Since the beginning of the time the most primary method of communication has been the face to face communication. In fact, for an extended time, face-to-face communication was the only method ever used. As the time passed many new methods came along with the use of letters, telephone calls, and emails. Even though with the improvements in such type communication, nothing like other types of communication has been able to change or replace the face-to-face method. Face to face communication is better than any other types of communication because it allows one person to recognize the facial expressions of another, you can tell whether if the person is telling the truth or not and it allows one person to express his/her feelings towards the person. …show more content…

For example, when a person is talking to someone or telling him/her about a good news. They usually smile and their eyes light up due to the excitement. Additionally, when a person is having an earnest conversation with a person. Their eyebrows are usually lower due to being serious and they keep a conservative face on while talking. You cannot recognize a person’s facial expression is while you are talking to him/her through a telephone. In fact, face-to-face communication involves more continuous turn-taking behaviors between partners. Because you can express them your feelings. When a person is expressing feelings of love or sympathy, no other method of communication will express them perfectly (1). Nevertheless, when a person is demonstrating his/her love for someone. He/she would be unable to express his/her feelings towards the other party you are talking to through any other types of communication. Basically, when a person is showing his sympathy, he/she must do it face-to-face so that the other party can see how much he/she means about what he/she says. However, when it comes to expressing sympathy for someone, using any other types of communication would not be enough. For example, by calling someone or emailing him/her to express your feelings towards the person. That would just show you do not have the time to care enough to go over and imply it to the person.
