Car Accident! The world would be more beautiful if their less or few car accidents. Now a days car accidents happens daily and sometimes they leave a big scratch in the heart if it end up by a death or a serious injury. Also, many thinks they are smart enough that they wont get into a accident because of their tricks in driving but in the end they find them self in a accident. On top of that, these type of people use their cellphone, eat, don't wear seat belts, or drunk while they are driving. But these people don't realize that doing those minor thing can cause them severe pains or even deaths. There are millions of peoples are getting killed and injured every year because of car accident. I think if everyone use the traffic rules, all
What would one want to be their last word on earth? LOL? Drivers who text and drive very well may be allow their last words to be just that. Arizona has no law regarding texting while driving, with no law in place the act is not regulated. The result is an increase in accidents causing multiple fatalities every year. Statistics have proved that texting and driving is extremely dangerous and has led to many accidents that have ended in fatality. There are states in our nation where texting bans are in place and the accident rate has dramatically decreased.
According to the Journal of Applied Behavioral Analysis, "automobile crashes are the leading cause of death for those aged 3 to 33, with 43,005 (118 per day) Americans killed in 2002 alone" (Clayton, Helms, Simpson, 2006). Worldwide, vehicle accidents consist of 1.2 millions deaths per year, "behind only childhood infections and AIDS as cause of death amount people aged 5 to 30 years old" (Clayton., 2006). The annual cost of road accidents is estimated about $518 billion"(Factor, Yair, Mahalel, 2013). The fact alone of being in a moving, heavy vehicle is a danger in itself but individuals that do not wear their seat belts, talk on the phone, text, and do other distracting behavior also put themselves in even more harmful situations.
Today’s society appears to be constantly on the go. People seem to be pulled in multiple directions at once. Individuals never appear to have enough time to complete tasks that continually accumulate. It can be difficult to criticize someone that tries to make the most out every minute. Unfortunately, some of today’s drivers show a lack of judgment and trying to perform other tasks, while behind the wheel. People may feel this is best use time while getting to a destination. Occasionally, the small amount of time that people are trying to gain results in a time consuming accident. With modern conveniences that are geared toward an on the go public, individuals appear to be too preoccupied to driving safely.
What has our society come to these days? Everywhere we look, violence is present, at the streets, at work, at school, and even at home. Every day in the news we see reports about shootings, wars, thefts, drugs, rapes, and deaths. The worse part of seen this in the news is that all way do it’s complain about it and sit back. We do not even attempt an explanation or a resolution. Violence is among one of the most malignant act that has been increasing day by day. And why is it that we complain about other people being violent, but when we are asked if we are violent or if we have ever responded with violence, everyone says they are not violent. But if among ourselves we are not violent then who is it that makes our society a violent society?
When I was about seven years old, someone pulled right out in front of my parents. We missed hitting them. When I was nine, we almost backed into another car coming down the road. The lady was on her cell phone, not paying any attention to the road. When I was 13, we finally did hit someone. It was my brother’s fault. My brother should have been more focused. These are all things that happen to everyone at one point in their lives. It’s inevitable. I think if people were to pay more attention to the road, crashes would happen less often. Driving can be dangerous, and people can be even more dangerous if not focusing on the task at hand.
Ever since the invention of the automobile, numerous efforts have been employed to try and improve its safety features. Judging by the current statistics, one could argue that driving has so far turned out to be a risky business. In actual fact, people of all ages and social status are considered to be in control of lethal weapons whenever they have to drive. According to the National Safety Council, it is estimated that more than 41,000 people lose their lives in road accidents annually and no less than 2 million more suffer from serious life threatening injuries (2009). Furthermore, it is estimated that at least 50% of the people killed in road accidents is as a result of their failure to adhere to safety measures such as wearing seatbelts while driving, driving under the influence, or careless driving (Ingalls, “Defensive Driving Strategies”). As an effect, huge losses occur with respect to life, injuries sustained, and damage to property.
