It’s hard to wake up knowing that your day could be your worst yet. Knowing you throw a fake smile on to please everyone and hide what is truly behind that smile. That’s what my life used to be like. this case choosing to be optimistic through force, you not only choose it in the end, you live it. Choosing to be an optimistic person is easy when you have support. My siblings are the biggest form of support, due to their unrivaled support through setting goals for me to beat and giving me advice on certain subjects. I used to be pessimistic, but ironically my sibling rivalry completely changed me into a positive thinker as well as having a positive outlook.
The most challenging part about being optimistic is my competitive nature, But there are two parts of that competitive nature. The first being sports. Here’s some background knowledge of my high school athletic career. Soccer was the main focus in my sports career, and let me tell you, it’s also my main source of frustration. Challenges set by my older siblings to make me fight even harder for success. Now more than ever I’m driven to succeed because of my siblings support as well as our rivalry. Their support is the most encouraging thing in my life. Without them, I’d be doing nothing but sitting at home wasting my time. I wouldn’t be playing soccer; I wouldn’t be judging livestock;, I wouldn’t be as active in 4-H or FFA, and I certainly wouldn’t be making something of myself.
