Journal #3
1. What did you learn from this project? Give specific examples from strategy or perhaps something you learned about yourself.
From this project, I learned that building an art car can take you a long time to finish. At the Art Car Museum, one of the art car “Bat Wings” took about 200 hours to make. In order to build the car, there are many things we need to organize. Like we did in class; we need research, marketing, journalizing and yearbook, and HR teams to help Pershing Middle School students build art car.
2. How has it impacted you in terms of service?
It impacted me in a way that my knowledge and vision are expanded. Now I know more about our community and what people in Houston usually do in their free time. I enjoyed

What actions did your group take? (That is, what did you accomplish as a group or alone?)
We have used one of our class periods to work on the research part of this service learning activity. We all gathered and brainstormed on where we should begin. Everyone in my group, they pulled out their laptops then went on to websites and searched what we needed to know about the art car parade. I only had my phone that day, but I was able to search some information with my cellphone as well. We took one day off from class and drove to the Art Car Museum. We tried to find broachers that were provided there and specifically talked about the Art Car Parade, but we could not find any. We were only able to see some of the parade’s art car. I took pictures of the Art Car Parade winners’ car and post cards that has other cars’ photo. In the back of each post cards, it described martials and year it was made. We wanted to know more information, so we talked to a guy who was in the front desk. He did not know much about the parade. However, he said there is a cool place called the Beer Can House, which is acquired by the Orange Show organization. Better than going to the Beer Can House, we should go see the Orange Show Monument. Unluckily, the monument was not open. It made us feel regret, yet we did not give up. We called the phone number that was on Google and speak with Kat, who answered all the questions we want to
There is no doubt that automobile plays an inevitable role in the world’s history, especially in the history of America. Both Kline and Pinch and Flink are on the problem of automobile, but they certainly have various focus. In Three stages of American automobile consciousness written by Flink, it divides the auto history into three stages and mainly argues about the history or the development of automobile industry in America, which is written in a big picture. On the other hand, Kine and Pinch tend to discuss the connection between rural area and automobile, also how gender get involved in the social construction after cars are brought to the America.
Cars are a necessary part of our lives today. However, we also drive cars which suit our personal tastes and for pure enjoyment. Your car makes a major statement about your personality. Your vehicles are also a major investment and you want to do everything you can to keep them looking good for a long time. No matter what type of vehicle you have, whether it is a new car or a classic you should cover it with a car cover when not in use.
When we look at the classic Car image, it reminds us of the experiences that surround our daily lives. The Classic Car image is in black and white which reminds us of the picture realities that held sway some decades ago. I do not readily understand all that transpired in the wreck of this car. However, some points are quite easy to note. It shows that the beauty of every vehicle is not just in its outward design but in its safety features. This shot was taken from one of the vehicles parked in the Alaska Car Museum. There are so many stories that surround the cars in this iconic location.
Frieda Kahlo was born Magdalena Carmen Frieda Kahlo y Calderon in Coyoacan, Mexico, July 6th, 1907. She did not in the first place plan to become a creator; she entered a pre-Master of Education system in Mexico City. She endured more than large integer dealing in her brio time and during her convalescence she began to discomfit. Her beaux-arts, mostly self-portraits and still life, filled with the colors and forms of Mexican folk art. Frieda created some 200 spacing’s, artistic production and sketches germane to her education in life, physical and aroused pain and her churning relationship with her ex husband Diego. She produced 143 beaux arts, lv of which are self-portraits. At the time of her exhibition first step, Frieda’s health was such that her Doctor told her that she was not to leave her patch. She insisted that she was going to wait on her opening, and, in Frieda style, she did. She arrived in an ambulance and her bed in the backward of a transport. She was placed in her bed and four men carried her in to the waiting guests.
Art is something that has been around since humans have roamed the earth. It has been created by millions of different people, and has been influenced by many things. One incredibly big influence on art has been religion. Artists usually create work to express feelings and convey different meanings. It is no surprise that religion plays a significant role in this creation.
