It all began with a simple phone call one morning just as I was waking up. “Trevor” my father hollered up the stairs, “It’s for you. It’s Jenny King, and she sounds upset” As I dragged my feet down the stairs to pick up the phone, I was not happy. I was exhausted from going to bed late last night, I had a horrendous headache, and I was looking forward to a nice quiet morning at home, binge watching T.V all day and taking naps. Thirty minutes later, however, Jenny’s blue Ford Explorer swung into our driveway. Jenny was leaning on the horn before the car came to a full stop. Grabbing my fuzzy brown coat from the stained carpet floor, I walked out my front door with all the enthusiasm of a man going to stand before a firing squad. As I walked out and approached the car I saw Jenny, her bright blonde hair covering her blue eyes and her head on the steering …show more content…
“Ok,well, we just wanted to show you what may be evidence, that could potentially provide more answers to what happened to Ben last night.” I replied “You know what? I got a call last night about a lady complaining of a noisy party. I came to shut it down. It turned out that Dave was hosting it. I saw some of these exact beer cans there” My dad told us. “I remembered Ben saying something about wanting to go to a party last night but my parents said ‘no’ and wanted him to stay home and do chores around the house” Jenny added. “ Yea Jenny your parents have judicious I don’t like Dave. I think he's a bad influence on my son”my dad responded. “Well dad, I'm sorry to tell you this but I went to that party last night. I didn't stay very long because my girlfriend Annie and I were supposed to go there together but she never showed up. I was going to tell you about our plans, but I knew you wouldn't approve of it ” I told my Dad

The Creature That Opened My Eyes Sympathy, anger, hate, and empathy, these are just a few of the emotions that came over me while getting to know and trying to understand the creature created by victor frankenstein in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. For the first time I became completely enthralled in a novel and learned to appreciate literature not only for the great stories they tell but also for the affect it could have on someones life as cliché as that might sound, if that weren’t enough it also gave me a greater appreciation and understanding of the idiom “never judge a book by its cover.” As a pimply faced, insecure, loner, and at most times self absorbed sophomore in high school I was never one to put anytime or focus when it came time
I didn’t know what happened, but worse, I didn’t know what was happening. The sounds of footsteps neared my body, but I was too hurt to react.
“It came from the fog…” A newspaper article explaining the death of my parents. Five years ago, I came home from Girl Scout camp, to find my parents died in a supposed murder. Not being told the details, I knew that I did not have any family to take custody of me, so I would be put into foster care. After three years of bouncing from house to house, I was finally paired with a family who was willing to take me permanently into their home. I attempted to let go the mystery of my parents’ death, and started looking forward.
He was now ready for act two, Peeking out through a small crack in the boards that were nailed to the windows to keep people out it was but a few minutes when he heard the police car pull up. He watched the patrol car driving slowly as their spotlight searched the outside of the building. The windows boarded with half decayed panels of wood, glass and debris covered the yard. Jesse ducked as a beam of light flashed over his head through the cracks in the boards. He questioned, it didn’t make much sense to board up the windows and not block the doorway entrances.

The streets of New York were glisting with the glow of street lights that shone down on the wet pavement as Elena Gilbert made her way out of a small bar she'd been hanging out in for the last few hours, which had smelt of stale ciggerates and regrets, but it mattered little to Elena. After several rounds of shots she'd spent most her time dancing and teasing the men and women into falling for her, compulsion was never needed. She could simply flash a smile, bat her lashes and they'd be hooked to her. There was a time Elena would have cringed at the idea killing people like this, not now. Two years had passed since Katherine Pierce had killed her younger brother, Jeremy Gilbert, two years since her humanity had been switched off.
It was a cold October afternoon in 1996, and I raced down the stairs and out the front door, in an attempt to avoid my mother's questions of where I was going, with whom, and when I'd be back. I saw my friend Kolin pull up in his rusted, broken-down gray van, and the side door opened as Mark jumped out and motioned for me to come. I was just about to get in when my mother called from the front doorway. She wanted to talk to me, but I didn't want to talk to her, so I hopped in pretending I hadn't heard her and told Kolin to drive off.
“Jesus Christ. The news reports that guy I set you up with is a pimp and drug dealer, and that he’s missing. I saw his face on the television. I wasn’t honest when I told you that he called me first. I actually met him at a coffee shop and we sat down and had a cup or two.

It was cold, damp, the smell of old earth, vomit, and other bodily fluids filled the air the further through the corridor you traveled. A single torch was lit by the locked door at the bottom of the stone stair case that seperated the free from the imprisoned. On the other side of the door were rows of stone walled cells. Prisoners never meant to see the light of day again. "
The Haunted A whole village went to sleep the normal way in their own homes only to wake up the next morning all of them in a field outside the village, what happened? It all started when my friend Coco was playing with a ouija board and what my friend jack had asked is, “what can you do”? It said “go to sleep and you shall find what you seek”. So when we went to sleep we woke up in that field, it was so cold and dark, I couldn't see anything it was pitch black so we had to walk the whole 20 miles back
Crunching of leaves rang out and filled the everlasting silence, where bird calls and the drone of insects were not. “Hello?” I exclaimed, exasperated, hoping someone would hear me. A heavy fog lingered between the trees as it hugged itself to their bark, making it difficult to see past a few feet. Additionally, shadows swarmed me like flies flocking to a decomposing corpse.
