
