History plays a very important role in the development of art and architecture. Over time people, events, and religion, have contributed to the evolution of art. Christianity has become a very common and well established religion, however, in the past it was hidden and a few people would worship this religion secretly. Gradually, Christianity became a growing religion and it attracted many converts from different social statuses. Christian art was highly influenced by the Greco-Romans, but it was immensely impacted by the establishment of the Edict of Milan in the year 313 AD. The Edict of Milan was so significant that scholars divide Christian art into two time periods, time before and after the Edict of Milan of 313.
Honda, The Car Everyone Needs Beep! Beep! Beep! Goes the alarm clock in the other room. Oh man, surely it can't be time to get up yet, you think to yourself. As you scramble out of the bed and into the shower, the thought crosses your mind, I hope my car starts.
Module 1: Patient Advocacy Healthcare is an ever changing field. It grows and flows with the changes in society and the influx of new technology. In the early years of professional nursing basic needs of cleanliness and rest laid the foundation for the current advancements in infection prevention and safety. In this paper, the basis for safe practice will be identified thus allowing the nurse to work towards maintaining and improving the safe treatment of the patient. Advocacy is a pillar of nursing care (ANA, 2018), therefore exploring the role nurses play in advocating shares the knowledge that might enable the reader to strengthen this role in their practice.

From Mark Twain to Vincent van Gogh, each genre of art comes with its greatest master. There are many compelling arguments to why this specific artist, musician or writer is the best in their category. In modern days, we don’t have a Mozart, or a Hemingway or even an Andy Warhol. There are many good artists of their own kind and many more are emerging thanks to new technology and new forms of media art. However, many arguments are made as to why these forms of art aren’t considered true forms of art. A few years back and even today, many argue that digital paintings aren’t real art so it is not surprising when people don’t think of a video game as an art form, but it is. The world is at constant change and so is art.
If a local museum paid me to attract teens; I would have a lot of interesting activities planned. The activities would have to be appealing to the teenagers of course and they should be fun. The activities also should be educational and innovative. I would want them to bring out a person’s creativity and use their imagination. There could also be competitions and a prize for the winner of the activity. As a teen myself, I would find these type of activities very interesting and would want to try it myself.
In the art community there is a lot of controversy in distinguishing what the difference between an artist and a designer. Designers are told they are not artist and they need to stop thinking they are artist. When dealing with art and design specific demographics and viewers interpret the messages of each subject in different ways. Art is said to be elucidated and design is said to be understood. Artists usually develop a work of art with the intention of bringing an emotion viewpoint, instinctive feeling, and or state of mind. When you look at an artist work it cannot be limited to just exhibiting one individual thought or just one individual meaning. That is a big difference when it comes to graphic design. Graphic design usually has a very specific goal and point to make. When dealing with graphic design there should not be any room or space for any mixed messages or multiple meanings. The audience of the design should immediately understand the design that the designer created. Art connects to people differently in so many ways. The only reason it connects to people in different ways is only because it is interpreted differently.
“Art washes from the soul the dust of everyday life” (Picasso). These words about the fine arts describe not only life in general, but also apply to everyday life of public school students. Many students need something to divert their attention away from jaded academics that cause them stress and mental deterioration. Fine arts are the solution to that problem; unlike academics and athletics, they provide an outlet for students to be creative and discover their talents without the pressure other courses produce. Additionally, the arts stimulate the brain, and generally promote positive brain activity and development in teenagers. So, if fine arts positively affect students, then why are they so
I lived with my father for my entire life, but due to his work I did not spend much time with him. My father worked at a different city; and thus he comes home only a few times a month. My father is a mechanic. He works at a company that is distant from our home. This was due to the company being the only one and the first where cars were being assembled in Ethiopia. Sometimes on the weekends I used to go to his work place. He would give me a trip of the place; the station was filled with vehicles, trucks, and motorcycles. It was separated by sections. In each section there were only one type of vehicle and the assembly process was shown step by step. From a fuse to large engine of the car, components were getting attached.
