It's 10:45 P.M at night but Adam and Mom are yelling at eachother, making as much noise as humanly possible. I called Cleo to see if the dogs and I could spend the night, but she didn't pick up. My last resort is Pierson, I reluctantly call him. Hoping he isn't drunk or at some party. The thing is, I've never been to the place Pierson lives. For all I know he could live in a card board box. He picks up after a few rings. "Hey what's up?" He asks, not sounding like I woke him up. "Mom and Adam are fighting. I feel horrible for asking, but can the dogs and I stay at your place, just for tonight?" I plead. "Sure, I can pick you up. I'm on my way now." He responds and I let out a sigh of relief after thanking him and hanging up. …show more content…
I feel around on the nightstand until I eventually find my phone. I pick it up and am blinded my the light. I accidentally drop it on my face, hitting my nose. I yelp and the dogs sit up in the bed. I pick my phone back up to check the time. 5:45 A.M. The sun should be coming up soon. Despite not getting very much sleep, I decide to just stay up. Soon a gleam of light appears through a few windows and even a sliding glass door. I'm not trying to snoop around, but I also don't want to just lay here until the sun comes completely up. I decide to watch the sunset from wherever the sliding glass door leads. I slide out of the unfamiliar bed and use my hands to feel my surroundings that the light through the window does not clearly show. I am caught off guard by the light in the room coming on. "Ahhhhh!" I scream. I turn around only to see Pierson with a funny facial expression. "I didn't mean to scare you." He laughs hysterically. "I want to watch the sunrise." I say while pointing at the door. "Then come on." He says starts walking towards the …show more content…
Thankfully I wasn't in my onesie because that would have been embarrassing. A flock of seagulls are walking around close to the water, looking for small clams to eat. "It's so peaceful here." I finally say, breaking the silence. "I enjoy watching the sunrises. Every sunrise is a new beginning. A new beginning to fix a mistake I made in the previous day." He responds while walking up beside me. "Do you ever throw parties here?" I ask. "None that I'm proud of." He shakes his head. I've never been to party, aside from the birthday parties consisting of five or six people. But I guess that's just who I am. I'm not interested in being the life of the party. Nor am I interested in drinking or smoking. I'm sure if Pierson had the chance to redo his life, he wouldn't smoke or drink. "Why don't you ever smoke or drink around me?" I ask another question. I know he still does those things, but I'm curious to as why he doesn't do it in front of me. "I'm ashamed of my bad habits Prim. I wish I could give them up, not for my self, but for you. You're the most innocent human being I know. I can't bare to expose you to the darker side of life I'm addicted to." He
In the distance, the phone is ringing away , pulling deputy director , Lydia Keller out of her mind and back into the station office. Lydia quickly picks the phone up and presses talk, “Deputy director Keller speaking”, a male voice replies,“ma’am, it's constable stilinski” the officer says " we have an emergency and Detective Deyes requests your presence immediately" Lydia let's out a soft breath, whatever's happened must be bad if she is needed at the scene. “whats happened?” She asked. There's a brief pause before stilinski answers "... we have a triple homicide and it's .. messy" Lydia remains expressionless, there's no place for emotions in a job like this “I'll be there right away” Lydia says, hanging up the phone. Lydia briskly walks
"I'm sorry." She turns back to me as she reaches the door, "I love you Jim." she slowly shuts the door careful to hear the click, before she posts her set of keys through the
“Well please be careful and please stay with the rest of the group so you don 't get lost! And I hope you have a fun time there.”
she always used to wish for a way to escape her life. She saw memories
I'm elbow-deep in the Ford Pinto of grandfather clocks when my phone buzzes from the back pocket of my jeans. I wince with irritation, because if I let go of this wire now, I'm going to have to start all over. Leave it to my father to buy a Schwegler clock during a six month fad that's now into its second century of pissing me off. Fucking thing keeps time like a lamp. I pull the phone out of my pocket with my free hand.
Larry was returning a few calls when two disheveled gentleman step into his office. He recognized one of them from yesterday's visit, so he figures the second larger gentleman was the nephew. "Let me get back to you on that." He says, hanging up the phone.
Outside my window, the sky is an eternal night. Below pinpoints of light glow from torch fire. I quickly walk out of my room and downstairs into the parlor. “Pray pardon me but what is happening?” The congregation of servants look at me as one fearfully approaches me.
“My picture’s on here, but it looks photoshopped. I take it that’s so we get through check in. How did that guy even have time to do this?”
"Yes, Viccypoo-greatestpersonofalltime?" He groaned before asking if we could sleep. I glanced around him at the clock on his black night stand and it was past 12. I agreed, and turned off the light which was on the other black night stand on the other side of the bed. "Good night, Kells."
The phone rang twice now, and the lean figure of the half naked man sprawled on the plush queen size bed finally groans. It's a classical one, D Major, one to sooth a lover of fine music. He's not a lover of such music, however, he's into blues and jazz, but it didn't escape him the wish to strangle the person who put that tune on his phone. How he wish it meant as a joke. The person who customize the tune clearly wants to piss him off.
I see the night making its approach from far away, like a swat team breaking into a house without previous notice. The stars’ shine like the bright lights at the disco making humans to move at their own rhythm. The breeze touches my window trying to find a safe place to pass the scary and dark
"Come on." I follow him to the edge of town. Five figures seem to be lounging around on the bridge, and Daitane moves forward with no hesitation to greet them. I hesitate. Our meeting last night had felt cold.
The silver moon suspends in the velvet sky, glowing dimly. Moonlight travels through the yellowish leaves and sheds on the land. I see the obscure, indistinct shadows of the trees are swaying on the floor letting me have the illusion of thousands of devils dancing slyly in the night, planning some evil trick. The hazy mist surrounds the street making it more mysterious and attractive, and the bright...
"That's- My.... Room...." She trails off and gives up. " Okay.... Cool....
Allison: Yes. Now, it's strictly social. I'm not competitive anymore. Now, it's just about the cold glass of something and a good time.
