Task Role 1: The Initiator: The first step would be seeking You Tubers, in which one of a team of four members would need to dedicate their efforts towards scanning YouTube media and Facebook trending for a likely candidate. It can start with his or her initial judgment before proceeding with the rest of the decision. It would be his responsibility to coordinate with the other team members in order to reach a consensus that this person is an optimal candidate.
• This role essentially outlines the “Forming” and “Storming” stages of group development, in which the team doesn’t exactly know what they want to do with a given candidate and must formulate a new purpose for an individual. Furthermore, it acts as a bonding exercise to “brainstorm”

He or she will hold the sole responsibility of creating screenplay for the candidate in coordination with the candidate as well as any writer whom they may come to for assistance. Once the content is produced, it can be reviewed by the rest of the team for the following factors: appeal, copyright, and offensiveness, in order to ensure that the content will be enjoyed by the audience without risking any legal action.
• “Storming” and “Norming”, the team continues to cooperate on creating a purpose for their newly assigned project - the candidate. Additionally, the team begins to grow into an idea that they can all agree on (or compromise to) and will act to build upon a foundation - the idea - which is produced in the screenplay. Norms are formulated through this role.

The team finally works together at the most productive stage to create and execute the media for the rising star.
• Maintenance role since the Director is mostly in charge of the bulk of the project, and therefore they must ensure the whole team is dedicated and in harmony towards making this project a success. The Director can also be open to new ideas, which they can distribute to the entire team.
Maintenance Role 4: The Marketer: The Marketer is the final step of Oden’s process and they are expected for the advertising and media of the new celebrity. The Marketer will be put in charge of the candidate’s Twitter, Facebook, and of course YouTube page and will act as the webmaster for all online media. They will not need the team’s help too much for this specific role, but instead will rely on the candidate on how he or she will want to promote this new
The primary roles that were incorporated into group were defined by the leaders of group. Those leaders included the social workers and group psychologists, as well as students when appropriate. The leaders focused on task and maintenance roles, such as; coordinator, elaborator, evaluator, information seeker, initiator/contributor, opinion giver, procedural technician, encourager, gatekeeper, harmonizer, and standard setter. The individual roles was primarily the dominator. Due to the dominator portion of group, it changed the atmosphere and will be discussed later.
...move forward. Henry and Sasha should come up with a comprehensive list of tasks, grouped by short-term goals versus long-term goals. In order to meet the deadline, each member’s role should be more defined, and the tasks should be assigned according to team members’ background and strengths. Based on the members’ experiences, Henry and Dana should work on the business plan; Igor and Roman should provide music expertise; Dav, Sasha, and Igor should work on the technical aspects of product design and paten application; Alex should provide knowledge of music industry. In summary, Henry should take charge by leading the group to make a business plan decision and by matching tasks with the proper skill-set, though he may need to lead under Sasha as a figurehead.
Bruce Tuckman maintains that there are four stages of group development, forming, storming, norming, and performing. These stages are all essential and unavoidable in order for a group to mature, overcome challenges, find solutions, plan work, and produce effective results. (University of Washington, 2013)
A crew includes a screenwriter, whose job it is to provide the written blueprint version of the entire film. This is basically the starting point for any movie. Next there is the producer. There are many types of producers; executive producers, co-producers, assistant producers and line producers. They all do very different things. Some are the producers are responsible for raising the funds for the movie while others are responsible for the production that goes on during the filming of the movie and still other producers are in charge of what physically goes on the set. Then it is time for the director. The director is in charge of the actors. The director works with the actors to visually bring to life what was written on the screenplay (Fortunato, Who Does What on a Film). Now the idea needs to come together. The idea of writing, “what you know” is not always true and writing, “what you come to know” is in fact a more accurate way to write. Other good ways to formulate ideas are to use existing plays, novels, short stories, life stories, new articles, or even past TV shows and film. When using existing work a person needs to make sure that one secures the copyrights before starting write. Securing the copyrights does not mean one is finished yet. Now a person needs...
Teams should not appoint members who lack skills or motivation, but the manager should manage the team depending upon its members skills set and motivations, and ensure the size of the team is as required – not too small or large to complete the tasks.

The process of screening is an important component of the group being successful. Group leaders must be aware of their qualifications, weaknesses and strengths when deciding if they are capable of running a group. While the screening process is a three part process a leader takes this opportunity to recruit members, explain risks and benefits and get to know the possible members to see if they are going to benefit and be a contributing member. By keeping all of these things in mind a group leader can help ensure their group is set up for
As a team, our second team leadership role is that of a Summarizer. We're all good recorders/communicators seeing as how everyone takes notes on team progress, team decisions, and any assignments that need to be completed in the future. We created an agenda for the team and at the end of the group meeting the recorder of our group would then distribute copies of the responsibilities we equally share across the team to each team member.

My role as Senior Scriptwriter would be with the intention to support and contribute to the further development of the writing team. I would come into the writing team not only as a fellow writer but, as an advisor and capable leader. Continuing to establish the existing relationship between the writing team and other departments within the organisation would be very important to me. Maintaining close communication with the factual team, studio, gender team and other departments within Girl Effect as well as being the bridge between management and the writing team will be a critical role.
The stages of team development are forming, storming, norming, performing, and adjourning. Norming is the first stage that involves team members getting to know each other and trying to figure out where they fit in. As a leader, it is important to provide clear directions and set proper goals and expectations during this stage. Storming is the next stage and as the name suggest it is characterized with struggles, challenges, conflicts, and competition among team members. During this stage, I will provide a mediating role and facilitate conversations that steers the team towards the right
I like coming up with many different types of ideas in a group like the Idea Generator. I think that role can help others when they do not have the understanding of the assignment and could lead their minds in the right direction of the main topic to come up with their own ideas. Being a Helper in a group is a positive position to me because there is nothing like helping others in areas that help is needed in. It shows that I have understanding of the roles and that I am willing to help improve the assignment the best way that I can. I also do not like conflicts between people so I believe I can connect with the Mediator role. I have always been a problem solver and try to help others understand there is always a positive solution to all their problems. I believe having a happy team will help the members work better together to get the job done on time. When I am working in a group I do not like to procrastinate, so I can connect with the Decision Maker role easily. There are some members that like to beat around the bush when working on an assignment, but I like to get to the point and accomplish the goal on
The first stage in developing a team as it relates to group dynamics is forming, this is the stage where team members come together and they question what they are therefore, who else is a part of the team, who they are comfortable with, and this enables them to get involved as well as allowing the team the opportunity to introduce themselves to each other. The second stage is storming, and in this stage the team members begin to voice their opinions and differences as well as align themselves with others who share their same beliefs. This is an important stage for the team because team members will begin to become more involved with one another, and when they voice their concerns, they can feel like they are being represented and understood. The third stage is norming in the stage team members begin to establish a shared common commitment to the purpose of why the team is there, where they can establish their overall goals and how the goals are going to be achieved. In the fourth stage, known as performing, the team works effectively and efficiently to gather towards achieving the goal.
