What does a veterinarian do? Veterinarians are people who are qualified to treat diseased or injured animals. Veterinarians must have a compassion for animals,helping animals and taking care of them. These skills are important to this career because it will go in depth with courses on specific animal species and body systems. Becoming a successful veterinarian involves obtaining a doctorate degree, pass a 3-6+ year residency, acquire a 1130 lexile, have a competency in many different subjects, and need good interpretation skills.
In order to be successful as a veterinarian, it is essential to obtain a doctoral degree, acquire a lexile of 1130, and complete a 3-6 year residency. These training classes are import into this career because helps prepares people before they get into veterinarian school. Studying subjects in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, microbiology, immunology, pathology, toxicology, biochemistry, surgical techniques, and many more will help as well(AVMA).
