SPEED LIMITS
Speed is one of the major reasons why most accidents occur. These accidents may cause severe injuries and sometimes even lead to death. Usually speeding causes problems to you and also to the people around you. So one has to follow the road rules and drive under the speed limit to prevent any fatal accidents to reach home safe.
In the USA, several hundreds of people are handed out speeding tickets. This shows the recklessness of the people. It may also reflect that people want to drive very fast, especially on highways. Increase in the number of tickets also increases the value of the driving insurance. Thus it is costly in both the ways -1. Speed can cause loss of life or fatal damages. 2. There would be enormous increase in the accident rates. This risks the safety of the public.
2. People may drive at high speeds and be a threat to other drivers.
3. The rate at which people will be ticketed will also increase. That implies people have to spend or lose lot of money paying their speed tickets and insurance costs.
People have to start earlier at their homes to their offices or work place. Doing this won't make them rush in the traffic and be a threat to others. People have to drive atleast 5mph slower than the usual speed limit. They should always be keen and open to speed limit changes if observed and then drive accordingly. Avoiding the fast lane, freeways and rush hour can avoid accidents too. People should always put in mind how badly they want to avoid an accident. They should always remember that someone is waiting for them at home for their safe return.
Thus by perceiving all the advantages and losses that may occur due to speed limits, one should always be open and follow the road rules and drive according to the speed limits. In the end everyone should know that 'Speed thrills, but it also
