Market potentials and risks
India’s rapidly growing economy generates more than 600,000 tons of electronic waste every year, a number expected to reach 3 million tons by 2015. Being a power city of the state of Madhya Pradesh, Indore exerts a significant impact upon commerce, finance, and education, and has been described as the commercial capital of the state. Indore is a commercial center and hosts a market for many goods and services. Indore has contributed $14,000,000,000 to India’s GDP as of 2013. However, 80% of the e-waste generated in Madhya Pradesh is from Indore. Madhya Pradesh is ninth biggest e-waste producer in the country. The state generates around 15000 tonnes to 25000 tonnes of e-waste per annum which is expected to go up significantly in the coming years.
Computers, information and communication technologies equipment, TVs, refrigerators and washing machines drive the growth of e-waste recycling industry in India.

The recycling chain for e-waste recycling through Attero consists of four stages:
• First Stage - Manual segregation of components, where different parts of E-waste are separated.
• Second Stage - The mechanical separation process is applied. In this process, ferrous, aluminum, plastic and nonferrous material are initially separated.
• Third Stage - The plastics are then recycled by Attero Group’s innovative plastics recycling process which further processes the plastic.

The existence of illegal recyclers impacts the efficiency of collection systems and business operations. A designed dismantling facility with proven technology is needed in Indore which Attero Recycling Private Limited possesses.
After analyzing the results and findings of the research I have come to the conclusion that it is indeed feasible for Attero Recycling Private Limited to open an e-waste management facility in Indore and have Indore as a potential prospect in their expansion plans.
