Boost Juice is a fresh fruit and smoothie bar that was founded by Janine Allis in 2000, Janine was on a trip to the US in 1999 when she noticed that the fruit and smoothie category was on the rise and that there was nothing like this in Australia yet. Janine took advantage of this idea and decided to create her own Juice Bar in Australia. Janine opened the first Boost Juice in Adelaide where she ran the business herself, from taking orders to making the drinks. Boost Juice became very popular and is now a nation wide brand and has also expanded to other countries also making this company operating the most juice bars in the world. Boost Juice had made over two billion dollars in global sales delivering fresh juice and smoothies in 17 countries. …show more content…
Janine had a passion for a healthy lifestyle diet and had been wanting to open her own business for a while but just could not find the right idea.
When she had the opportunity to run a Juice Bar company, she took it as she was passionate about healthy eating and this was promoting that. She wanted to create a unique customer service based on her “love life” philosophy, she wanted everyone to leave Boost Juice feeling “just that little bit better”. Janine studied her local retail department and noticed that there were barely any heathy fast food juices in the Australian market. When Janine learnt this, she realised this is what sets her apart from many other franchises, its healthy and quick. Janine marketed her business by making Boost Juice have a feel good vibe and ensured that everyone was aware that it is a healthy choice they are making by choosing Boost
Juice. As Janine’s business grew, she made sure that all her employees were positive and had the same attitude she did for this company. Janine says the secret to Boosts Success is that “Boost has a can-do attitude. We don’t believe in the word ‘try’ because that means I’ll give myself permission not to succeed. You don’t try, you just do it.” This is what Janine looked for in her employees to ensure that all customers got the same positive and enthusiastic treatment and that everyone wanted the business to grow more and gain more success. Janine believed that if you hired people who didn't have the attitude she expected, it could destroy the company as the wrong reputation can be associated with your brand. She wanted her passion and love for a healthy love style and fresh juice and smoothies to be spread among her employees and to the customers. Through her franchise and passion for a healthy lifestyle, Janine now has a net worth of $66 million dollars. Boost now has over 350 stores operating in 17 countries and on average is growing by 20 countries and 30 stores a year.
I think the advertising and sampling are the most effective out of the four. The way Jimmy Johns advertises is very different from other companies. They make them really funny and creates a new “community.” The poems shown in the video were very eye-catching and has a quirky twist to it. The “community” is very similar to that of Harley-Davidson’s lifestyle which was created and sold in addition to their motorcycles. The other part of the ads and commercials is that the sandwiches they make seem funnier. The product is almost thought of better than those of other sub shops because of the way they are promoted through advertising. I think sampling is very important in the food industry. No one likes to buy a lunch and end up hating it. Providing small samples will allow people to taste them first before spending all the money to buy a full

In this report I shall be looking at data compiled on the client and using this data I will analyse the market potential and demand for "health drinks" within the United Kingdom. Also I will consider whether it is viable to expand and develop the brand within the market whilst maintaining the socially responsible attitude of the company, in conjunction with the growing health trends and the client's ethical product production.

As stated in the case, “the market for energy drinks was growing; between 2010 and 2012, the market for energy drinks had grown by 40%. It was estimated to be $8.5 billion in the United States in 2013 [and] forecasts projected that figure to reach $13.5 billion by 2018” (pg 5). However, much of this market’s revenue -- 85% in fact -- is dominated by five major brands, while the remaining 15% is split between approximately 30 regional and national companies. (pg. 5). With this saturated market, it might not be best for Crescent Pure to enter as a completely new product to the industry, as there is the possibility that it will be squeezed out of the profit shares by more established brands -- especially if it is not properly secure in its identity. In addition, while the market for energy drinks appeared to be growing at an exponential rate compared to the market for sports drinks -- which increased only 9% in five years and would be at approximately 60% of the rate for energy drinks in 2017 (pg 6) -- the consumers appeared to be wary of partaking in the market for several reasons, which would potentially harm the reach of Crescent Pure. These concerns included rising news reports discussing the safety of energy drinks (pg. 5). Taking into consideration the data provided in the case that concerns reasonings of why consumers choose specific drinks over others, there
When trying to find the meaning of a song one must review the three main qualities of music; sound, lyrics, and the video. Artist and writers express their emotions by telling a story. Artists hope the listener is able to feel something or want to dance and move. Twenty one pilots a band under the genre of rap rock released a single called “Stressed Out”. This song tells the story of two young adults undergoing the pressures of growing up. Hearing the uproar in the beats, watching the video of the band members dealing with their family, and hearing the lyrics of the song depict the troubles and pressures you endure when you are older. The song’s message and meaning is explicit. The song, “Pumped up Kicks”, was created
...have tried to make their own sports drink in a carbonated form, such as a company called Vemma(founded by B.K Boreyko in 1996). Two companies trying to make a drink better than Gatorade or Powerade is Vemma and WakeUpNow. These two companies made their own products called “Verve” which was created by Vemma and “Awaken” which was created by WakeUpNow. Those two companies are examples that tried to make a drink better than Gatorade or Powerade but have failed due to their horrible customer satisfaction ratings, and their reputation. My point is that any company who tries to compete with multi-billion companies like Gatorade and Powerade will always fall short due to the fact that Gatorade and Powerade are the face of sports drinks in any athletic league. So sports drinks are what keep an athlete moving longer and more energetic to complete the goal they strive to get.
