Cognitive-Perceptual Pattern. Cognitive and perceptual pattern is linked to the decision-making and problem-solving process (Edelman, Mandle, & Kudzman, 2014). This pattern reflects the ability of each individual to understand, process and use information and make appropriate decision based on their knowledge. Mr. and Mrs. X are a highly educated couple. There are not cognitive, mental or sensory problem refer or detected within the family. Their children do not show any attention or learning deficits. They actually seem to be very smart little kids, well prepare for their age and as denotes by their parents they both are one of the top grades in their class. Self-Perception–Self-Concept Pattern. This pattern is linked to the self-esteem concept and reflects the perception of the family toward themselves as individuals and as a family in the society, as well as their aspiration, their values, their expectations, etc. (Edelman, Mandle, & Kudzman, 2014). The X family do not show any self-esteem or self-worth issues. The family seems to be very happy with who they are and with their role within the family and the community. Belief, values, as well as family traditions and religious is important for the X family; who are growing up their children under the same standards and principles. Family customs and cultural traditions are well rooted within this family. Birthday and holiday celebrations are very special occasions for them. They are a Christian family, who are going to church every week. Love for God and help others are the forces that guide this family. They do not only show respect and love for each other but they demonstrate to be very compassionate and caring
