Do you want to be trapped in your house with the little energy we have left to fuel our air condition because going outside in the extreme weather is too dangerous for you? Well, I would not. We need to be aware of the things humans are doing to our earth and try to globally inform people about the issues so we can start to fix them.
The Caribbean's is located next to the southeast gulf of mexico and east central of America. Living in the Caribbeans can be extremely nice at times, lots of people go there to vacation and sightsee because it is known for its beauty but when the weather is bad it is BAD. Also mosquitoes are largely apart of the caribbean's so if you plan on living there I suggest you back out now. The region is a jungle type.

I will be informing people about the benefits and downfalls of the climate there. Also if there are any reasons that are caused by man then I will let people know how they are doing so, and what to do to fix it. The purpose of letting people know about this would be to keep them informed about other countries and hopefully so people know to make smarter choices.
So, what is the main effect of the global climate change in the Caribbeans? Scientists believe that a big part of the unnatural causes of the climate change are caused because of human factors. The result of human activities causes greenhouse gas buildup in the earth's atmosphere. When producing the electricity power, the companies consume the biggest amount of fossil fuels which then makes the Caribbean's one of the greatest global warming and climate change in the region because of that.
What could be done to prevent man made pollution and what is causing it? Different things we can do to prevent the human made factors that add to climate change could be making farming climate smart, start building green cities, and just make smarter choices when it come to transportation or pollution or something as simple as
“…staring at the sea, beer in hand…Free time is now the luxury, not sugar…or any of the goods that delighted the fickle tastes of Europeans…Such goods are now taken for granted – they came with a price, too, though that has long been forgotten (Gibson, 347).” In response, after reading a passage that states, “What is the earthly paradise for our visitors? Two weeks without rain and a mahogany tan…at sunset, local troubadours in straw hats and floral shirts beating ‘Yellow Bird’ and ‘Banana Boat Song’ to death…every island, is an effort of memory; every mind, every racial biography culminating in amnesia and fog (Gibson, 348).” I am truly in agreeance with Gibson, visitors are devoid of Caribbean culture and history to this
In addition to lowering greenhouse gas levels and using cleaner energy sources, there are things we can do as people to stop climate change. We could reduce our use of electricity at our homes by turning off the lights when we leave the room, turning down/up the heating/ac when it is unnecessary, and using less water. Also, we could install solar panels in our homes and donate money to environmental protection agencies. Hopefully, the people of our world will soon realize climate change is a pressing issue that must be solved as soon as
The Caribbean is comprised of a group of island. Jamaica is one of the greatest Antilles. It has a tropical climate. Each country has its own culture, Jamaicans is not an exemption, and they have an assorted and distinctive one. “Their culture is a complex mixture of African, Arabic, European, East Indian, and Chinese roots combining together to create a rich, dynamic heritage” (Gall, 2009).

The question we bring before you is one that has caused controversy, anger, fear, and even prejudice around every corner of America. One that the United States government has asked themselves again and again with no real answer, should immigrants be allowed into our country freely? The United States have dealt with illegal immigrants ever since this country was founded in 1776. This country was built on immigrants. And yet, the US government still will not allow immigrants into America. They keep asking themselves, should we, should we, and should we? Our answer is yes, they should, pending, however, a background check, blood test, and be required to take ESL classes, because there are certain stipulations that are needed. If they have a
Illegal immigrants are makers, not takers. Many American citizens see these approximate 11 million illegal immigrants in a negative view and don’t want them living in their communities. However, many of these American citizens don’t know why illegal immigrants come here and what good they actually do to this country. Illegal immigration should be allowed because their quality of life is improved, they help the economy, and they bring job growth.
With the recent Paris attacks and rumors of foreboding ISIS attacks, the topic of immigration comes up quite often in conversations. Topics such as how the immigrants should be dealt with, what exactly are the benefits and/or detriments of immigration, Donald Trump’s immigration plan, et cetera are usually discussed. With immigration gradually becoming a trending issue, various people have expressed their thoughts through means like social media and news sites. Joining this movement, this will be another text on the topic of immigration. The benefits of immigration will be presented, false information will be proven wrong, and why some people oppose immigration will be explained and discussed. Immigration should be widely accepted rather than
The U.S. govemment has faced the struggle for various decades to put an end to unauthorized immigration from Mexico and into the United States. Immigration as a whole has increased from 71,877,120 in 1960 to 213,316,418 in 2010 according to the data created and also reported by the World Bank. The government has made multiple attempts to stop the immigration process by implementing harsher measures along the U.S. and Mexico border and at work sites across the entire country. These measures however, have failed to end unauthorized immigration as a whole as immigrants still find a way to sneak by, settle, and make a living.. Americans who have a reason to oppose immigration argue that the safety and the strength of the nation’s economy are greatly threatened. However, strong supporters argue that instead of damaging and putting the economy at risk they provide a more stable environment.
Unfortunately for the tourism industry of the Caribbean, most of it is controlled by companies located in other countries. With most of the profits going to foreign-owned investments, it leaves the country without control over its very own economy. It is unfair to the Caribbean economy because it leaves the country in the same state it was in during its formal colonization. Even though colonization in the Caribbean is formally over, I believe, in essence it still exists there.
The Caribbean region is made up of a large variety of small islands, which means that global warming, or climate change, has a big effect on the Caribbean. Their biggest problem that they face with climate change is rising sea level and melting glaciers. The sea level rises and the glaciers melt because of the carbon dioxide in the air. The sea level rises to about 10-20 cm in a century. This is a major problem for the Caribbean because it leads to flooding. A huge variety of people are at risk because flooding is a normal occurrence and the islands lie so low that the sea level takes over and floods houses or important buildings; the region is constantly being damaged.
I should receive a passing grade in this class because I can write now. Not just an exaggeration, but after another semester of English I finally feel confident that can write. Three of the reasons behind my confidence is I learned, I experienced and best of all I repeated. These three values helped prepare me for what is in store in English 1302 and here is why.
Barbados is located in the Lesser Antilles, and is the easternmost of the Caribbean SIDS. It is highly urbanized and has a population of around 300,000 and a landmass of 432 km2. (Rawlins, 2003); (World Health Organization , 2013; Henshall, 1966). The Caribbean is mostly comprised of SIDS and is the island group that is most predisposed to natural disasters and extreme weather events (Pelling & Uitto, 2001). The metamorphosis of the land development in Barbados is closely related to the islands socio-cultural history. On account of their colonial legacy, the Barbados was a rural landscape. The dominance of sugar as a mono crop, therefore, favoured the development of the interior agricultural land. It is only recently that the locus of development has shifted outwards to the coast in order to respond to the tourism demands (Scruggs & Bassett, 2013).
The Caribbean remains fragmented both economically and politically as a result of competition and conflict among the European powers. Fragmentation is in part the product of a long history as separate colonies of a metropolitan power or powers. It is also in part the psychological effects on people of separation by sea.
