Immigration Persuasive Essay

The U.S. govemment has faced the struggle for various decades to put an end to unauthorized immigration from Mexico and into the United States. Immigration as a whole has increased from 71,877,120 in 1960 to 213,316,418 in 2010 according to the data created and also reported by the World Bank. The government has made multiple attempts to stop the immigration process by implementing harsher measures along the U.S. and Mexico border and at work sites across the entire country. These measures however, have failed to end unauthorized immigration as a whole as immigrants still find a way to sneak by, settle, and make a living.. Americans who have a reason to oppose immigration argue that the safety and the strength of the nation’s economy are greatly threatened. However, strong supporters argue that instead of damaging and putting the economy at risk they provide a more stable environment.
Immigration has been a controversial topic for over the past centuries. However, along with the election of a new president. the public has also created a fight to overcome the challenges the government has thrown to those undocumented immigrants. Immigration can be described as a person relocating to a new place and settling in a form of advancement. While there are benefits to having immigration, people do not always view the positive side for both parties. Native people often view immigration as a threat to their country by arguing about the lack of jobs and some illegal immigrants take advantage of receiving help from the government. With regards to the United States, the struggle to enter the nation for a better environment and more advancement possibilities has only gotten bigger instead of diminishing. Immigration has been a controversial problem for over many decades. Although immigration has yet to be put to an end, the government has created various forms to delay the entrance of illegal immigrants. Furthermore, with the creation of the immigration reform, new immigrants that are currently trying to achieve entrance to the nation are being faced with the decision to turn back because of a better enforced border. Regardless of the racism and discrimination problems, it is hard to imagine how the country as a whole would be without the immigrants that people often complain about having around. Thus, one can view the country as a place for social and economic advancement.
