Within the Jung Typology Test (JTT) it states that my type of personality is introverted, sensing, feeling and judging. The results indicated I am an introvert over extrovert, the score showed 56%. There was a marginal or no preference to sensing over intuition at 1% for this result. Moderate preference to feeling over thinking at 25%, and a strong preference to judging over perceiving at 78%. So this is saying that I am an introverted sensing with extroverted feeling. The JTT states that I focus internally on myself; I take emotions, feeling, etc. in via my five senses in a literal concrete fashion. The test indicates that I have this overwhelming “need to be needed” which I do not feel is the case. I am happy to do my daily routine without and sort of interruptions. The test does state that people with my type of personality are "unappreciated at work, home and play. Ironically because they prove over and over that they can be relied on for loyalty and I'm unstinting high-quality work, which people often take us for granted" (Myers, 2013). When reflecting on my own life the quote from Myers (2013) for the most part is correct. I have had many issues at work with doing my job above and beyond satisfaction of my employer, but it has often been other people who take the credit for what has been done. Even though it does bother me I do not care enough to correct the situation. The way I see it is if I am not working anymore and things go downhill the employer will recognize the situation. At work we are accurate workers with really good memories and unexpected analytic abilities, we are also good with people in small groups or one-on-one interactions. We are patient and we are genuinely sympathetic. The test states that we are ... ... middle of paper ... ...is test is based on extensive scientific research and not generalized personality information. The creator of the JTT, as well as his or her partner had to put a lot of work into it. There are many people who post online at this personality test is very accurate and or get on to how they are, you cannot get that just from luck. While taking this test and reading about the information that was provided I was not really surprised about what information was given about my personality. I am 95% of what this test says I am. This exercise helps very little because I arty new 95% of the information is going to give me, it is a good tool to give you that support he would need if you are doubting yourself. The questions were very thought out and not too broad which was an intelligent idea because if you want to achieve specific answers in a personality assessment, there needs to be specific questions. I read a book about the Big Five before this assignment was assigned so while I was taking the test I could partially tell which questions corresponded to which division of the Big Five. Nevertheless, that did not have an impact on how truthful my responses were. If I were to take the test again I do believe that I would get a similar score because I answered honestly and the answers I chose were the ones that represented me the best. I assume that the test would produce results for diverse groups of people as long as the information about gender, age and country were answered correctly. I thought that having a test that compares similar types of people to each other was a brilliant idea for the reason that it could have been too generic if
We have also read some information about how Carl Jung defines personality and he uses, eight personality types based introversion as well as extroversion. Jung states that our attitudes seem to have a tendency, to behave in a certain manner. Jung believed that individuals who classify themselves as introverts place importance on their personal views of the world, while individuals who classify themselves as extroverts seem to place more importance on detachment and surrounding influences.
He defines introversion as the turning inward of psychic energy with inclination towards the subjective aspect of experiences (Feist & Feist, 2009). On the other hand, extroversion refers to the turning outward of psychic energy that leads to the tendency to turn towards objectivity and away from subjectivity. However, Jung identifies that humans rest somewhere on the scale of a balance between introversion and extroversion. The implication of this theory is that some people may portray a high degree of one aspect and a lower degree of another (Jung, 2014). On this basis, those who are referred as introverts are those that have a low degree of extroversion and the same applies to extroverts. Jung also notes that the functions of sensing, feeling, thinking, and intuiting impact on the personalities of people and moderate their degrees of extroversion and
The Myers and Briggs personality test is unlike many of the personality tests you will find randomly online because it was designed to examine the ways in which you focus on the world and make everyday decisions. After taking this test myself I have found out a few things about myself that I did not really notice before. According to the Myers-Briggs test my personality type is INFP, which stands for Introversion, iNtuition, Feeling, and Perceiving. At the start of this test I had no idea that I was considered an introvert because as far as I can remember I have always loved being around people and never really thought about things before acting, which is the exact personality of an extrovert. The end of this personality test has a section that describes the different traits of those under that category and as for what it says about me I do feel that it matches some of my traits to a tee, but at the same time I feel like there are a few traits that are a bit off. Perso...
