Where reps are able to learn the business from more experience reps from the most successful in the San Diego branch. The problem is with the culture of Northwestern is there is no time structure for the reps. New reps have to come in at 7am for training and then they can make phone calls and have meetings whenever though out the day. What they need to do is have a leader those leaders from 7am-9am Training and development (Monday and Fridays). Also leading and being present from 9-12pm reps will make phone calls while we are in the office. The leader needs to be encoring to make a culture that is excited to make calls during this time. The goal is to make 40 phone calls during this time. From 12-5pm reps will be in the field having Meetings with prospective clients. After this time, they are off the clock. Creates a culture where there is no fear to make calls in the office area. All new reps are in the cubical often these new reps 1-4 years of experience are too afraid to make phone calls in the office because other reps would critique their work on the phone. The change will have to come from the leadership to block of the time for the reps so that they make good business practices. Training is optional, but we want the reps to choose what training best suits their business to help them utilize their talents to successes. Even though it is now 2014, the company still has a large market share and very satisfied employees, so clearly the culture leaves employees satisfied and motivates them to work hard for the company.
My experience serving for Georgia Athletic Hospitality has been beneficial in my search for a career in the field of Sports Management. Through this practicum I have learned more about what it is that I want to do, and I have also learned what paths I no longer want to pursue. I am thankful for the experiences I have had. The practicum has also helped me learn how to better handle a high paced environment. I was able to network with valuable contacts and form relationships that will help me in my future. Georgia Athletic Hospitality is unique and structured organization. I will go into further detail using a SWOT analysis to show the overall position of the company. I will also analyze my own position within the company and my experience though this practicum. Lastly I want to reflect on my thoughts of the practicum and what I plan to take away from this experience.

I have become so passionate about DECA and wish to pass that down to incoming students and students who haven’t yet become involved in the organization. Like DECA, I want to inspire future leaders and business students within the school. I would like to work towards the expansion and promotion of the club. I want to help other students become better competitors, as well as expand my skills. My Entrepreneurship Promotion Project next year will introduce 8th graders to entrepreneurship and DECA. By the end of my workshop, I hope that all of the students will be signing up for business classes their Freshman year. Along with DECA, I am very dedicated to Drama Club and my school work. Using my skills from DECA and marketing, I am running for the Promotion position on the Drama Club Executive Board. To balance my time, I am willing to do whatever I have to do to split my time between the boards. Drama Board only meets once a month, and I am willing to spend my lunch and my study hall next year with the DECA Executive Board if necessary.
