DESCRIPTION AND HISTORY
Google (2016) defines Chromecast as a media streaming device that plugs into the HDMI port on your TV. This device can then stream pictures, video, and music from your cell phone, tablet, or laptop. Chromecast is just one of the many devices and services created by Google, which started between 1996 and 1997. Google (2016) was originally called BackRub, a search engine that was run on the Stanford University’s server. Once it was determined that the search engine took up too much bandwidth Google was created. Google became known for offering relevant search results and also the infamous doodle, located on the Google search homepage. Overtime there have been a multitude of products and services offered by Google. There

“It also reflects that marketers must view consumers as people to understand their lives more broadly and not just as shoppers who consume products and services” (Kotler & Keller, 2016). The employees of Amazon have to be able to sell Google Chromecast and be able to make it successful as well as understand their customer’s needs. In order to keep Google functioning and growing their People Operations (known elsewhere as HR) and administrative staff are the curious and creative colleagues that anchor us to our foundations and help us shoot for the moon (n. A., 2016). Understanding that the staff is very critical to the marketing success of Google’s products helps them to keep their mantra …show more content…
Google Chromecast is developed so that the consumer can access plenty of apps instead of just what is in the apple store. Google Chromecast is able to stream from your devices (laptop, cellphone, etc.) to your TV to make it better to view than other programs. Google Chromecast, along with appropriate software integration on multi-screen devices, allow for shared presentational use of the TV through the playlisting of video streams (McGill, Williamson, & Brewster, 2015). The marketing strategy of Google Chromecast has to encompass the old 4 P’s as well, but it is all to gain the same objective, which is high profit, keeping current customers engaged and gaining more customers to use their

In this article, Journalist Christopher Tkaczyk takes the reader through five days of working at Publix Super Markets. In his day by day account, his main focus is to find the secret as to why Publix's has the "happiest, most motivated workforce in America". He takes a turn at each department in the super market and will see first-hand how the associates interact with the customers He discusses not only the employee satisfaction but he will show a glimpse in customer satisfaction. He explained that Publix's goal is to have their new associates achieve full-time status. Comcast Corporation is a company that specializes in cable networking and high speed internet access for residential and commercial customers. “Comcast Creates More Than 5,500 New Jobs as Part of Multi-Year Customer Experience Transformation” (Comcast.com, 2015). I spent a total of three years working for them in a call center atmosphere before relocating my family. This job was one of my most memorable and enjoyable mainly because they followed the management practices which allowed everyone to function efficiently. Nominally “The primary function for most call centers, also known as ‘inbound’ call centers, is to receive telephone calls initiated by customers. Inbound call centers typically spend 60–80% of their budget on staff members who handle phone calls” (der Horst, et al., 2012, 435). My days were spent with between eight to twelve hours a day attached to a desk and phone system monitoring all aspects of job performance. Comcast “today announced a new, multi-year plan to reinvent the customer experience and to create a culture focused on exceeding customers’ expectations, at all levels of the company. The plan centers on looking at every decision through a customer lens and making measureable changes and improvements across the company” ...
Several evident cases of misuse of authority by Police Personnel in the past have spread distrust and rage among the masses. What might add to this fury is the introduction of Google Glasses, which are hypothesized to being used for public protection, better surveillance and enhanced Police Patrolling. The NYPD’s use of Google glasses still raises serious privacy & confidentiality violation issues since they are perceived as violating the Wiretap Act and the Fourth Amendment's protection against unreasonable search. Despite their much talked about pros, Google Glasses potentially jeopardize the privacy of people.

After receiving a ridiculously high fee for returning a movie late, Reed Hastings said that there had to be a better way to rent and watch movies and TV shows from the comfort of their own homes. Hence, in 1997 Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph, a software executive, co-found what is known today as Netflix, “the world’s leading internet subscription service for enjoying movies and TV shows,” (Netflix, Facts). The purpose of this paper is to the process of exchange between Netflix and their customers, as well as Netflix’s approach to relationship marketing and how this marketing technique has helped Netflix leave their competitors in the dust when it comes to customer satisfaction.
Netflix’s value discipline is customer intimacy. Netflix offers a unique and differentiated set of services to their customers/subscribers. This allows them to personalize and customize the services and products they offer in order to meet the vast needs of their customer base at a relatively low cost. As “one of America’s most innovative technology leaders”, Netflix provides a strategic solution that is tailored to each individual customer. A competitive advantage is gained by using a professional strategy of consumer intimacy. However, this platform does not only provide them with a competitive advantage, it shapes the organizational environment, culture, and value design of the firm.
Then, systematically analyzing situational environments is a crucial way for organizations to identify their customers and understand their needs. As Peter(1998: 23) said, “The successes of any marketing plan hinges on how well it can identify customer needs and organize its resources to satisfy them profitably” (J. Paul Peter, James H. Donnelly, JR, 1998)

Marketing professionals create, manage and/or enhance brands in order to create or bolster demand for the product. A successful marketing plan will help assure that consumers look beyond just the price or function of a product when making a purchasing decision, in part, a well planned marketing effort will create a “feel good” association about the product the consumer is about to purchase (Petty) A key part of a career in marketing is to understand the needs, preferences, and constraints that define the target group of consumers or the market niche corresponding to the brand. This is done by market research. This is accomplished through market research, essentially using survey techniques, statistics, psychology and social understanding to help gather information on what consumers want and/or need, and then designing products, or services, to hopefully meet ...
According to Heath and Heath (2008), consumers seem to have a mistrust of marketing resulting in a disconnection between the agenda of brand managers and consumer interests. This mistrust lies with the consumer view that marketers are pushing for “excessive consumption” rather than really understanding attitudes and perceptions that lead to satisfying the needs and wants of consumers (Heath & Heath, 2008). Today, consumers are opposed to push strategies, and prefer making decisions about brands more independently. Hipperson (2010) has found that companies may have to “change from delivering push communications to creating pull interactions” (p. 263). This reflects the importance of listening to what consumers are demanding and then implementing strategies that will satisfy this ...
