I chose veterinary technician because I think it will suite me best; moreover later in life I can always go back to school to be a veterinarian whether then get the degree and not use it. I think veterinary technicians have important roles because the doctor will always need assistance with an animal and I would like to be on the side where I will not have to give shots or put them to sleep. Watching an animal get put to sleep is the hardest thing anyone could ever have to see or deal with. I can not be the one to put an animal to sleep it would hurt me to much no matter how much the job needed to be done. Working at the vet as a senior I have seen many gruesome things that veterinarians have to do; however the worse I have seen is the rabies observations. A rabies observation is for an animal that bit someone and depending on how bad the bite is depends on what route they choose to take. This animal had bitten someone pretty bad so they chose the route of putting it to sleep and they doctor had to cut the head off. After the animal 's head was off they stored it in the refrigerator and the next morning was sent of to a laboratory for testing on the neurological part of the brain; moreover it was the worst experience I have had while working at a veterinary clinic. That day I thought to myself I
Veterinary technicians are like the techies of the theatre; the organization would be able to function without them, but it would be much harder. Things run a lot more smoothly with vet techs. There are multiple benefits that come with being a veterinary technician. These benefits include, but are not limited to, a high job outlook, great room for advancement, and only two years of schooling (depending on the route you take). Above all, the animals, who aren’t always able to help themselves, are being taken care of.
Veterinary technician needs 2 years of college. Vets need to take biology, sciences and as well as math. Vets work with all different types of animals. What did vet do in the past. What was the pros and cons to being one and what was the skills for the job.

For this project, I decided to take on the career of a veterinarian. For as long as I can remember, my childhood dream has always been wanting to become a veterinarian. While other kids were outside having fun at the playground, I was at the library reading books and learning about the different animals. However, as I matured, I realized that being a veterinarian isn’t just about caring for and assisting injured animals. Being a veterinarian means having the ability to make quick decisions in stressful situations, showing complete dedication and passion to this profession, and being able to effectively communicate to pet owners.
In order to be a large animal veterinarian you must have to complete at least four years of college. In one way or another, I have been taking care of animals my entire life. Growing up, I was completely dedicated to animals, caring for what could be considered a mini zoo. Naturally, as a child, I was set on a career as a veterinarian. Like most children, I was naive about the veterinary profession, but I had plenty of people to warn me about its challenges. Albeit initially discouraged from becoming a veterinarian, my search for a meaningful career not only revived my spark for veterinary medicine but also gave me the maturity and experience necessary to succeed in it.
On the day of October 15, 2015, I interviewed Julie Tamburello, a veterinary assistant at Banfield Pet Hospital in Willoughby. The main job of a veterinary assistant is to care for animals and help prevent illness. Julie’s normal work day is as follows: clocking in, then she goes back and forth between looking at scheduled patients in rooms and dropping off patients. She normally gives her patients checkups, which sometimes include blood work and fecal tests. She also needs to collaborate with the doctors so they know what is going on with their patients.
In addition to helping sick animals, another option for veterinarians is doing scientific research and trying to make new medicines (Fact Monster).
Being a veterinarian is a great career choice because of the great interactions with varied types of animals, the amount of aid you can supply them, and the great feeling after helping the injured or sickly animals to their health. Some of the top vet schools are Cornell University (#1 in Ithaca, NY), UC Davis (#2 Davis, CA), and Colorado State University (#3 in Fort Collins, CO).
The amount of education that is required to become a veterinarian is a lot, but it will be worth it. To be a veterinarian you should take as much math and science as you can. Taking math and science classes is very important because those are the two classes that are going to be used a lot in the career. Before you can go to the last part of school must complete 2 to 4 years of pre-veterinary or science studies. Going through 2 or 4 years more of school will help when going to veterinary school. As a child, I grew up going to work with my mother who is a registered veterinary technician. I observed many different medical situations in the veterinary field. I went to work with my mom many days throughout a span of ten years; eventually I acquired a job at the same clinic. Working in this clinic I gained experience with developing loyal clientele, being sociable, maintaining client and patient confidentiality, respecting privacy, and withholding large amounts of patience. I learned skills such as drawing blood, doing lab tests, including x-rays, administering fluids and medications, obtaining a patent history, scheduling appointments, placing catheters, surgical assisting, large and small animal birthing, maintaining a multi line phone
