After the company went public there is a decline in the revenue. As a result, the company incurred losses. According to the study conducted by 1010 data, Blue Apron has low customer retention rate. Only 10% of the customers are subscribing to their service. It is still to be determined the actual reason for the decline in the customer retention.
There are several reasons that can support the company’s poor performance. One of them is health and safety violations at its work place. One of the workers brought a gun to the work place to shoot his manager. Moreover, California’s Occupational Safety and Health nine violations on the company for its poor safety conditions. The safety conditions can put the workers at risk of fracturing their bones and chemical burns.

When they subscribe to Blue Apron’s service it’s hard to say whether they enjoyed cooking food. Those who did not enjoy cooking may not be interested to subscribe the service. As a result, they discontinue the service. While those who enjoyed cooking may have realized that the meal kits require short preparation time. Too many times employers do not take the proper steps in preventing workplace violence and the consequences are disastrous. In order to prevent danger in the workplace, employers must know how to identify potential violence and be familiar with the necessary steps to prevent it from happening.

Not only is the workplace violence increasing in those workplaces where violence is expected, such as correction, enforcement, and mental health, but also it has become a danger in almost every occupation that deals with the public. Therefore, few would argue that over the last ten years, occupational violence has become a serious problem facing workers and employers alike. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, murder was the second leading cause of death in the workplace in 1996, accounting for 15% of all workplace deaths. Although the press focuses on the “crazy worker-type violence,” where a worker kills his supervisor or co-worker, violence among co-workers occurs very infrequently compared to other types of workplace violence. Since 1992, violence among co-workers has averaged only about 6% of all work-related homicides. The rest are the result of robberies or other crimes.
