After taking the test on November 1, 2017, I learned a lot about how certain things factor into deciding how you act or how you are. Many people believe that profiling was the best way to identify possibly qualities of a person and many others worry about the social aspect of the matter. While some people began to target people based solely on their ethnic background instead of getting to know them. Neither of these techniques seems accurate to judge a person. The Keirsey personality test was designed to measure a person’s disposition through answering 72 questions. The test is designed in such a way that each question has two answers and you the test taker has to choose one that appeals to you. The expected …show more content…
I do agree with the results of this test because before I took the test I considered myself a perfectionist and after taking the test it's just reassurance that I am. The Keirsey test and the perfectionism test are comparable in many ways. For example, they both test the human nature aspect of life and how one reacts to certain ideas. They also compare to each other in the fact that they test on your moral character as a human. There are multiple strengths and multiple weaknesses between the two tests. One strength of the Keirsey test is a loyal strength that shows the enthusiasm after taking the test grows and turns into loyalty to the category you were placed at the end of the test. A weakness from the Keirsey test would be taking the test too seriously and forgetting everything and just focussing only on that category you were placed. The perfectionism test has many strengths and weaknesses also and one strength would be taking the test and being a one hundred percent perfectionist and being patient with everything you do to make sure it’s perfect. A weakness on the test would be becoming a procrastinator with everything you do for example finishing a test or paper the day before its due. I do believe that a personality test is a valid tool in the simple fact that they narrow down multiple aspects of a person in a short test. It also works because you don't need to be evaluated by a person who wants your money first just to give you the same
The questions were very thought out and not too broad which was an intelligent idea because if you want to achieve specific answers in a personality assessment, there needs to be specific questions. I read a book about the Big Five before this assignment was assigned so while I was taking the test I could partially tell which questions corresponded to which division of the Big Five. Nevertheless, that did not have an impact on how truthful my responses were. If I were to take the test again I do believe that I would get a similar score because I answered honestly and the answers I chose were the ones that represented me the best. I assume that the test would produce results for diverse groups of people as long as the information about gender, age and country were answered correctly. I thought that having a test that compares similar types of people to each other was a brilliant idea for the reason that it could have been too generic if
Williams defends the idea that, SOMETIMES, it might be relevant to use race as ONE of the factors used in a profile; however, this does not mean that we should target a whole group of people. She sustains her point by illustrating a particular situation. If, for example, there has been a lot of cases of Canadi...
While taking this test and reading about the information that was provided I was not really surprised about what information was given about my personality. I am 95% of what this test says I am. This exercise helps very little because I arty new 95% of the information is going to give me, it is a good tool to give you that support he would need if you are doubting yourself.
... we are able to characterize the nation’s personality. Cultural awareness will outline each individual temperament coming as one whole.
Utility of assessment. Why are these types of personality assessments useful? Did you find the results useful? Why or why not?

I found the results of my self-assessments to be a very insightful and accurate description of myself. The results of the learning styles test and the Keirsey Temperament Sorter II are very valuable for examining my personality traits and learning style and making improvements as needed.
In the vast and detailed world of psychology, there are a variety of different tests you can participate in. For example, you can participate in aptitude, verbal or numerical reasoning, and psychometric tests. These tests assess a variety of different situations such as: behaviors, abilities and intelligence. Personality tests, a common and favored test, measure things such as: behavioral style, opinions, motivators, personal values and career interests. Most often, people complain or disagree with the score of some areas on their personality test; however, there are no right or wrong answers.
The first personality assessment I took is called The Big Five Personality Test. The test is said to help me understand why I act the way I do and how my personality is structured. The results that I got showed me that my personality was high in agreeable ness and also high in extraversion.
The tests help to speed up the process of hiring new staff in businesses. My thoughts prior attempting psychometric tests have changed; I now think they are key when hiring new employees, as having the best employees will lead to a successful business. Having attempted the tests, I now know what I need to improve on to ensure I have the best chances of employability. There are a number of resource available which I can use to improve my test performance and by practising I will know exactly what to expect when applying for placements and graduate jobs in the near
The test overall did a fairly accurate job in measuring the various factors of my personality. I only disagreed with two of the ten factors, which I merely saw as an overt measurement. The test appeared to be valid for the most part pertaining to my case, and since validity correlates with reliability, its reliability appears to be relatively strong. However this is merely an opinion based on my interpretation of my own personality. It could be equally likely that other people may get many scores in which they totally disagree on. Since this test was written 20 years ago the question of re-standardization also comes into play. As for cross-cultural differences discussed in the introduction, to me it is unclear whether or not the questions are common to all cultures and backgrounds, yet among English speakers the questions seemed well structured. While no test is perfect, the 16 PF does seem to have relatively high reliability and validity, making it ideal in measuring personality traits.
Taking a personality test is something that I have had to do a few times. First in college while going for my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, then while attending Airman Leadership School, and finally for this class. Taking these test all three times I have received similar if not the same results so I think that I have answered these truthful each time. Some of the tests that were required for this class were more in depth, taking 82 sub test
In application, I needed to understand my personal behaviors, tendencies, and those of others in my organization so I can better interact and serve others (Fischer, 2006, p. 1). For instance, although I let things brew to gather facts before applying a logical decision, some people use a quicker decision process (Nutt, 1986, p. 358). Additionally, I am optimistic and a realist concerning workplace diversity as I view it as practical and useful to understand and collaborate with others (Pearson Education, 2016, I.B.4). While others may not share my same beliefs, I acknowledge that an organization consists of unique people who bring their own values, personal beliefs, lifestyle preferences, and behaviors into the workplace (Fischer, 2006, p. 3; Pearson Education, 2016, I.B.4; Robbins & Judge, 2009, p. 23). Knowing that people have different personality traits, one key takeaway for me is an emphasis on understanding and using the information discovered from my personality test so that I can have a greater impact on subordinates, peers, and the organization I lead (Robbins & Judge, 2009, p.

These sites provide some personality screening test for some position in the organisations. Personality checking via computerized system is getting more popular now a days.