There are many social problems that exist in the world today, which includes but do not limits to self-identity and racism. However, they somehow go unnoticed because at times people conform to what society thinks is the way to live. In my opinion, people believe they should act or feel a certain way because of what is broadcast on television, featured in magazines, and even brought into the limelight by celebrities. After viewing the movie Crash, in my opinion, the movie targets on going social problems that are constantly being swept under the rug to this present day. I deem Crash a race movie because it forces the audience to question their own moral values.
...ture a risk-taking species. In ancient times we took risks just to eat. Later we took huge risks by setting out in little wooden ships to explore the earth's surface. We continued as we sought to fly, travel faster than the speed of sound and to head off into space. We rely on increasingly more complex equipment and constantly strive to design and manufacture faster and even more elaborate devices. It goes without saying that every effort is made to ensure our "safety"; to keep us from harm or danger. Every time you slide behind the wheel of your vehicle you are taking a risk. Driving is the riskiest activity in our lives. It is an inherently "unsafe" environment. The most perfect vehicles on the best designed highways on beautiful sunny days driven by fallible human beings crash into each other. The only way to drive "safely" (as we are all admonished to do!) is to learn more about the process. Learn more about your vehicle and how to maintain it; learn how to use your eyes to look far down the road; learn to spot problems before they happen; and also learn to deal with emergency situations. In most cases it's the human element that fails. After all, safe is only as safe does.
Our world has a lot of problems that people fail to realize to see. The world have problems that need and can be solved. We don’t have to sit here and see our world like this and watch our population decrease. One problem I have realized is drug abuse. Drug abuse is being addicted to taking illegal drugs. This is something a lot of younger people such as teens or middle age people do. This is also something that brings our population down because this can kill hundreds of people. Most kids or teens do this type of activity, and they suppose to be our future, the ones that suppose to make a difference in this world, but how are they suppose to make a difference in our world if there are none living. This type of activity needs to stop and read to find out how we can end this problem.
From the beginning of time, drugs have played an important part in our daily lives, for example caffeine in our morning coffee. The implementation of drug policies in Canada occurred in the early 20th century. Opiates were at one point widely used in medicines, until becoming incorrect and considered a “Chinese problem” by the common white folk as they blamed the trafficking and smuggling of drugs on Chinese immigrants. The Opium Act of 1908 created the first drug prohibition. However, other opiates and cocaine were included a bit later in the Opium and Drug Act of 1911 and cannabis was added in 1923.
The pick-up bounced jarringly down the old dirt road. The driver sat up straight in the front seat, checking over her shoulder every few seconds to make sure that her cargo hadn't fallen out.
“The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status, or ethnic background, is that, deep down inside, we all believe that we are above-average drivers” -Dave Barry, comedian. The number of accidents over the last ten years have drastically increased, drivers are paying less attention to the road itself. Many individuals behind the wheel of a car believe that their driving does not affect the road conditions, however it always will. The driving habits of today are catastrophic due to the reasoning that the driving will affect other lives through reckless or distracted driving, and disobeying traffic laws.
The most life threating car accidents occur while drivers are texting, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or speeding. And, because of these accidents, I would later on doubt that God exists. Because car accidents to me have a negative impact on my life; my mom was in an automobile accident when she was pregnant with me and that caused me to be born a few months earlier than I was supposed to be born. And because of that I, later on, have a disability of limping and scoliosis. Because the first way for drivers to be in a crash is by texting; because when a distracted driver sends or receives a text message, they are not concentrating on the road in front of them but rather the message they receive.
Last year I got involved in a massive car accident. It was the most terrified part of life. It was the moment. I will never forget in my whole life. Before, I never realized how people really feel when a car accident happens. But,after this car accident I know what really it felt like. It was the moment. My mind was totally feared of driving. I was crushed by the hot metal and cold dirt of car. I was not feeling my arm,my body was numbed. It was felt like my lower body pressed down with monster force. All I could feel was the noise of car accident ringing in my ear.I was barely able to move my body. I was kept thinking. What my parents going to think about this? Where is my friend John? I looked through the window and saw the cars passing by
Rules are the foundation of society. If there are no rules everyone would do whatever they want and have serious consequences. For example, texting and and using your cell phone while driving is very dangerous to yourself and other people surrounding you. The reason why many people are against this action is because it causes many car accidents and deaths every year. While driving many teenagers and adu...