After taking this personality test I could not decide if I felt that my results were accurate about me or not. The personality test resulted in describing me as an extravert, intuitive, feeling, and judging (Humanmetrics,
My initial reaction to the personality test we took was surprising, I was surprised to see how much I had not changed since the last time I took the test. I took the same test last year, I took it in Future Focus the second trimester. Although it was only a year ago, many things can change in a year and the results could’ve changed from last year to this year. They didn’t so that’s good, well at least for me, its nice to know I'm consistent in my personality; most importantly it’s great to know that I haven’t had any outside influence that dramatically changed who I was. As any other man made thing, the personality description in my views is wrong in some areas. ISFJs as described by the article are very private about all their own personal feelings, thoughts, opinions, everything in general. I don’t keep all my emotions, problems, thoughts, or opinions to myself; I have a support group composed of my closest family, and friends. It would be very difficult to live that way, but I guess it is also in there for a reason. Overall the article was very accurate in their descriptio...
The personality test, based on my interpretations, seems to be pretty accurate. Though I find it difficult to take such surveys sometimes, the personality test has supported many of the claims that I have previously established about myself.
The Jung Typology Test is designed to give the participant a 4-letter formula which describes strength preferences of one’s personality type. The formula is based on whether the participant favors Extraversion or Introversion, Sensing or iNtuition, Thinking or Feeling, and Judging or Perceiving when it comes to the participant’s general attitude. One will also receive a Temperament, which is based on one’s personality type formula, and can be used to make somewhat accurate predictions of the participants preferred behavior. In this essay I will discuss the results that I received after taking the test. Having a personality type that prefers extraversion, sensing, feeling, and judging comes with many strengths and weaknesses when working in
Although some would argue that their results are nowhere near correct, I would say that mine were, for the most part, spot on. I did conjure up a few disagreements; however, a more detailed and longer test might be able to give me a more in depth and accurate rating of my personality. The conclusions of my test say that I am moderately open to experience, highly conscientious, moderately extraverted, and high in both agreeableness and
I think overall the test was very accurate in describing my personality type. I am a nurturer, kind-hearted, and want to believe the best in people. The portrait of ISFJ’s was spot on, however, I disagree with some of the relationship weaknesses. They described my personality to be very emotionally needy, with a difficult time leaving a bad relationship, or moving on from an ended relationship. I have to disagree with this because I feel I am the type of person that once you lose my trust in a relationship, I am done with trying to make that relationship work. Once I have something against a person, it’s hard for me to over-look the issue, and just keep staying in the relationship. I am very independent and don’t rely much on others for my
The test overall did a fairly accurate job in measuring the various factors of my personality. I only disagreed with two of the ten factors, which I merely saw as an overt measurement. The test appeared to be valid for the most part pertaining to my case, and since validity correlates with reliability, its reliability appears to be relatively strong. However this is merely an opinion based on my interpretation of my own personality. It could be equally likely that other people may get many scores in which they totally disagree on. Since this test was written 20 years ago the question of re-standardization also comes into play. As for cross-cultural differences discussed in the introduction, to me it is unclear whether or not the questions are common to all cultures and backgrounds, yet among English speakers the questions seemed well structured. While no test is perfect, the 16 PF does seem to have relatively high reliability and validity, making it ideal in measuring personality traits.
My personality type is Extroverted, intuitive, feeling, perceptive or ENFP. According to the description in the exercise, ENFP's are warm, enthusiastic and live their outer life more with intuition and their inner more with feeling. This assessment is consistent with the results that I received in part I of the exercise. I am an extroverted person who enjoys being around and working with people.
One of the most prominent trends in organization today is the use of team to accomplish the work, which have assigned to an individual. Every team is made up of specific individuals and they are specialized in certain area of interest. If one of the specifications is missing It can be reflected on their performance. It indicates that, every individual is important for the organization. An individual’s performance within an organization and its relationship with its subordinates and coworkers is highly influenced by the Big Five personality traits. My Big five test results depicted that I am traditional/conventional individual with significantly high percentile of conscientiousness and agreeableness. I also have lower neuroticism and slightly
Taking a personality test is something that I have had to do a few times. First in college while going for my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, then while attending Airman Leadership School, and finally for this class. Taking these test all three times I have received similar if not the same results so I think that I have answered these truthful each time. Some of the tests that were required for this class were more in depth, taking 82 sub test
Section 1: Over the course I have learned I have a Jungian Typology of ENFP (Extravert, Intuitive, Feeling, Perceiving). I have also learned that the test says I am a productive person, but there are several ways in which I can improve my productivity. One major way to improve my productivity start tracking my time at work to identify where the time is being wasted. After getting the result back from locus of control its show that I am an internal locus of control. This means that my professional and personal goals are within my personal control, and external factors such as luck play a very minimal part of the outcome. Another test that I took that measures level of stress in a person life, but by answers simple questions about one’s life.
