Liam received the phone call a little past two this morning. He found himself a bit confused with his emotions. His father Mick called to let him know his sister was in an accident. Not just a small fender bender, either. It was a head on collision. Gathering his senses, he jumped out of bed and threw on some jeans. Kara stirred in a state of slumber. “Liam, where are you going?” she said with a yawn. “Got to go babe, Tiff’s been in an accident.” Kara knew better than to add in her comments along the lines of ‘who gives a shit’ or better yet, ‘she got what she deserved.’ No, Kara bit her tongue. “I’m coming with you,” jumping out of bed she was fast to put on some jeans and t-shirt. “On the way, I’ll call Brax.” Kara looked at him wide-eyed not quite sure that …show more content…
“What’s the news?” “Not much right now. She’s in surgery.” Liam responded. Just then an officer walked up the group of them sitting down. “I’m Officer Drew Daniels. I’ve got some questions and would like to go over what happened at the accident.” Officer Daniels had explained what happened at the scene of the accident. Tiffany’s blue sedan was traveling down the I-5 South when a car crossed the center line and hit the guard rail, spinning it around to collide with Tiffany’s car head on. It looked like Tiffany tried to stop and swerve but there was no escaping it. Kara reached out and held onto Liam’s shaking hand. He was taking it harder than expected. “What happened to the driver of the other car?” Liam said with controlled anger. “The person driving that car did not make it. He died at the scene.” “Jesus Christ.” Brax held his tongue. He may have his problems with Tiffany but he would never wish this on anyone. Didn’t matter how much he hated her for all the problems she caused with Izzy, let alone with Eve. The police offer sat and asked his questions and they talked an hour. Brax kept looking at his
Their kissing is interrupted by a phone ring, she grabs and reads caller ID. Its Doug, she thinks about not answering but instead excuses herself. Lexi is left wanting more but takes the opportunity to access what she should do when she returns. In the kitchen Natalie answers phone, she answers hello and Doug with his zippy tone says, “Hey babe, I get off at ten o’clock tonight, I thought I would come over.” Natalie shocked by this is slow to answer. She tells him it will be kind of late. She tries to convince him for tomorrow. He feels like something is wrong and asks. Natalie assures nothing is wrong. He pleads in his best childlike disappointed voice. Finally, Natalie caves and says ok. She realizes that she is going to have to
“I've got a report about you kids, especially you, girl!” The officer screeched, peeking above the top of his deep blue sunglasses. Melanie and Henry's innocent faces turned toward each other, shocked, then their eye’s went right back to the officer’s.
The Creature That Opened My Eyes Sympathy, anger, hate, and empathy, these are just a few of the emotions that came over me while getting to know and trying to understand the creature created by victor frankenstein in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. For the first time I became completely enthralled in a novel and learned to appreciate literature not only for the great stories they tell but also for the affect it could have on someones life as cliché as that might sound, if that weren’t enough it also gave me a greater appreciation and understanding of the idiom “never judge a book by its cover.” As a pimply faced, insecure, loner, and at most times self absorbed sophomore in high school I was never one to put anytime or focus when it came time
"Okay, everybody." It was obvious that the words leaving him had not been rehearsed and to James he appeared almost sickened by his own shaky voice. "You are all being sent home early. I'm afraid one of your classmates has met with a terrible accident... of some sort. Philip, has been taken to a nearby medical facility, where he has regrettably been pronounced dead, following an accident in the

The paramedics asked her has she been drinking. At that point, she stops talking to the paramedics. At approximately 9:10 am, Tulsa Police arrived on site. The two officers that arrive on site was Cpl. Collum and Gregg McGowan they asked the paramedics and me what was going on.
Larry was returning a few calls when two disheveled gentleman step into his office. He recognized one of them from yesterday's visit, so he figures the second larger gentleman was the nephew. "Let me get back to you on that." He says, hanging up the phone.
Police Officer: (Steps closer to witness.) Hello ma’am, can I ask you a few questions about what you saw going on here tonight? (Looks down at notebook and prepares to take notes on the accident.)
I wasn’t sure if I wanted them to believe it or not. I didn’t want to tie strings I couldn’t keep together when I am going back to Essex within a few weeks. Riley just flashed him her sweet smile before we went back. Now the two of us lay in bed.
It's 10:45 P.M at night but Adam and Mom are yelling at eachother, making as much noise as humanly possible. I called Cleo to see if the dogs and I could spend the night, but she didn't pick up. My last resort is Pierson, I reluctantly call him. Hoping he isn't drunk or at some party. The thing is, I've never been to the place Pierson lives.
“My picture’s on here, but it looks photoshopped. I take it that’s so we get through check in. How did that guy even have time to do this?”
He immediately introduced “Beth (who is in her 70’s), as only eye witness viewing the incident from 5 feet away. As I stated to the Police Officer on duty, my eyesight made it difficult to determine who cause the accident. But I can tell you they were driving under the speed limit, because Crash Road has many holes. What do you remember about the incident? That morning the sun was shining, the dust and fur were flying in the air, therefore the brakes were squealing.
ELODIN STRODE INTO THE lecture hall almost an hour late. His clothes were covered in grass stains, and there were dried leaves tangled in his hair. He was grinning. Today there were only six of us waiting for him.
It all began with a simple phone call one morning just as I was waking up. “Trevor” my father hollered up the stairs, “It’s for you. It’s Jenny King, and she sounds upset” As I dragged my feet down the stairs to pick up the phone, I was not happy. I was exhausted from going to bed late last night, I had a horrendous headache, and I was looking forward to a nice quiet morning at home, binge watching T.V all day and taking naps. Thirty minutes later, however, Jenny’s blue Ford Explorer swung into our driveway.
